He's still not in the HoF and has recently passed away this year.

Frank Gore is a man, not an idol, and yet it's hard not to look at him and think his presence makes the world a little better. He sets an example for us all to strive for. Yeah, how can anyone hear this guy's story and not love him for the man he is. When Frank finally retires, he will have left everything he had on the field, no regrets, and certainly no shame. Frank Gore is a man, and I, for one, am damn glad he didn't give up.

Thank You NFL. There’s actually been several NFL players post retirement believe it or not to do 5ks, 13.1, and a full marathon. Tiki Barber did the New York Marathon. Jerry Rice both come to mind. Chicago will be my 6th marathon. Frank Gore is a hell of a player. I run 22-32 miles a week. I also lift weights

When I drafted him in fantasy football in 2011, I knew NOTHING about football. I was dragged in as an emergency fill-in. I printed out some ESPN rankings lists at positions and drafted Gore accordingly. My friend told me as I asked about him after the pick: "He's really good but he gets hurt a lot." That was before the 2011 season. Since the 2011 season, he has only missed 2 games in 2018. Dude's amazing. And yes, I won my league that year. Props to you, Frank Gore.
My favorite part was when Barbara from Shark Tank says to the Bills owner "who is that number 20? He's my size." 😁😂 In all seriousness though as a life long niners fan Frank Gore is my favorite running back ever. Such a hard working and humble guy who commands a ton of respect around the league. Early in his prime he took on almost the entire workload for the offense. Unfortunately, those were some bad 49ers teams. 2006 in particular was quite impressive. He had close to 140 yards from scrimmage a game! All of this while opposing defenses had no other objective than to stop him, and he faced a ton of 8 and 9 man fronts. It was so much fun to watch him methodically take his time at the line of scrimmage and squirt through small openings to daylight on the other end. The man is currently only 15 yards away from 20,000 career yards from scrimmage! Only behind the goat Jerry Rice, Emmett, and Walter. I know people say it took him a long time to achieve those numbers but his career longevity in itself should be a huge accomplishment in the modern time. Bruce Smith said it best, "there's a place for him in Canton" for sure!

In all seriousness though as a life long niners fan Frank Gore is my favorite running back ever. Such a hard working and humble guy who commands a ton of respect around the league. Early in his prime he took on almost the entire workload for the offense. Unfortunately, those were some bad 49ers teams. 2006 in particular was quite impressive. He had close to 140 yards from scrimmage a game! All of this while opposing defenses had no other objective than to stop him, and he faced a ton of 8 and 9 man fronts. It was so much fun to watch him methodically take his time at the line of scrimmage and squirt through small openings to daylight on the other end. The man is currently only 15 yards away from 20,000 career yards from scrimmage! Only behind the goat Jerry Rice, Emmett, and Walter. I know people say it took him a long time to achieve those numbers but his career longevity in itself should be a huge accomplishment in the modern time. Bruce Smith said it best, "there's a place for him in Canton" for sure!
This reminded me of my childhood watching gore like 8 yrs ago on the 49ers...just completely being afraid of my team’s defense going against that guy. 💪🏾❤️
