Crazy to think you can trade a 1/1 rookie of an unproven player on a rebuilding team for a rookie auto of a top 5 player of all-time! Seems like a steal to me!
Shai is the best player on that team with amazing upside, I’d rather take the Shai.

Agreed. But they both ultimately can’t win. Throw in Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar, Russell Wilson.. phew.. that’s a crowded league. One of them will see their prices explode this year but most will dip.

I thought Allen for Ruth was an no brainer. Ruth will be so in demand than Allen. Allen so boom or bust looking 10 years from now if he doesn't achieve anything. Babe Ruth will always be talked about the greatest baseball player ever and too an global icon.

The Allen trade was a good one. Just because there's so many Allen's out there and not that many Mahones. Plus, Mahomes already established his name in the books, while the others are still working on it.

I don't think I could of let go of the Brady , I guess it depends on what other Brady's you have hid back in the PC , but I get the MJ is also an iconic goat card with the wax potential it's not foolish or reckless just a hard trade for me personally.
NO WAY I would have given that Brady away! I cannot imagine my grandchildren living long enough to see another QB going to 10 Super Bowls!!!

I grew up in Burbank. I remember when Burbank sports cards was just a small local shop. I spend years of my youth in that shop lol
Are used to collect cards in the late 80s early 90s were everybody used to Beckett price guide. And nothing was graded. It’s just mind blowing to see what it has all become.

I have a Kobe pack and unfortunately the packs have been dropping. I think a $1k comp are the ones sealed by PSA. Pack alone the packs were right around $600

I believe Kareem charges $300 for his auto and you could get a decent looking card for around $1000. With that being said I think you still won that trade getting out of a certified SGA rookie. I cannot imagine paying much for that even with it being a 1/1. 👍🏼

That McDavid could be sneaky in a few years. He's on pace to rival the greats. If he can get over that hump and win his cup, that card could have elite value. Hard to hand over Brady but that return was solid considering.

I really like what you did with the Brady trade! I'm not a fan at all of Misscuts but Ruth is Ruth! The Pristine 10 Russell Wilson put it over I like the upside on that trade, and the Jordan Dunking go nuts is legendary in a 10!
I love Burbank Sports cards. They are the only LCS I buy from. Rob and Ryan are humble down to earth people. I have been to a few shops in the greater LA area and no one comes close to Burbank Sports Card!

Interesting trade. Honestly I would see if PSA would grade the Ruth a straight PSA 2, it is easier to sell. People don't like qualifiers.
I've just recently been watching a lot of videos on sports cards as investments. As well as watching videos of box breaks etc. It's something I want to get back into as I collected when I was younger. Any advice on how to get back into collecting?
Collecting in the late 90s and 2000s to me an on card no sticker auto is the only way to go other than a card personally signed that has special meaning to me. If Brady didn’t sign the card for me I would be 1000% satisfied with the trade.

That's funny....I got 38 of that Russell Wilson chrome in 9.5 and 7 in psa 10 and literally would sell them for half of comps lol got them all from packs when retail blasters were $20 in 2012
Your more of a investor than collector but it's cool ,helps you get people understand to always try to gain value on a trade if someone else is the one wanting what you got.

I opened a case of that prizm soccer back when I went to a Nationals show back in 2014 I really wish I didn't open it cause a sealed case is insane money now
I would never sell that brady, huge mistake in my opinion.
Me neither. To go from making a trade for arguably the best baseball player of all time to trading away arguably the best football player of all time doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Jabbar & Ruth for the Shai & Allen woulda done that as well anyday great trade investment. Brady I wouldn't have let go especially since he's still playing. Overall I really like your approach to trades its totally the same way I'd approach doing deals. Jim Brown rookie in a high grade would be another good investment to grab.

Interesting stuff I like these trade videos. Nothing close to your trades, but at the nationals I traded away my PSA9 Bowman Brady for a PSA8 Chrome Brady +$150 (both rookies). I like the upside of the Chrome. Personally you would have to pull that Brady 9.5/auto out of my cold dead hands but that's just me lol.
Good to see ya get the Brady moved. The Josh Allen is neat but now you can beginning working that Babe to a better grade.

From what i
have seen,that store overprices everything. For example, that 58 allstar Mantle you can easily get a psa 7 under $500. The 63 Mantle psa 4 you can find under $400. Card shops and card show in general. Are there to make money off you. The card/player is irreverent . Jeff,Burbanks and all the rest...are there to make money. They put a lil flash and dance on it...Before you buy anything,do your own research.

Although usually trading a big item for many small items is a no to me, I think the Brady trade was great.
Sealed wax almost never drops in value, but just how much will it go up (there’s always going to be less and less sealed of a product).
That Jordan BGS 10 looks really neat, if it was holographic or shiny that would be sick but still nice in that 10

Great trade for the Kareem for the 1/1. CANT believe he gave 2k for that.
Sometimes the math works on trades but if you take a step back, they make no sense. Some stuff is hot potato while others are a clear blue chip or top tier cards.

A Geoff Wilson video where he's not obsessing over Tua. Josh Allen seems like a good player, but he's not a can't miss player either. I can see him falling to middle of the pack real quick especially since he runs around so much. People are crazy obsessing over relatively new, unknown players instead of staples like Babe freaking Ruth.

You should of kept that Brady he played you. Sometimes it's not about the trade value it's about the overall aesthetic and look of the card. The lee alcindor was a good pick up though looked real crisp.

Hard to know for sure, but I think soccer and football will both be on the rise.
