I would like to ask a question, not sure you'll answer. Have you ever recorded game play from the PS5/Xbox and uploaded to UA-cam? I thought about trying it but wasn't sure how to go about it. Any advice would be helpful, thanks and thanks for the videos!

Paul: "Fresh air never killed nobody." The dialogues in this game are gold! Watching the remake brings back lots of memories.
My little brother introduced me to the first version of this game in the late 2000's and to see it now restored brings back those memories, one of my favourite games to play.
This comment on the original game would make more sense. I remember the original game from 2002 those details and graphics were insane in that time. They felt better than Unreal 5 these days. The game was limited to 30FPS because 90% of PCs couldnt handle thet thing. 3CDs in 2002 was insane! Not saying this is a bad remake but not as impressive as the original one.
In the original game, Don's distrust of Tommy and Paulie seemed so sudden and made no real sense and seemed it came out of nowhere. In this version, we get to see it all building up right from their first meeting. Tommy is warned about loyalty over and over again all throughout the game. In the original, only time he was warned was in the car by Frank.
I played the second Mafia first and when the scene of Vito and Joe came I thought they were just doing a hit, but after playing the first one I've never been so mad lol.
Based off you saying that. Vito would’ve thought twice if he knew Tommy’s story. Vito killed so many people to where he became numb to it and assumed tommy was just a rotten little snitch. If Vito played mafia 1 he wouldn’t have killed tommy.

As a kid born in 2005 and having vivid memories of my older brother playing it experiencing the game for the first time is great brings back so many memories 🙂🙂
We talk about Gta 5, RDR2, GOW. But this game is right up there with those games. Amazing Story Amazing action. You will feel as if you are in some movie

I wouldn't say it's up there with them, having played all of these. The story is too.. typical, although still good. It feels like a standard GTA plotline. Move up -> Get good with boss -> Do his missions -> One of his goons gets jealous -> Betrayal -> Revenge. The other titles you mentioned (even GTA-5, though that's a stretch even I'd agree) are more diverse both in terms of storyline and gameplay.

The character of Sarah is one of the best ever females in gaming imo. She is the perfect example of a strong female in a game, not the usual, badly-written, unsubtle, in-your-face 'strong', but an actual strong woman. One who is shown to be strong, and not given lines of dialogue explaining why she is strong.
I was playing this ages ago and got 60% of the way through. Then got distracted. This video was perfect to recap me on everything I’d done already to get me back up to speed. Thanks! ❤
i'm just about to as soon as it downloads fully, i got the entire remastered trilogy on sale for only 23 bucks on a steam sale, i never played this game when it came to the classic or even this version, but the price being right and the crazy amount of positive reviews helped me make the right decision. it's very rare that i purchase games anymore since i'm usually playing something else that is addictive that i thirst very rarely for something new, but this video also helped in making the decision as i needed to see what kind of gameplay i was in for.
@@Lumostancia the first game is kinda meh, but hopefully the next 2 are way better. i mean the story is good, but the gameplay is well, it plays like it's a early access game with little support, the graphics look good, but the game plays like shit.
@@Anxiety_Asylum i do find it odd they created an entire open world map to play this title, but you can't really play it like an open world type of game, there are no activities outside the main plot from what i can tell so far, which means all of that map is potentially and mostly wasted, i get that it's a remaster of an older game, but it plays like a copy and paste of assets outside the graphics used in how you play it. again, the game is visually impressive and the story is really good, but outside of this the game isn't really that fun, and i got to be honest, even though the story is good, it doesn't really grip me all that much, i'm getting to the point where i'm thinking of moving onto the next title because i don't like the linear gameplay loop, not saying linear is bad, but because it's an open world game that only focuses on the linear story makes it not so appealing for me personally. i mean even open world games have a linear story, but they at the very least provide side missions with alternate activities endings depending on where you go in the story and other fun things you can do, this is just a playable movie at best, i could watch the rest on youtube and be satisfied over playing the rest myself. anyway, hopefully the second game is better, that was apart of the trilogy i purchased, and if that's more of the same, than hopefully the last game offers something good, because if it doesn't i guess it's just one giant movie in the form of a game.
This is how a remake is supposed to be made. New, up to date graphics, better quality sound and voice acting, but the same story and atmosphere. Not much has changed from the original, which is how I like it.

I don’t really see that, unless you’re saying the guns sound like they have less of an impact, which they do. But this remake blows the original game out of the water.
My memories came alive and it gave me a very strange feeling... I finished this damn thing 4 times but I never felt tired or bored... with the disaster that Mafia 3 caused, there is no new version. And a feat like this will not be repeated... A few minutes of silence in honor of Tommy.
We need more grounded games like this one, you don't need unicorns, aliens, or space lasers to have a good game. Just good characters and a good story. Single player games are where it's at.

This video is awesome 🤌🤌🤌 the driving well it’s subpar, the driving is rushed by the player but the game itself, the story ohhh its awesome 👏 I love it ❤️
I love how the creator chooses the muscle car from Mafia 3 whenever he can. Imagine your Paulie in Chinatown in the beginning of the old gas station mission, and then Tommy just rolls up in this absolute beast of car easily doing triple digit speed when most cars of the period only maxed out at 60.
I don’t what but this year games is really banging, I really feel like I’m Tommy. Beautiful story and GTA mechanics is fun to play, extremely likable characters
I don’t like how the Tommy Angelo of the remake is acting like a tough guy from the beginning. In the original you could see and hear that he never planned on working for the mob. Other than that: this is what a remastered should be.
Wow this looks amazing I played the original with my brother John back in the mid 00s , he was murdered in a shooting in 2007 brings back tons of memories awesome they remade this.
One of the first games that I bought. Together with gta vice city, half-life, age of empires and settlers 3 its some of my best teenage experiences playing pc games. A mate scratched the disc on mafia so i couldnt play it. Contacted the company and they sent a new disc. Class act!

Only the criminalist view of course, real men don't & didn't act like this. The only thing that I believe in that Salieri said he was about profanity "ignorant or lazy". That's true no matter what year it is.
They changed the game from it was released on the PC 15+ years ago. When the thugs assault Sarah, Salieri says he wants you to put them in wheelchairs so the little kids will point and laugh at them. The bit about the kids was cut from this version. Sam never asks you to spare Michelle. This is something Tommy does by himself and Sam only finds out later (and kills Michelle and chides you as a traitor for not following orders). Frank doesn't escape on a plane. He escapes on a zeppelin. When you break into the prosecutor's house, it's possible to stealth the entire mission. The safe has no alarm. You can break into the safe silently, steal the contents, and then through some deft manoeuvring steal the prosecutor's car when he comes home with his goons and enters his home. This version forces you to have a shoot out and break stealth. When you steal the booze from the car park, you drive the booze truck yourself whilst being chased by goons. The radio plays a retro song "You run your mouth and I'll run my business, brother". A lot of retro tunes missing from this game. Whenever you drive into Chinatown you hear a song about Chinatown on the radio which was removed as well Sergi Morello doesn't burn to death. You fight him in the docks and put a bullet literally in his forehead. With the cigar mission, Salieri doesn't tell you anything about the cigars. Paulie and Tommy discover diamond hidden in the cigar crates (I.e. there are no drugs). Because Salieri made Tommy and Paulie risk their lives for diamonds without telling them, they decide to do the bank job in secret. At no time in the original game is it ever suggested that Salieri peddled drugs (e.g. this game has Sam making a comment about drug money enabling the buying up of a lot of muscle). In the original Tommy criticises Sam for not being able to think for himself and blindly following Salieri's orders. At the end, Tommy dies in front of his property with his gardening hose. No big speeches about family beforehand or family members rushing to his side as he dies. Salieri is still a jerk in both versions. He gets all the bank money and has Tommy + Paulie killed on a "loyalty" excuse to cover the tracks of where his big bag of money came from. ALSO: Pretty sure that "Samson Drifter" is not period authentic and is a new addition to the game. Looks like something from the 60's. Cars like that didn't exist in the 30's and none of the other cars in the game look anything like it. Not even the race car you steal looks anything like it. I think it breaks the immersion of the game and is lame.
damn this is so nostalgic. used to play this as a kid... i still remember faking a fever just to sit home n play free ride extreme. this DE is great. they've given a lot of attention to detail, except for the cops tho... i just saw a police car drive by when Tom crashed onto a pole in the Corleone Hotel mission.

New generations will never know how superior the original was. The ending narration, man, what an epic experience that was. A masterpiece. This remake is just a pale image of the original, it simply lack everything true Mafia had.
As someone playing the original for 5th tine right now, this in some parts is much better. Gameplay wise. They diluted some things like weapon behaviour and speeding and signal breaking getting you wanted etc. But this game has pretty much stayed true to the original with better world building.
He is just saying the truth. The remake is to easy and the voice of Thomas changed to bad. I am happy that i was in 2002 in Prague for the original release. To bad most of the guys don't work anymore for the Mafia games.@@life-sf1oz
recently started playing this. I think we can safely say that this is the most impressive remaster of any game ever made. I'm keeling final Fantasy 7 out of that list because in my opinion that isn't a remaster of the original but rather a completely new game.
This looks like a very nice game, and yeah the graphics are great. But its lacking something that the original game has. The original mafia takes you away with it to another time. The atmosphere is very different.

This is one of my favorite games. So glad it got remastered. It's perfect in every way.

The voice acting is horrendous compared to the original, they butchered it. They would've been better off just using the original recordings

That is not true. The orginal Mafia game out for PS2 and XBOX in 2004. Till then the orginal was only playable for the pc. So it was maximum 19 years.

I played the original Mafia released in the early 2000s. I thought the story was amazing. After the sequels were released, I was even more convinced.

I don’t like how the Tommy Angelo of the remake is acting like a tough guy from the beginning. In the original you could see and hear that he never planned on working for the mob. Other than that: this is what a remastered should be.

One of the first games that I bought. Together with gta vice city, half-life, age of empires and settlers 3 its some of my best teenage experiences playing pc games. A mate scratched the disc on mafia so i couldnt play it. Contacted the company and they sent a new disc. Class act!

They changed the game from it was released on the PC 15+ years ago.
When the thugs assault Sarah, Salieri says he wants you to put them in wheelchairs so the little kids will point and laugh at them. The bit about the kids was cut from this version.
Sam never asks you to spare Michelle. This is something Tommy does by himself and Sam only finds out later (and kills Michelle and chides you as a traitor for not following orders).
Frank doesn't escape on a plane. He escapes on a zeppelin.
When you break into the prosecutor's house, it's possible to stealth the entire mission. The safe has no alarm. You can break into the safe silently, steal the contents, and then through some deft manoeuvring steal the prosecutor's car when he comes home with his goons and enters his home. This version forces you to have a shoot out and break stealth.
When you steal the booze from the car park, you drive the booze truck yourself whilst being chased by goons. The radio plays a retro song "You run your mouth and I'll run my business, brother". A lot of retro tunes missing from this game. Whenever you drive into Chinatown you hear a song about Chinatown on the radio which was removed as well
Sergi Morello doesn't burn to death. You fight him in the docks and put a bullet literally in his forehead.
With the cigar mission, Salieri doesn't tell you anything about the cigars. Paulie and Tommy discover diamond hidden in the cigar crates (I.e. there are no drugs). Because Salieri made Tommy and Paulie risk their lives for diamonds without telling them, they decide to do the bank job in secret. At no time in the original game is it ever suggested that Salieri peddled drugs (e.g. this game has Sam making a comment about drug money enabling the buying up of a lot of muscle). In the original Tommy criticises Sam for not being able to think for himself and blindly following Salieri's orders.
At the end, Tommy dies in front of his property with his gardening hose. No big speeches about family beforehand or family members rushing to his side as he dies.
Salieri is still a jerk in both versions. He gets all the bank money and has Tommy + Paulie killed on a "loyalty" excuse to cover the tracks of where his big bag of money came from.
ALSO: Pretty sure that "Samson Drifter" is not period authentic and is a new addition to the game. Looks like something from the 60's. Cars like that didn't exist in the 30's and none of the other cars in the game look anything like it. Not even the race car you steal looks anything like it. I think it breaks the immersion of the game and is lame.

damn this is so nostalgic. used to play this as a kid... i still remember faking a fever just to sit home n play free ride extreme. this DE is great. they've given a lot of attention to detail, except for the cops tho... i just saw a police car drive by when Tom crashed onto a pole in the Corleone Hotel mission.

И, вся трилогия про крестного отца просто легендарные фильмы/франшиза)))

As someone playing the original for 5th tine right now, this in some parts is much better. Gameplay wise. They diluted some things like weapon behaviour and speeding and signal breaking getting you wanted etc. But this game has pretty much stayed true to the original with better world building.

recently started playing this. I think we can safely say that this is the most impressive remaster of any game ever made. I'm keeling final Fantasy 7 out of that list because in my opinion that isn't a remaster of the original but rather a completely new game.

This looks like a very nice game, and yeah the graphics are great. But its lacking something that the original game has. The original mafia takes you away with it to another time. The atmosphere is very different.
The remake does the same thing but much better.
