Just saw the show for the first time last night and this was the coolest scene. Musical chairs with rocking chairs. When it got to the last chair the other guy almost sat in it then Peron sharply turned the chair around and calmly sat in it himself. It was perfect
When I saw a production of this play, this song was sung by Peron and some other politicians playing a game of musical chairs, with Peron ending up as the winner. It was an awesome song and an awesome scene, though I understand why it might be difficult to replicate in a movie.
I love this song, but I kind of resent that they cut “The Lady’s Hot Potential” for this. Couldn’t they include both songs? I mean musicals are so long anyways, would it have been the worst thing to add five minutes more?
Love the music, but is anyone else as annoyed as I am with how incredibly Russian they sound, or at least not at all Argentine? This is beyond even the offensive nature of the caricature of an accent. This is just embarrassing and hurts my soul a little bit.

In the theater in Klagenfurt they play it the same way 😂😉
I saw a production like that too! It was a touring production that came to the Orpheum!
the movie was not as inspiring at the cast with Patti!!
@rwrogier "I would be exceptionally good for you."?
Did you even hear the album? It's 'surprisingly'.
God damn very much still relevant

I’m Hispanic and not all that offended
Sounds a bit Russian to me too. I just find it funny though.
