Yes, you're right. She was lying horizontally under the floor, and a mirror simply reflected her face to be upside-down and vertical. At first I wasn't sure either, but the more I thought about it, the more the mirror thing made sense. I'm not sure if Copperfield actually invented that specific trick, but he performs the illusions real well.
Jeff O, ok I can understand the mirror reflecting her face but how are her feet reflected? I thought that they were fake feet but I can't explain how her feet responded to David tickling them?
They are fake feet. Her response is a matter of timing and his cues. The feet are like bobble head toys. Look at right foot. The toes are always curled up. And the movement of the feet is pretty static, ie, they move in the same way the whole time. The movement alone is enough to convince anyone watching once that they're real. Watch enough times and you see it.
