Bubbles must have IOR =1 (refraction) same for the plane for the cracks (add a little thickness and booleans are not necessary), plus if you want to get an accurate physical result, use the right scale: an ice cube is not 200 cm big
Hey Michael. I've recently started to work on gpu based renderings and thus started to get familirize with translucent objects which I avoided due to render times. You've explained it really well. Thank you very much.
Thanks for making this tutorial, really easy to follow. I think you should dock your Octane Live Viewer though-it kinda bothers me that you have to move the window around so much between steps.
It’s not as reliable, but look into getting an EGPU, support is building for nvidia cards on Mac. Also look into the AMD ProRender, it’s a GPU engine that’s pretty good and pretty fast that works with AMD cards. No where near Redshift or Octane in terms of quality, but the speed is good and its 100 percent free
hi great tut! how did you remove the hdri from the render at minute 5:09 while stil having hdri affecting the light and texture of the ice cube? thanks
@@bxlxrteeworlds8782 3.07 i checked comments nd they say it's because i have an old version, is there any way i can replace it nd get the same resault? Maybe the mix material?

Really helpful. Cheers!
Nice tut, esp w/ the crack/null. My preference would be to see a bit more surface wetness/spec.
Awesome tuts. Hope you make some more video c4d and octane. Thanks
very COOL!
Thanks for posting this,
Thank you very much for your explanation
Nice one! Thank you!

Lovely
Thanks please keep it up.

late but use a compositing tag for the sky with the hdri, untick seen by camera.
You could make the texture available to the galley, more thanks in advance for the tutorial, it helped me a lot
Nice Tutorial, may ı ask what is the name of music in the background?
cool!!! can you send me an ice texture?
Is there a way to do this with a glossy material rather than specular?
Hey, don't think so. You need a "see-through" material
Can you share the texture map you are using?
Sir how can we make water splash in cinema 4D can pls make tutorial on this topic 😊
Hi! i cannot find this ice overlay on poliigon ( i have an account) could you tell me where to find it ? thanks for the great tut
Can't find the "Octane Blend Material" on my octane material list ..
Which version do you use? Maybe it's an older one
@@UnicutMedia Version 3.07. I don't have blend material either.
I think it started with 3.08. You should upgrade your licence to version 4, its a free upgrade
@@UnicutMedia Honestly, if they still are using 3.07, something tells me it's not legit software.
@@ignaciosagrario7295 yup bcs 3.07 is the only version you can crack :D i use 2018.1
