Thanks for changing the title. I get why people were mad about the title. You can't hate something you never hear or saw. Hate is a strong word.. use it wisely. If you are genuinely interested in exploring BTS.. Armys are happy to be your guide. As armys, we welcome everyone with open mindset. 💜
Watch ON kinetic manifesto, dope, fire, DNA, idol, blood sweat tears, fake love, so what, airplane pt 2, standing next to you.... After u react to these will suggest more
@@Borallus OMG Yes, Not Today never get many reactions by youtubers, you HAVE to react to it Victor! It's the first song I've listened when I got into the BTS rabbit hole, and I immediately fell in love with their music thanks to it!
Victor, so glad you took the time to clear up the skin head statement. I knew as soon as you later referred to having no hair that’s what you had meant. BTS has always had a message of loving yourself and those around you without prejudice. Welcome to the purple rabbit hole. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 (You’ll learn what this mean when you watch Taylor Mari’s guide “A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7”.)
I like how genuine you seem. Thank you for taking the time to address all that stuff in the beginning. I also appreciate you reacting to our boys. Army will treat you well.
Martha Graham’s quote was the inspiration for the song: "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.” Black Swan tells the story of a dancer, an artist, who fears the death of their career: the moment when they can no longer perform on stage. The moment when music no longer touches BTS’s hearts or stirs their passion is the moment when the specter of that “first death” appears.
Jimin is a trained contemporary dancer and jhope started as a street dancer and joined BigHit as a dancer and then learned to rap. All seven members are amazing dancers even if it doesn't come easily to all of them. They do have a score of back-up dancers they'll use for larger numbers or when they do their solo songs within the BTS albums.
I think your cheeky cat is hilarious, please don't cut it out of your content! 😂 .. 46 yo Australian here. It's been a long time since I've seen such a genuine new person introduced to BTS, I liked your reaction for the realness it is, thank you. Re: BTS - As you journey you'll see just how talented the individual members all are, with different types of genres, vocals, dance, production, lyricism and performance in general. You'll see how beautiful they are as people too, influencing all to have peace and be happy with life, treat others well, don't hate, don't judge - with wonderful messages to love each other and love yourself. The effect they've had on the world (which you'll see from the guide) is like no other imo. Enjoy the ride 😊 oh and don't forget - keep the cat in the content please! 🐈
Really really recommend their songs: ON, DOPE, DNA, Blood sweat & tears, so what, wings, FIRE, and Standing next to you by Jungkook (which is their youngest member). Loved the video!
@JstStandingNextToYou ooh, I can do that. Jin- The Astronaut RM- Persona Suga- Shadow Jhope- Boy Meets What V- Stigma Jimin- Lie Jungkook- Euphoria Rap line- Ugh! and Cypher Vocal line- Illegal and The Truth Untold I stuck to their BTS albums rather than their solo albums or collabs, because those haven't come up yet.
Boy are you in for a ride! BTS started in 2013. There is a lot of content to enjoy! They have gone well beyond the usual Korean music industry standards. They are Global! Please continue these reactions! 💜
BTS tends to portray ideas and thoughts very well in their songs or videos. The complexity of most of his compositions beautifully expresses his creative and artistic choices. To do this, they use various devices and symbols, linking literary, psychological and social references. Repeating words is a deliberate literary device that puts emphasis on something and is called Epizeuxis. In this case, "bump, bump, bump" is the sound of the heartbeat and conveys the heightened sensation of anxiety; and, "jump, jump, jump" deepens the feeling of depression and dark thoughts, adding layers of complexity to the lyrics. In the case of "nah, nah, nah" and "yeah, yeah, yeah" the repetition makes the song accessible to BTS's multinational and multilingual audience where fans from diverse backgrounds can easily sing along, creating a sense of unity and connection. . This MV was filmed at the Los Angeles Theater. “Black Swan” is inspired by the psychological theories of Carl Jung and explores the concept of “Shadow” which addresses the darkest things that exist in all of us and that we hide or repress, for example, our fears and doubts or our prejudices. It is based on the following quote from dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, “a dancer dies twice - once when she stops dancing, and this first death is the most painful”. That's why it's relatable to Tchaikovsky's famous ballet, "Swan Lake", where there is a White Swan (good) and a Black Swan (evil). It is demonstrated throughout the video by the choreography and the colors of her black, white and gray clothes. This song has an essentially deep and personal meaning for BTS, as it refers to the fear of losing their passion for music. The video portrays the struggle within oneself between light and darkness, with beautiful visuals, powerful choreography and emotional vocals, adding depth to the narrative and representing the artists' internal conflicts and emotions. But the lyrics end with the hope that they will fight this feeling by looking deeper into themselves, understanding their feelings, knowing themselves better, and using those feelings as inspiration to make more music. 💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜
I'm a 52 yo army, and I've watched BTS since their debut, and I've grown and developed with them since 2013. You'll see their music has various genres and themes (you will be more awe, when you pay attention to the lyrics, and they made it since they were in their late teens or early 20s). And in these 11 years their music has never been outdated, you'll always enjoy and admire their work, even though the songs and MVs were made years ago.
Appreciate the title change. Army will appreciate everything you do to support the boys. They are all about positivity and acceptance so don't think we will take it the wrong.
Thanks for the reaction! Black Swan is actually really deep! It's about a creator's fear of losing their passion for art. In this instance, BTS wondering what it would feel like to no longer love music. It's based on a quote by Martha Graham, "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." These feelings are reflected in lyrics like "The heart does not beat anymore, when listening to music" "Oh that would be my first death I been always afraid of" "If this can no longer make me cry, If this can no longer make my heart flutter, Perhaps, this will be how I die once" "No song can reach me anymore, I cry out a silent cry". Black Swan is from Map of the Soul: 7, which released early 2020 right before Covid. In 2018 they'd suffered severe burnout and depression, and were so lost and done that they nearly disbanded. I personally feel like this album was them diving deeper into those emotions and their inner selves.
Thank you for sharing your honest reactions with us. With "Black Swan," BTS divulge their most harrowing shadow yet, one that any person who lives for making art faces: losing the passion for creating. "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." Martha Graham. This quote is at the root of the sentiments inlaid in "Black Swan." Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death. RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death." Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create. 💜You need to watch a live version of this song, or the dance practice video. Have a great day... Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for your reaction, one thing you should understand is that most of the BTS fans are NOT K-pop fans. To understand this you would have to dig deeper into the K-pop industry which is not a genre of music. By the way... I'm Polish 😅
Romanian Techno head is kinda nice and describes you well in a fun well. I like that title why not do a poll and of suggestions you might even come up with something even better? Hope that helps
Thank you for your reaction. I'm 58 year old Army from Scotland. I really enjoyed watching your genuine interest and appreciation for BTS. I think you'll really enjoy the journey learning about them because they don't write superficial songs like a lot of other artists. BTS songs always have a meaningful message - something I and many other armies have found helpful at difficult times in our lives. Oh and don't worry about pausing the video. We want to see your genuine reaction as you experience it. Looking forward to seeing your journey. 💜
'Shadow' is a term in Jungian Psychology a the whole album explores Jungian Psychology in relationship to their own lives along with the concept of 'Persona' and 'Ego' Black Swan is about their real fear the fear of losing their passion for their art of Song writing, Composing, Producing, Rapping, Singing, Dancing. They all played each other Shadow that represent their fear.
To add to that I want to point out that boy with luv, especially the music video represents their persona, the way they want to present them selves to the outside world. The persona is basically a mask that you would wear. It's not really you but how you want other people to see you. Which is why the video is so bubbly and colorful and obnoxiously happy lol. (you'll see the mask motif come up when/if you react to fake love. I have a feeling you'll like it as well, it's also pretty dark in tone ) And the shadow is what you shove deep down into your psyche. Things that you don't want to surface or things that you don't want to acknowledge. Black swan is one such thought; the fear of loosing their passion for their craft. And the lyrics does such a good job in visualizing that anxiety. It hits even harder when you know just how much music means to them. If you are willing to explore more of their work you'll find out that most of their music/music videos are connected one way or another. Even though they might seem polar opposites they are somehow connected. Which is something I personally love about BTS. Their earlier stuff also had a running fictional story line. I'm mentioning these things because I'm amazed at the work they put into their craft. Down to the tiniest little detail everything is thought out. The few exceptions being their English trilogy, that happened because of the pandemic and they wanted to do something to cheer us up
This is in a old 1930's theater in LA. BTS covers many genres as you will see. Rap, R and B EDM, Latin Pop, etc. their lyrics are always so good. some reactors make notes so they can comment later. Just a thought. Thank you for giving BTS a chance. The more you watch and read the lyrics I think they will work their way into your heart. If you liked this one you might like The Truth untold .
Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as you go through their discography and more. :) I'm probably not qualified enough to write a proper introduction on who these gentlemen are but basically BTS is a South-Korean group that has, no lie, the widest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you love and some you might enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. BTS are pionniers in some way and have a totally different story. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. They literally are the one who paved the way for Kpop artist out of Korea. To make it short, there are 3 rappers and 4 singers. Before debuting, two of them were underground rappers and another two of them were dancers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a lane of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. Plus, they have one of the strongest bond with their fans (called the BTS Army) and they just reciprocate all the love they receive from us and even more. Now, to give you important CURRENT informations : In 2022 BTS announced a break from group activities to focus on solo projects, promising to be back by 2025. Later on, we got to know that this break was also to perform their 18 months mandatory military service as South Korean citizens. One by one, they released solo stuff and one by one they started their military service. Jin (the oldest) went first and finished in June 2024. J-Hope (another member) finished in October 2024. At the moment, the others are still in the military and will be done in June 2025). Their solo works are amazing, they gave us wonderful music even as soloists and they broke records on records individually. But they also keep on repeating that they can't wait to get back to work TOGETHER. I think this break was necessary for them to take time and BREATH (because being BTS is exhausting) but I also think that they miss each other deeply as they have express multiple times. So, the contract being signed, neither us or them can wait for 2025 at this point !! That being said, I hope you react to more ! :D Including live stages please Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. One of the most complete (and amazingly made) guide is : "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" (by Taylor Mari). Hope you'll react to it ! In any case, enjoy the journey !!
OMG! I think this the first time the very first BTS song was Black Swan as far as i can tell though i only been an ARMY since 2019 and didn't really watch reactors until like a year or two after that. Thank you for the reaction! A little backstory to each member RM (he is the leader of the BTS think more like a sport captain than what western Music groups leader means. He started asan underground rapper Ranch Randa [i def spelt that wrong, I think, I'm sorry] and known for his lyricism. He has the most music and song credits of the group. He always puts his members before himself in important matters. [Example: he was the only one featured in the Remix of Old Town Road and was invited to perform it at the Grammys, but he brought all his members to perform with him.] He is rather clumsy yet a genius. He taught himself English by watching the sitcom FRIENDS. His birthday is September 12, 1994. His real name is Kim Namjoon. [Note: Korean names have family name/surname before given/first name, so westernized his name would be Namjoon Kim.] He is currently serving his mandatory military enlistment) Suggested Songs: Wildflower, Come Back to Me, Still Life Jin (he is the oldest of the group. In Korea, being the oldest comes with respect and authority. He doesn't use his hyung card [hyung means big brother yet only use by other men/boys there are similar for girls (oppa) to use and big sister(unni and noona)] he is big on joking around and going with the flow. He is a vocalist of the group and known to having a silver voice by critics. He actually joined the company as an actior as he is a theater major. He learned to sing and dance as a trainee. His birthday is December 4, 1992. His name is Kim Seokjin. [Second Note: Kim is the most common surname/family name in South Korea.] He completed his military enlistment in June 2024 and his first official solo album came out Nov 15) Suggested Songs: The Astronaut, Super Tuna, I'll Be There Suga (he is the main producer and rapper of the group. He's the second eldest after Jin. He was also an underground rapper named Gloss. He found the company by their hip hop competition and he was placed 2nd in it. He originally joined the company as a music producer and rapper as he didn't want to dance, but was basically tricked when BTS was converted from a hip hop rap group to a hip hop idol/vocal group. He is an amazing producer as he even won awards for songs he did outside BTS. And such an out of this world rapper. He seems distant and could on the surface, but he is a marshmallow especially with his members. He can be a savage respectfully with witty response. His stage name comes from basketball, shooting guard, which he loves to play. For his solo music he goes by Agust D. His birthday is March 9, 1993. His name is Min Yoongi. He is currently in military) Suggested Songs: Daechwita, Haeguem, Amygdala j-hope (the sunshine of the group! Also, he joined as a dancer who learned from RM and Suga how to rap. He has his own unique style when rapping. I believe somebody mentioned they the Rapline is as following: “Namjoon analyzes the world, Yoongi criticizes the world, and Hoseok visualizes the world.” I agree wholeheartedly with this statement whoever wrote this is amazing. Hobi is a ball of energy and an amazing dancer. He started dancing when he was young and was the youngest to join his hip hop dance crew: NEURON. He was known to being able to learn the complicated choreographies fastest of the BTS members and would guide the other members through the dances when needed. He did lives where he freestyle dances called Hope on the Street which is ironically his second album’s name. His birthday is February 18, 1994 and real name is Jung Hoseok. He finished his enlistment in October 2024, after eighteen months) Suggested Songs: on the street, MORE, NEURON Jimin (He is the vocalist and dancer of the group. A perfectionist with a quiet, reserved, and serious demeanor. He is also known for his smooth and elegant dance moves, and is considered one of the best dancers in BTS and K-pop. He is affectionate, especially with his members and usually the first to comfort them when they are down. He has a background of contemporary dancing and Korean traditional.dances and was a top student at Busan High School of Arts. His birthday is October 13, 1995. His name is Park Jimin. He is still in military service) Suggested Songs: Like Crazy, Set Me Free pt2, Who V (He is the baritone vocalist of the group. He is from a farming family and always knew he should be doing music. His parents told him to choose an instrument and he decided on the saxophone. He has an old spirit, jazz and r&b, he even learn whilst in BTS the violin [he stopped if I'm not mistaken] and the trumpet [pretty sure he continued playing it]. He actually acted in a k drama “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” and contributed the single "It's Definitely You" to its soundtrack. Jin and V sing the song. He has an unique perspective on life. His birthday is December 30, 1995; real name Kim Taehyung. He is still doing his mandatory service) Suggested Songs: Rainy Day, Blue, Slow Dancing Jungkook (He is the maknae of the group.aka the youngest. He was only 13 when he started training in the company. [That's another note: until last year (2023) South Korea had their own aging system and switched to international aging. Some parts of their society still go by the Korean aging which is you're considered 1 year old when you are born and on new year you gain a year. That doesn't mean Koreans don't celebrate birthdays at the time of birth, just that your year increases at New Years.] He was basically raised by the members, they come to his high school entrance and graduation celebrations. He said himself that he was basically a sponge that absorbed the other members’ personalities that blend together to form his own unique self. He is very close to the members that if something happens to them he'll be upset. He is sensitive about his fans too. His birthday is September 1, 1997 and his name is Jeon Jungkook. Still doing his military service at this time) Suggested Songs: Stabding Next to You, Still With You, My You I did 3 songs for each member Song Recommendations for the group: Tomorrow - Unfortunately, there's no music videos, but you can find English subs Life Goes On - there is a music video (actually 4 of them if I'm not mistaken) Young Forever - there is a music video Butterfly - there isn't exactly a music video though sort of is. Run - there is a music video and watch until the very end. Run BTS - there isn't a music video 2! 3! - no music video. First fan song. ON - watch either the original music video or the Manifesto one, both are awesome and should be watch IDOL - has 2 musuc videos, 1 has a featured artist in it Boy in Luv - has a music video Boy with Luv - has music video ANPANMAN - no music video Just One Day - has music video I think that's enough for now.
Thanks for reacting to Black Swan. 💜 It's about the inner fear of artists when/if they lose the drive for their art. This state is described as the first death by Martha Graham a famous ballet dancer. Inner fears, represented as shadows, is a part of their concept for album "Map Of The Soul 7" and this song is from that album. Its all about Persona, Shadow, and Ego ( here it means conquering/overcoming) based on Karl Jung's theory. Boy with Love is also from this album. So anytime you react to a song of this album keep this concept in mind.
Thanks for your comment I am a 70 year old army from usa boys all are doing there 11/2 service 2 are out but rest still have until June so all the new music is single artist but bts sing all different kind of music is love them they love army, and army love them
This is one of my favorite songs. Thanks for clearing the skinhead saying out..i knew it wasn't the bad thing when you said it. We ARMY'S are very protective torwards BTS...they are in their 12year and still getting hate, racism etc..on YT are much documentaires where you can see why we are so protective about them. I recommend to watch ON kinetic manifesto, Dyonisus, Idol, Fire, DNA, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Fake Love. Thank you for this reaction..stay happy and healthy lots of love from a Belgium Army💜💜
Welcome to your BTS journey. I recommend you look at the BTS guide to get to know who the members of the group are , you'll appreciate their skills even more. Some other mv's you can check out are Fire, Fake Love and Blood Sweat and tears
BTS break so many stereotypes they use colors other than black and white and they sing plus dance at the same time in live performances and concerts they open up about so many issues social, personal etc because kpop was fun vibes they do talk about I don't know but BTS is loud about it they do there own thing open up about various topics and become light for kpop now everyone wants what BTS have 😂 but would never
USA ARMY here! Thank you for reactions! I knew what you meant by those two comments before, maybe emotions are running high in some ARMY hearts right now because of the certain snake lady. Please know -we just love and respect BTS. I subscribed and I look forward to this journey together! OT7 💜
Hi Victor, thank you very much for reacting to Black Swan, it’s a fantastic song, an excellent mv too, filmed on location in the Los Angeles Theatre, a very beautiful building. I really look forward to more of your BTS reactions 🙏🌺💜🇿🇦🇿🇦
Thank you for your reaction. Black Swan is one of my favourite song of BTS because of the choreography and the meaning of the lyrics, it is very deep and dark! But it is normal that it's not your genre, but BTS has so many genre so I am sure you will find the one that you will like the most! Hoping for your next reaction. But I suggest you to start to one of their oldest song, because in this way you can see how much they have grown up in these 10 years. Like "No More Dreams", they were so young and was their debut song! It is beautiful follow their journey 😊
“Black Swan” focuses on the fear of losing your love for music. All of these fears, pressures, and doubts manifest in the shadows heard and seen in “Black Swan.” In the music video, Jimin dances alone, succumbing to shadows. He is the black swan, who agonizes. And there is a parallel between the ballerina who can no longer dance and the musician who loses inspiration. Black Swan is a song inspired by the Martha Graham quote: “A dancer dies twice; The first death is when you stop dancing, and that death is infinitely more painful.” BTS took this and applied it to the moment when an artist's inspiration leaves them, when they may no longer feel love and passion for their music. The industry can put a lot of pressure on the artist. The "creator" BTS's Bang Si-hyuk has always given them a lot of freedom to live their art, but fame brings a lot of pressure, from the company, fans, the media, etc. Fear that making music means no longer living art in a true way.
Hi, so nice to see you back. If you are up for another one, I would recommend "Not Today". Think it will be a song and MV you will like. Hope you enjoy and have a great day.💜
The song is also based on Martha Graham's article about artist, especially dancers, have to stop performing their art early and she considered that the first death. In addition, the memory of your previous artist life follows you like a shadow for the rest of your life.
I'd recommend BTS room libe festa 2021 because in that one video you will see how diverse BTS discography is. They have tried so many genres and the discography is really amazing.
Black Swan is a song about the fear of losing passion for their art. It's based on the quote of a famous dancer, Martha Graham, who once said: “a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful" One of my favourite MVs is 'I Need U' You could also react to live performances. Their 2021 Festa Live Room is a compilation of samples from mostly their B-sides from 2013-2021. It's great to see their range and talent!
I did avoid your "hater" video because it's common clickbait term. And thank you for explaining your terminology. We're happy to learn about you and your culture too. BTS is a positive space that many people escape to when the world feels too toxic. I hope they bring you the same joy that they give us. 💜
Look honestly 1:00 kpop “hater” is a strong term but I had it in a sense. It wasn’t the music or art I was opposed to diving into, it was the treatment of the artists by greedy adults and the demand to be absolutely perfect 100% of the time and starting them so young as well. It can get brutal and it took me a while to come around and realise BTS were different. Not just different, but AWARE of it, and doing their damn best to change it. And they have. Knowing that very early I dove right in without looking back. I’m very predominantly a metal head/80s rock fan but I found their music so different to everything I’ve heard, from musical arrangements, deep lyrics and really spicy adlibs that just make a track ✨🤌🏼👌 they have so much music you can easily find something that suits your tastes
I PURPLE YOU💜
Not this time of the year with ice, snow, frost and rain we had it all in the last 3 days it's cold but yes I'm normally bare footed at least in the house and in the summer often in the garden or walking on grass or sand but not in the local woods it's bit too dangerous as it's also military land so bullet shell casings are about and bramble oh and Vipers ( our only vernous snake)oh yes and plenty of deer scat. Can't do it on the moors either due to Vipers, Cow, Deer and sheep scat.
If you like techno and want to check a BTS music with that vibe, I recommend "Save Me" (there's a music video too and it was pretty much done in one take, which is really cool).
ARMY here since 2016. I appreciated your reaction. And what good advice, the grounding o self. So smart if you to mention it. All the best from Portugal. Borahae
If you want to know the 7 members, you can watch A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. ARMYs love watching reaction videos to BTS and we don't mind watching long videos. 💜
A dancer (black swan) dies twice: once when he/she stops dancing and the actual death. Same for a singer. First death is when he/she is no longer passionate…
Bonjour Victor 😊 Hope you re doing well It’s so refreshing to watch your genuinely reaction. It’s okay to not love every song. Their range of genre is insane( it’s why BTS is not reduced to K-pop) and you can find your favorites ( mine are Blue and Grey, save me , truth untold , make it right or Magic shop and zero o clock , those are more ballad songs, the very opposite of your tastes I think ) and ones which you don’t like so much . I m not a big fan of rap and they make me falling in love with some of their rap because their lyrics and their flow are so strong . They have song with only rap and I prefer when they mix vocals and rap . What I love the most is their chemistry , their brotherhood, their lyrics and the fact that they are great composers and writers . I’m a big fan of their dancing to. My favorite choreo is Danger, an old song of them but I love it a lot . They have more hard dancing like the Dyonisos of the melon music award 2019 or Run BTS on Busan but I love the sync in Danger . You have already a lot of suggestions so I stop here 😂 So enjoy your BTS journey , don’t mind offended people, some of us are sometimes a little bit overprotective . Just be free to speak your mind By the way I love that you are a cat lover, what are the names of your kitties ? Bonne journée, bon week end et à bientôt Translation: Have a good day, a nicely week end , see you soon
Welcome to the world of BTS 🤗Just in case, I'll warn you: the lyrics, the video, and the story of the song/video are very important. So if you're ready to dive in, ARMY will be happy to help you with this. Many people call it the "rabbit hole." 😄
We have young fans in the fandom and some are sensitive but real army will welcome you like myself. not everyone understood bts and they are always lump together as K POP BUT BTS IS A UNIQUE GROUP AND THEY HAVE SEVERAL GENRE WHICH TAKE THEM OUT OF THE KPOP REALM . MANY ARMYS STRUGGLE AND STILL FIGHTING TO OTHERS WHO COMPARE AND LUMB BTS BECAUSE THEY LACK UNDERSTANDING OF THEM. ALSO BTS. START FROM NOTHING TO LEGEND THEY ARE TODAY. THEY HAVE BEEN DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND STILL ARE. SO YES ARMY CAN BE SENSITIVE. BUT WE MEAN NO HARM. WE THANK EWHO GIVE THEM A LISTEN. YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE ALL THEIR SONG BUT IF YOU LISTEN TO THEIR CONTENT YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING YOU LIKE. THEY ALSO SING IN JAPANESE AND KOREAN MIXED WITH ENGLISH THEY REALLY ONLY HAVE 3 FULL ENGLISH SINGLE ( BUTTER, DYNAMITE, AND PERMISSION TO DANCE.) THESE WERE RELEASE TO CHEER ARMY UP AND THEMSELVES DURING THE PANDEMIC. BUT THEIR MOST POWERFUL SONGS. ARE MOSTLY IN KOREAN. LIKE TRUTH UNTOLD, BLACK SWAN, BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS. BTS ARE ARTIST WHO SING WITH CONCIOUS LYRICS TO HEAL AND HELP THEIR AUDIENCE ESPECIALLY ARMY BTS AND ARMY ARE LIKE FAMILY. BUT YOU HAVE A FEW WHO TAKE THINGS OUT OF CONTEXT. BECAUSE THEY ARE IMMATURE. SO PLEASE FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE. BTS IS ALL ABOUT POSITIVITY. WHEN YOU SEE THE PURPLE ARE IT MEANS WE LOVE YOU AND TRUST YOU BTS COLOR IS PURPLE. HANG IN THEIR AND ENJOY THE MUSIC.
Black Swan was my introduction to BTS and I fell in love with this group. I'm in my late 60's in the U.S. and became official ARMY member a few months after seeing this MV. I haven't gotten to see them live at all, as getting just one ticket to a concert is, as someone else put it, like Hunger Games! No Lie!!! They sell out stadiums over 4 nights in pre-sale and in less than an hour!! Anyway, Black Swan has to do with fear of losing their passion for their art (music, singing, rapping, writing, dancing, etc.). I'm a bit of an anomaly, I guess, because I don't listen to K-Pop, but I DO listen to BTS and support them as fully as I'm able to do so. Thank you for reacting to them. I hope you continue, and enjoy the journey!
you taking time at the beginning to both clear up misunderstandings, but also show respect and willingness to listen and learn, says a lot about you. as far as pausing the video all the time, it's no problem! :) pausing to share thoughts is much appreciated over forgetting half of it at the end or talking over the video and missing possibly important parts.
Hei! Bun venit in universul BTS. 💜
Really recommend there songs: permission to dance, fire, jumb, blood sweet and tears, standing next you (jk), seven (jk), who (jimin ), heart on the window (jin), arson (jhope), that that (suga )
Victor, I have enjoyed your commentary! A great place to start for BTS history is The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS by Rice Squad. The most complete history that is not 2 hours long. Have fun going down the rabbit hole! You wont regret it!
Taking the first few moments to address some of the concerns or misunderstandings from the previous video is first class, sir. I really liked the way you seemed to accept them for what they were, but also didn't take them personally and get that we can never make everyone happy in life or content creation. I really like your chill vibe (and your cat - mine also likes to remind me she is here at the most inconvenient moments) and look forward to more of your content - BTS or otherwise. Subscribed. Keep moving forward, you're doing great!
LOL, I heard your later comment about being bald and then I got it. Also, cats. I have them. You seem to have a broad spectrum of music processes and performance knowledge and you keep an open mind. That's refreshing. I have heard professional dancers say dancing barefoot is really difficult but you'll see some of these guys doing it a lot in dance practice videos. The solo dancer highlighted in this video had contemporary dance training before he signed. Popping and locking, too, but they all adapt as a group to every style of dance. The other standout to me on this song is the use of a traditional Korean stringed instrument. You can find that in a lot of their work, group and solo projects.
Hello! First, thank-you for changing the name of your channel! ARMY appreciates it. Second, BTS has more than 250+ songs in their discography. The songs span many genres of music: EDM, Rap, Ballad, etc. They have group songs and solos. I'm very certain you will find many songs that you really really like - and some not so much. You might check out: Not Today, On Kinetic Manifesto. Something to know ... many of the official MVs also have a video showing how they made it (Sketch) and also another video for Dance Practice. You can find these on their official UA-cam channel: BANGTANTV. Enjoy your journey. 💜
Victor, you can watch Dionysus! I think you could like this song 😊 There is no music video for this song but you can watch live performance. The best is for MMA 2019 ✨
BTS is the biggest group in the world and one of the most successful artists. The group consists of 7 members (including 3 rappers and 4 vocalists) from South Korea. 1. RM ( rapper, leader ) September 12, 1994 - 30 years old 2. JIN ( vocalist ) December 4, 1992 - 31 years old 3. SUGA/AGUSTD ( rapper) March 9, 1993 - 31 years old 4. J-HOPE ( rapper) February 18, 1994 - 30 years old 5. JIMIN ( vocalist ) October 13, 1995 - 29 years old 6. V ( vocalist ) December 30, 1995 - 28 years old 7. JUNGKOOK ( vocalist ) September 1, 1997 - 27 years old They collaborated with a lot of artists such as: Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Halsey, MAX, Lauv, Anderson .Paak, Becky G, Snoop Dogg, NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, Desiigner, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Juice WRLD, Wale, Warren G, Nicki Minaj, J.Cole, Little Simz, Steve Aoki, Jason Derulo, Kid LAROI, Central Cee, Erykah Badu, Muni Long, Lil Nas X, Charlie Puth, Usher, (+more) As a group BTS have a huge amount of songs 300+ (only 3 of their songs as a group are entirely in English). They are all songwriters and music producers, most of their work is very meaningful, so reading the lyrics is really important. They make music in a lot of different genres and styles (Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, EDM, Latin Pop, Ballad, ...+). Each of the members is very different, and all of them make their own solo stuff so depending on what kind of music you are interested in, you really have a lot to choose from. If you want to learn more about them, I highly recommend watching these videos, which I will link below: 1. Welcome to your BTS journey! ARMY will always guide anyone willing to explore into this world! I understand why ARMY would get upset with you using K-pop hater as a title because we know what the guys had to go through to get where they are today. They faced a lot of hate from the industry and other artists so ARMY tends to get protective. Thank you for being respectful towards our 7!
Good reaction!! I think you have to react to the MV shooting too, it's like a behind the scenes of the music video where they talks about the meaning of the songs. You can find them in their channel! Keep going❤
Welcome to BTS! luv your fresh reactions! ❤ For Rap: Suga- "Snooze" JHope- "More" RM- "Wildflower" Also "Cypher 3" or Ddaeng For the vocal line- "TRUTH UNTOLD" LIVE STAGE PERFORMANCE enjoy again luv your reactions😊 and YES as you said ..take your shoes off and walk in the grass 🤗👍 nature lover 🌲🍁🍂💜💖
BTS HAS MANY GENRES KEEP THAT IN MIND AND THEY DO HAVE DANCERS. BUT THEY ARE THE MAIN DANCERS EVEN WHEN THEY HAVE DANCERS. WHILE YOU ENJOY THEY MV WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THEI LIVE. ONCE AGAIN. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIKE ALL THEIR SONGS JUST KEEP TH E SUBTITLE ON SO YOU SEE WHAT THEY ARE SINGING ABOUT. BECAUSE THEIR WORDS ARE MORE EFFECTIVE.
Happy to have youz
Watch ON kinetic manifesto, dope, fire, DNA, idol, blood sweat tears, fake love, so what, airplane pt 2, standing next to you.... After u react to these will suggest more
not forget "not today"... 😊
@@Borallus OMG Yes, Not Today never get many reactions by youtubers, you HAVE to react to it Victor!
It's the first song I've listened when I got into the BTS rabbit hole, and I immediately fell in love with their music thanks to it!
Yes I was about to mention ON Kinetic Manifesto 👍🏻
solid suggestions👍
@@jcasa3646There are so many songs, all great. Actually too many to mention. Welcome to the Rabbit Hole and enjoy your journey 🫰🏻
Noted ✅️ I'll watch it !
Thanks
There are a few BTS intr's to watch. Look around
You should watch their live performances of either award shows or concerts. Trust me you'll be amazed by their performance like never before.
Will watch it eventually, thanks
I like how genuine you seem. Thank you for taking the time to address all that stuff in the beginning. I also appreciate you reacting to our boys. Army will treat you well.
Martha Graham’s quote was the inspiration for the song: "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.”
Black Swan tells the story of a dancer, an artist, who fears the death of their career: the moment when they can no longer perform on stage. The moment when music no longer touches BTS’s hearts or stirs their passion is the moment when the specter of that “first death” appears.
In didn't look much into the lyrics but it's nice to find this out , maybe on my second listen I'll catch more
@@VictorNightroadyou can go as deep as you like with BTS’s music. Almost all of BTS’s music has deep and meaningful lyrics and message.
Jimin is a trained contemporary dancer and jhope started as a street dancer and joined BigHit as a dancer and then learned to rap. All seven members are amazing dancers even if it doesn't come easily to all of them. They do have a score of back-up dancers they'll use for larger numbers or when they do their solo songs within the BTS albums.
the cat always causing menace in the background is so funny kkkkkkkkkkkk
Fellow Aussie and ARMY here. I’m 50 and I agree, so great to see someone so open to BTS.

V- Stigma
Jimin- Lie
Jungkook- Euphoria
Rap line- Ugh! and Cypher

Will do !

I didn't look too deep into it in my first listen but sounds very nice and complex. Thanks for sharing that
Welcome to the world of BTS 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Enjoy
I'm a 52 yo army, and I've watched BTS since their debut, and I've grown and developed with them since 2013. You'll see their music has various genres and themes (you will be more awe, when you pay attention to the lyrics, and they made it since they were in their late teens or early 20s). And in these 11 years their music has never been outdated, you'll always enjoy and admire their work, even though the songs and MVs were made years ago.
Ditto for On kinetic manifesto. Also Set Me Free by Jimin
thank you for clarifying those phrases, i appreciate it.
You are so welcome
Appreciate the title change. Army will appreciate everything you do to support the boys. They are all about positivity and acceptance so don't think we will take it the wrong.

So cool! Thanks for beeing partnof my journey ! I appreciate you !
70 here too! Greetings from Chicago!
RM sings, "If this can no longer resonate / No longer make my heart vibrate / Then this may be how I die my first death."
Once again, BTS affirm that despite their countless record-breaking accolades, the wealth they've amassed, and their ever-increasing fame, they are artists. What means most to them is the art - music, visuals, dances - that they create.
💜You need to watch a live version of this song, or the dance practice video.
Have a great day... Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺

Thanks for beeing here !
That's a good idea !
Thanks so much !
BTS cei mai talentați frumoși perfecți tare dor de ei ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
'Shadow' is a term in Jungian Psychology a the whole album explores Jungian Psychology in relationship to their own lives along with the concept of 'Persona' and 'Ego'
Black Swan is about their real fear the fear of losing their passion for their art of Song writing, Composing, Producing, Rapping, Singing, Dancing.
The few exceptions being their English trilogy, that happened because of the pandemic and they wanted to do something to cheer us up
Interesting! I've heard of Carl Jung before !
@@VictorNightroad Nice my BA degree in is Psychology.

Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as you go through their discography and more. :)
I'm probably not qualified enough to write a proper introduction on who these gentlemen are but basically BTS is a South-Korean group that has, no lie, the widest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs.
Now, to give you important CURRENT informations :
In 2022 BTS announced a break from group activities to focus on solo projects, promising to be back by 2025.
:D Including live stages please
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS.
Few others requested ! And I will! Thanks for sharing your thought also !
Thank you for the reaction. One of the members Jimin was the one doing all the solos and was also the shadow
OMG! I think this the first time the very first BTS song was Black Swan as far as i can tell though i only been an ARMY since 2019 and didn't really watch reactors until like a year or two after that.
Thank you for the reaction!
A little backstory to each member
RM (he is the leader of the BTS think more like a sport captain than what western Music groups leader means. [Note: Korean names have family name/surname before given/first name, so westernized his name would be Namjoon Kim.] He is currently serving his mandatory military enlistment)
Suggested Songs: Wildflower, Come Back to Me, Still Life
Jin (he is the oldest of the group. [Second Note: Kim is the most common surname/family name in South Korea.] He completed his military enlistment in June 2024 and his first official solo album came out Nov 15)
Suggested Songs: The Astronaut, Super Tuna, I'll Be There
Suga (he is the main producer and rapper of the group. He is currently in military)
Suggested Songs: Daechwita, Haeguem, Amygdala
j-hope (the sunshine of the group! He finished his enlistment in October 2024, after eighteen months)
Suggested Songs: on the street, MORE, NEURON
Jimin (He is the vocalist and dancer of the group. He is still in military service)
Suggested Songs: Like Crazy, Set Me Free pt2, Who
V (He is the baritone vocalist of the group. He is still doing his mandatory service)
Suggested Songs: Rainy Day, Blue, Slow Dancing
Jungkook (He is the maknae of the group.aka the youngest. Still doing his military service at this time)

@@VictorNightroad you're welcome
I'm really enjoying your BTS content. I also agree with your "socks off" conment.
Socks offfff
Black swan is a queen👸.Welcome to BTS universe, there is so much to dive in.😊😊💜💜
Thanks for reacting to Black Swan. 💜
It's about the inner fear of artists when/if they lose the drive for their art.
Thanks for your comment I am a 70 year old army from usa boys all are doing there 11/2 service 2 are out but rest still have until June so all the new music is single artist but bts sing all different kind of music is love them they love army, and army love them
Thanks 🍻
70 here too! Greetings from Chicago!
If you like techno, watch So What by BTS 👍
This. Live. 🎆✨️
Thanks for giving g good chance to ours boys, armys always welcome genuine people. 💜
Definitely recommend Dionysus, their live performance at MAMA in 2019

Thanks ! 😁😁😁
Thank you !
So happy to see you again!!! 💜 바라해! Please keep it up, so much good music in Kpop.
Thank you so much!!
Black Swan is a song inspired by the Martha Graham quote: “A dancer dies twice; The first death is when you stop dancing, and that death is infinitely more painful.”
BTS took this and applied it to the moment when an artist's inspiration leaves them, when they may no longer feel love and passion for their music.
The industry can put a lot of pressure on the artist. The "creator" BTS's Bang Si-hyuk has always given them a lot of freedom to live their art, but fame brings a lot of pressure, from the company, fans, the media, etc.
Fear that making music means no longer living art in a true way.
💜 thank you for your reaction
Thank you for reacting to BTS !
Hi, so nice to see you back. If you are up for another one, I would recommend "Not Today". Think it will be a song and MV you will like. Hope you enjoy and have a great day.💜
Added! Thanks
💜💜💜💜
Black Swan is a song about the fear of losing passion for their art. It's based on the quote of a famous dancer, Martha Graham, who once said: “a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful"
One of my favourite MVs is 'I Need U'
You could also react to live performances.
💜
Thank you 💜
You are so welcome
Thank you
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Any time! 😁😁😁
I PURPLE YOU💜
Thank you so much !
I love your reaction❤❤. I agree with you about the socks, I love being bare foot! Hello from UK.! 44 year old army❤❤
Thank you!! 😊
If you like techno and want to check a BTS music with that vibe, I recommend "Save Me" (there's a music video too and it was pretty much done in one take, which is really cool).
Yes,On Kinetic Manifesto
ARMY here since 2016. I appreciated your reaction.
And what good advice, the grounding o self. So smart if you to mention it.
All the best from Portugal.

If you want to know the 7 members, you can watch A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. ARMYs love watching reaction videos to BTS and we don't mind watching long videos. 💜
Most definitely
Nice1 , that's good to know as I like to talk alot haha
A dancer (black swan) dies twice: once when he/she stops dancing and the actual death. Same for a singer. First death is when he/she is no longer passionate…
Bonjour Victor 😊
Hope you re doing well
It’s so refreshing to watch your genuinely reaction.
You have already a lot of suggestions so I stop here 😂
So enjoy your BTS journey , don’t mind offended people, some of us are sometimes a little bit overprotective .
Just be free to speak your mind
By the way I love that you are a cat lover, what are the names of your kitties ?
Bonne journée, bon week end et à bientôt
Translation: Have a good day, a nicely week end , see you soon
Thanks so much ! The black one you've seen is called Magic and I have another ginger one called Weasley !
@@VictorNightroad 😂 fan of Harry Potter ? I think so
Have a nice week end
Welcome to the world of BTS 🤗Just in case, I'll warn you: the lyrics, the video, and the story of the song/video are very important. So if you're ready to dive in, ARMY will be happy to help you with this. Many people call it the "rabbit hole." 😄
Thanks for having me !
Thanks so much ! So far so good ! Let's gooo
you taking time at the beginning to both clear up misunderstandings, but also show respect and willingness to listen and learn, says a lot about you.
as far as pausing the video all the time, it's no problem! :) pausing to share thoughts is much appreciated over forgetting half of it at the end or talking over the video and missing possibly important parts.
Once you get to watch more of their videos, you will learn that BTS are so versatile that they can do different genres. 💜💜💜
thank you for reaction, greeting from poland
Thank you too! Welcome ! Greetings from Ireland
Hei! Bun venit in universul BTS. 💜
Heya ! Mersi mult ! 😁
Thanks for the info! And thanks for beeing here as partnof the journey
In the last scene the artist walks away from their stage.
welcome 💜 🇧🇷 we will treat u well
There is another Romanian reactor who reacts to bts and other k pop artists. Lorydanna Gr
On, Fire 🔥, airplane pt2, Spring day (+analysis), Not today, so what (live)💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
😁
Location is the Los Angeles Theater built in 1931. Amazing that it’s a film theater and a Charlie Chaplin film was its first show.
Wow that's so nice to find out ! The location looks so classy and mystic!
@ it’s beautiful, we were lucky to get a tour when we out to LA for Suga’s concert
BTS is the biggest group in the world and one of the most successful artists.
The group consists of 7 members (including 3 rappers and 4 vocalists) from South Korea.
They collaborated with a lot of artists such as: Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Halsey, MAX, Lauv, Anderson .Paak,
Becky G, Snoop Dogg, NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, Desiigner, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Juice WRLD,
Wale, Warren G, Nicki Minaj, J.Cole, Little Simz, Steve Aoki, Jason Derulo, Kid LAROI, Central Cee, Erykah Badu,
Muni Long, Lil Nas X, Charlie Puth, Usher, (+more)
As a group BTS have a huge amount of songs 300+
(only 3 of their songs as a group are entirely in English).
They are all songwriters and music producers,
most of their work is very meaningful, so reading the lyrics is really important.
They make music in a lot of different genres and styles (Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, EDM, Latin Pop, Ballad, ...+).
Each of the members is very different, and all of them make their own solo stuff
so depending on what kind of music you are interested in, you really have a lot to choose from.
If you want to learn more about them, I highly recommend watching these videos, which I will link below:

Can you please react to BTS Festa Live 2021 and BTS MMA 2019 🙏
Hello again friend! Heather from California here again! Very excited to watch your reactions. Have a great day!
Welcome back! Hope you gonna have a lovely weekend ! And thanks for being partnof my journey Heather !
Thanks for the reaction. Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole. Hope you will enjoy the journey 💜
Thank you!! 😊
Good reaction!! I think you have to react to the MV shooting too, it's like a behind the scenes of the music video where they talks about the meaning of the songs. You can find them in their channel! Keep going❤
