Very informative Jason, great stuff. I’m planning to start fitting my lc200 for touring. Included in this plan is the jmacx 3800kg alpha shocks package. Quick Q, why is a 2 inch lift is standard in that package? Can I opt for just a 1 inch lift in the front and 0 lift in the back, with everything fitted, bar works, tanks, drawers… everything. What’s the effect of this against the standard 2 inch lift. Thanks in advance matey!
when the vehicle gets re-rated does that also effect the GCM? my 75 never came without a GCM rating and i want to keep it that way unrated cars are becoming more hard to come by and i want to keep mine that way also have a 105 without GVM or GCM.
@@R00RAL I know that but I'm saying it has no other rating other than GVM so if I get a gvm upgrade does that give it the GCM and towing rating or is only the GVM rating touched? I technically already have a gvm upgrade with heavy duty leafs and air assist in the rear but it's still legally rated at 3100 I would like to pump that rating up but I don't want to give it the GCM and towing rating because without those that means I can use the legal maximum but if I get those ratings added on then I'm limited to those vehicle pacific ratings.
@@phalanx3803 A GVM Upgrade allows you to also increase your GCM. It is the point of doing it. Bare in mind what you load in your vehicle comes off your ball weight & or vice versa.. when towing.
@@R00RAL once again I know that but I'm saying the car has nothing else but gvm as far as towing is concerned I can go up the legal maximum of 9 tonnes combined taking out the land cruiser weight with my fat ass in it it comes in at 2900 leaving me with 6100 towing. Compare that with stock 100 cruser that comes a tow rating of 3500 even with maximum GVM that leave me what a GCM of 8000 even with a GVM upgrade it doesn't change the fact that beyond the tow ball there can be only 3500 so if I go through the legal proceeding to get a gvm upgrade does that also add on the tow rating or is that not touched.
@@phalanx3803 The tow ball rating itself stays the same. GVM upgrade allows both more vehicle weight such as luggage, food or water to be carried on board & or towing weight in the trailer. I hope that answers your question.

What’s involved with a GVM up grade on a Chev LTZ Premium Silverado 1500 …?..

The GCM is the vehicle & what ever your towing (Combined).
