  • Hi Guys and welcome back to the channel. Just a short video this time, of me scrubbing in the new Pirelli Supercorsa sp v4 tyres. Before the big Ducati only day at Donington park, where I'll then give you a full run down of how good these tyres are on the track.
    So sit back, relax and come along for the ride!

    I’ve been running the Rosso Corsa 3s on the road and they’ve been absolutely fantastic 👍

    Great to see the Streetfighter back out on the roads Simon.
    I just fitted Michelin road 6 to the MTS 950s , only 300 miles in but certainly seem more planted than the Pirelli Scorpion trail which is what i was looking for , so happy camper 😊

      Cheers Martin, well I’ve just bought and fitted some road 6s to my multistrada so I need to probably test them, so video coming soon on that one 👍

      Will look forward to your thoughts on road 6 Simon.
      You made an interesting comment on "finding the right pressures" do you think this this relative to track & conditions of the day or also something to work out for the road as well ?
      I've always gone with manufacturers recommended but happy to change to search for more grip and feel 😊

      @@martinnewman1967 I’ve not really explored the tyre pressures much on the road, like you said the manufacturer guides normally work fine for my my riding. I was hoping to get a wet day to test the road 6 as they’re supposed to give more wet grip, so I may make teo videos unless it rains anytime soon.

    All the best to you brother. Cheers!

      Hi, thanks for the comment 👍if I remember rightly I got 2 track days out of the rear one of those days was a Silverstone circuit a great all rounder tyre for track and road. 🏍️💨💨💨

    What tire pressures do you suggest for twisty back roads at speed ?

    • @thatbikersimon
      @thatbikersimon  2 місяці тому

      I would recommend following the actual book specs. You shouldn’t need to alter the psi on the road

  • @drewcecato221
    @drewcecato221 Рік тому +2

    lol what pressure do you run to destroy a SP in literally one day 200hp motorcycle or not. they should last longer even if youre fast. the SC would make sense but not SP those actually last.

    • @thatbikersimon
      @thatbikersimon  Рік тому

      I genuinely run 31 psi front and 28 psi rear, I ran a Donington day 7 sessions and 3 sessions at Mallory and the right side of the tyre was bulging. Yes you could probably get a bit more but for peace of mind for me I would soon just put new rubber on.

    0:52 did you actually leave the tyre stick on? lol

    • @thatbikersimon
      @thatbikersimon  9 місяців тому

      It’s wasn’t actually. It’s was just some of the backing that was still on, but it came off after that ride lol.
