We did, and now the Taliban is using it
@@Houd_Vast you just made those 20 trillion in taxpayers' money flow through Afghanistan back into the back accounts of US corporations

An amerikan is asking Afghans about their country. Irony!
I agree, very ironic
She worked for the US embassy. Wow. Beautiful English ...
“We’re there allot of people at the airport?” Lol what the kind of question was that… did she not see for herself??
People here in the U.S. need help too. I’m all for helping the Afghans, I find their situation sad. But we have veterans & others who need help too.
💯💯 you never lied. And that’s how it should be. No racism, xenophobic shyt. It’s common sense.
uncle sam has all the time and money in the world to help the vets. The vets are not getting help because uncle sam does not care about them.
the fact is we could easily help everyone in the US. we NEED to tax billionaires fairly and pass laws to prevent the money from going into the military or police budget. It would actually cost us less to help people. ua-cam.com/video/kbEavDqA8iE/v-deo.html
WE REALLY NEED TO START DEMANDING THIS AND EDUCATING PEOPLE ON WHATS REALLY GOING ON. I can't imagine being so dumb that they support not taxing billionaires.
but what’s that got to do with them though? why can’t you direct that discontent to the politicians, who instead of using the hard earned money given to them in tax, enjoy lining their own pockets whilst civilians suffer. it’s very easy for you and other americans to direct ur hatred for the lack of social policy towards innocent civilians in a situation initiated by the same govt u live under. but i guess that’s why the us government wants; using others as scapegoats instead of actually listening to the ppl
The Afghanis should foot the bill in the future and the 1s in America. They owe us them uselessnppls.
Don’t depend on us please. Fight. Stay strong. Defend your country. Courage my friends.
We mostly lost the war bc they didn’t wanna foght
Good job Vice! Including the full name and face of people who have family in Afghanistan for the Taliban to use!
Genius
What a huge disgrace for our country!! These poor people should have never had to leave !
If u want freedom u have to fight for it , Afghan's didn't , they had paid army when the country was in war .... I feel bad for the ppl that had to leave but imo was not US or NATO business anymore .... They had 20 years to build a democracy .
The didn't have to.
• Taliban numbers 50-70k members
• the capital of Afghanistan has a population of about 3 million people.
If only 3% of those people in Kabul had picked up a rifle and fought for their freedom, the Taliban would have been crushed in no time.
But alas, it is much easier to mooch off someone else's sacrifices than to sacrifice yourself
Cowards
And how many thousands of fighting age male Afghans ran away expecting the USA to save them instead of fighting for their own country and their own freedom? Now we'll have to support them for years and years and try to teach them how to behave in a Western non-theocratic society.
My heart couldn’t make it through this whole video 😔😢 Praying for the innocent People in Afghanistan 🙏🏼 This breaks my heart to pieces, the children 😣..
They all become law abiding citizens.
@Tranquarious Jackson yeah you’re right we should’ve just left them all there and not saved anyone.

Why is no one wearing a mask? Seems counter productive to trying to evacuate them in a pandemic without masks
I have a feeling you'll be first in line for your 22nd vaccine
Young people who would fight the apartheid Taliban are evacuated which is a wrong strategy.
I’m not a religious man, but God bless these people. My heart especially goes out to the children who know the face of war and death. My heart breaks for the ones stuck in Afghanistan under talibán control.
State Department: We would love to have many refugees from Afghanistan come settle here in Iowa. I hope we can make that happen, like when we made room for Vietnamese refugees in the mid-70s. We are stronger with diversity and want more of it while hoping they will work here as well since our population skews older.
100 thousand huh? Mostly grown men? Well this can't possibly have negative consequences.
The Afghans refused to fight for their country and themselves, we can't do it forever.
The US invaded their country. Killed thousands of civilians.
@@danielcpt3819 We defended them for 20 years. We gave them billions in equipment and training. They have to want it.

You can’t want the troops to come home and then want the troops to stay and fight against the Taliban. You can’t have both.

A woman was a personal trainer
Thats not a reason to evacuate someone
Now, they come to America and are given full citizenship and refugee status. Simple really.😊😊😊😊

To see it from the perspective of Afghans who have been left, I can say they are a bunch of lucky people who made it to US and Europe.

Sure it was a mistake for the Americans to leave Afghanistan for you because you no longer get to live under the umbrella of comfort that the Americans provided, yet you and many like you weren't willing to stand up to the Taliban and sacrifice to provide that for yourselves. The American's mistake was thinking that the Afghans could eventually fight for a democratic, secure, and Taliban free Afganistan and maintain it on their own.

if a homeless, overweight person was approached by Jeff Bezos. He gets a brand new mansion, million-dollar custom gym, a personal chef, and anything he needs to get back on his feet and thrive. But he, instead, chooses to drink alcohol and destroy the mansion.
No one in their right mind will say that Jeff Bezos failed him. He failed himself, and he had no one to blame but himself for the end result.
So just how exactly did we "fail the Afghan people"?
They received
• 3 trillion dollars spent constructing their country
• thousands of American lives lost
• 20 years of time
What did they do with it? here are a few examples:
• brand new hospital in a village, they destroyed the medical equipment so they can sell the copper and gold wiring.
• a school for illiterate children, the town decided that it would be better used as a farm - they ended up putting their goats in the classrooms, who destroyed all the school items for the children.
• Afghan police coming to work every day "losing gear" - turns out they were selling it so they can buy drugs. The drug dealers? the fucking TALIBAN.
I spent 6 tours of combat in that country. I saw all those examples with my own eyes.
so no. we didn't fail the Afghan people. THE AFGHAN PEOPLE FAILED US.
