This is the Rozel, KS Tornado on May 18th, 2013, one of the most beautiful tornadoes ever witnessed in my 11 years of storm chasing.
Whoever was screaming at the woman, (the only person who could keep the camera still), needs to get a grip. You don't have to practically be in a tornado to get a good shot. If you are going to drag people along a dangerous journey, respect their opinions and their fears. You are not the only one with an important opinion.
Amen I was thinking the same.. I understand the excitement of it all but the screaming and name calling is a little much..
I am just a watcher, not a chaser. However, here is my opinion as a youtube viewer: Very good tornado, but with all arguing and cussing in the background, it detracts and lessens the enjoyment. Also, I realize the excitement factor and adrenaline get one into a hyper mode, but the camera work needs major improvement. The action is mostly where the tornado meets the ground, so all the footage of the middle of the funnel is basically useless. Otherwise, not totally bad.

I completely agree with StellarBlue. I enjoyed the video of the tornado up until about the 7 minute mark, then I just could not stand to listen anymore to the constant arguing and bickering of your colleagues. I'm sorry, but this is thumbs down for me.
If I were the woman in this video I wouldn’t get anywhere close to another tornado with these guys. Stay safe

It was great that you guys stopped to check on the people at the farm. Some chasers come across as almost sociopathic in the way that they don't seem to care what that "cool" tornado just did to people in its path.

What an amazing tornado! The orange sky, the "smoothness" of the funnel, the perfectly formed debris field. I would never have the courage to do what you do, but I sure do appreciate the wonder of it. So awesome!
Say, gentlemen, one is a vortex. Two or more are vortices. Oh, by the way, I have been through many tornadoes from Nebraska to Texas in my 66 years.

I love tornadoes and hope to be a future chaser some day, its like my calling. This was honesty one of the most symmetrical and beautiful tornadoes I've ever seen. The way the debris circled around the base of the tornado but didn't inflict with the beauty of it was magnificent. I've seen snippets of this tornado on "Tornado Chasers" but I've never seen the whole thing. You're an inspirational chaser. Keep up the amazing work! :-)
damn! i wish i was filming, would've done such a better job - so infuriating to watch when the guy just wont keep the camera still and focused on the tornado :@
To be fair. It's probably not easy to film in a moving car right next to a tornado
many other people can do it well, even some while driving are better than this

I'm sure they have much calmer, more controlled personalities than these two jokers (the girl seems ok though). And maybe some training and practice. I know I'd have trouble filming it though.
yeah the girl was pretty good, i personally found the guys irritating and it contributed to spoiling the footage really :/

There's a few moments where the guys seem to be faking concern for other humans with a subtext that they're glad to get footage of the destruction. It's a little sickening.

Are there any storm chasers left that can keep their cool AND hold the camera steady?
Only ones that can keep the cam steady but think about it,WHO TF WOULD KEEP THEIR COOL WHEN THEIR A MILE AWAY FROM A TORNADO
+Clashing with clans Many people keep their cool in crazy situations like this. But since ANYONE can chase a tornado, you get n00bs doing this stuff. I don't like panicking people - they make bad decisions and get people hurt.

Very photogenic tornado. Seems like it took forever from the first sight of a debris cloud on the ground to the funnel becoming fully visible. Good job!
What made it pretty was the sunset orange sky in the background making it a silhouette . You guys ruined it with your mouths tho
the odd thing about me is i hate loud noises and the thought of tornadoes but this footage amazes me!
The woman was the only one who could hold the camera still. You guys should respect each other’s opinions. This is a deadly force you are messing with. If someone is scared, or doesn’t think it’s a good idea, you need to acknowledge that and you need to stop whatever you are doing. The one guy was the only one who wanted to get closer, the woman and the other man wanted to get out of there. I hope that man realizes that if something went wrong, he could have killed them, and I hope he is more responsible with his choices next time.

6:48, that's a beautiful shot! I'm really scared of storms, even if it's just a bit of thunder, but these kind of videos make me a little bit less scared. The footage might have been a bit shaky at some points, but I love this.

This was fucking AWESOME! It takes some major guts to stand there and film one of these monsters, I would be too scared to even be that close.
It's a landspout tornado which are usually EF0 or harmless look at the slow rotation of the storm winds maybe 75-90 miles per hour EF1 at the most.
That is definitely not a land spout 😂
in future be sure to include the ground in the shot most of the time and just pan up the funnel every now and again, the image is mostly the middle of the funnel in midair, and one wants to know what's happening on the ground - partly to get a sense of scale - IMO

Looking just below sounds like others have a problem with something. If it's the same issue, maybe consider filtering out some of the voices.
For me these things are pure beauty, terror, awe, I think awe and wonder are the most like I feel. I hope you guys have that experience as well. Unbelievable power, mystery.

I have to add one more note, if you please. Please know that you do have blind listeners as part of the UA-cam community, so in the best interest of those who are listening to all the action, it would really help if you could invest in a windscreen for the mic. Covering it with your hand won'd help, either, because it will cover up the action. There was some really fine whistling and howling of the wind. Did you notice it?
Use a mic cover. It does wonders for the audio. And saves the viewers ears.
Because you saw that they didn't use mic covers, right? Sometimes mic covers aren't enough, especially in that situation. Next time before you make assumptions, use reasoning.

you know what guys .. come on this is a beautiful tornado and you did capture some great close up shots of it.. but my god seriously.. why do all the screaming and hollering ?? I had to turn down my volume . this was totally uncalled for. if your this dam scared and freaking out. they why go chase these things.. if you do this again and have plans on posting to youtube try keeping your mouth shut so people can hear the beauty of the winds from the tornado.. just saying.. I mean come on. all the hollering you all was doing was more nerve wrecking then the tornado that you all was following..

That tornado really was beautiful but it would've been better had the footage not been so shakey and a higher qaulity. I don't know what camera you were using but it's definitely inevitable to get shakey footage if you're using a cell phone or tablet to film granted I feel the footage could've still been a little better(aim not shakiness). I have a Canon I use for photography and filming and the stabilizer is impeccable. So maybe invest in better equipment? It would definitely help! :)
Also, if you're going to film more tornadoes, please consider not hanging out of the window or holding your phone outside the window. I really believe you can do so much better. Thank you very much.
