    Nice review. I bought same a month ago. So far so good. The only downside is the engine is noticably louder compared to my old bosch active line plus which is dead silent

    A hybrid reaction pro would have been enough for this trail😂

    I have the same bike in liquid red,i immediately changed the wheels to DT swiss fr 541 rims with hope hubs,and got rid of the rubbish forks,and replaced them with 160 mm rockshox domains,i now have a monster of a bike!
    It annoys me,even on a high spec bike,manufacturers put on crappy wheels,so ive added another £1000 worth of kit,to get it how i want it,and im really pleased with it,it spends most of its time in wales UK and ive tested battery endurance in eco mode,ive got 55 miles out of the battery in eco mode till it went flat
    Overall,a great bike and the kiox system is good too as i use komoot on the bike screen for navigation

    Great review, thanks. I had been told of quality problems with cube's, though not seeing that reflected recently on youtube. Mine should be arriving next week. Got from MTB Monster for around £3.7k. As soon as I get it, will be going tubeless with Nukeproof inserts. So far only negatives on paper, for me looks to be the BOSCH compatibility with the likes of Garmin ecosystem and enabling lights to be powered by the bike. I may be back for an update, or post a review.

      Thanks for the feedback. This is by far the best Cube we have tested so far - from handling through to build quality and of course value for money.

    With the smart system, please bare in mind that if you're connected to your smartphone, the battery will noticeably drain significantly faster.

    Thanks for this review I'm looking at getting a full suspension e bike and keep coming back to this particular model, it does seem to tick all the boxes for me but one thing I want to ask is can you still use it as a normal bike should the battery go flat mid ride? Probably a bit of a silly question but I've seen lots of comments elsewhere with a strong emphasis on battery life and it being pretty good. Thanks

    Hi. Great review. I see you testing a large frame. Can I ask what height you are ? I am 1.81 and I the market for one and wonder whether a large may be slightly too small

      XL will be too big.

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  Рік тому +4

      Well, they're German...
      But to be honest, we're yet to have any issues with one, from Gen 3, to Gen 4, and now the Smart System era. And even if we did, no doubt their rock solid global support would spring into action. They're a global behemoth of manufacturing, but they moved into e-bikes about a decade ago, as they know EVs are the future. And bikes are a big part of that. They're not rushing anything in terms of production, so overall, reliability should be excellent.

      Travel/Geo/Build kit. But the same Bosch System. Basically it's a longer travel and more aggressive build, so better suited to riders wanting more performance on chunkier terrain. We haven't tested one though so can't really comment more than that.

    Great review 😃 One question, I am 193cm tall and weigh 110kg, do you think this model will fit me in XL size

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  11 місяців тому

      Most likely but you'd be best visiting your local Cube dealer to size up.

    • @theonlymadmac4771
      @theonlymadmac4771 6 місяців тому

      I am 193 cm tall and weigh 93 kg, no prob on this bike with XL frame. I have ridden with a lot of luggage, so the complete load might have been 110 kg, again no problem.

      I'm 1,96 and 114 on a XL. The only change I made was a wider bar (mine came with a 760 - I prefer 790 or 800) and I rolled the bar a bit forward. Perfect fit!

      Hi What's max Speed Range,??? Thanks !

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  10 місяців тому

      This is a three part question!@@itsmedanifilth. The maximum speed is whatever you're happy to let it get to on a downhill. In terms of pedal assistance, the support is dialled back above 25kmh in most parts of the world, or 32kmh in NZ and North America.
      For range, that will be determined by mode use, terrain and rider size. You can expect to easily get 2.5hrs use on the highest output on hilly terrain, but you coul also get an all day ride by using lower output modes - you camn use the Bosch App to customise the settings to attain the range you want/need.

      160 is longer suspension travel and only 27.5 ... focused more on hard trails and park
      140 has (except the s geometry), 29 inch wheels and "only" 150mm suspension travel (one example, excluding other parts)

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  8 місяців тому

      A little more easily than expected - bear in mind it's a trail casing. Interestingly - we only noticed it on the shoot. It held air.

    Im torn between this bike or a Giant trance and the Cannondale moterra neo 3. Any help on a decision would b welcome 😁 thanx guys.

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  10 місяців тому +4

      The big deciding factor here is the thing that's hardest to change - the motor. The Cube's Smart System Performance CX motor is the leader for the Cube and Cannondale. The Cannondale has slightly more progressive geo but... the the Cube proved to be an excellent trail eMTB.

    Could this bike also work as a cross-country and commuter? Looking for an all-rounder, but dont know if the hardtail version would be a better option. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi @dailyboy01 - there are two schools of thought on that. One is that you increase your maintenance using a bike for so many things. But the other is that a full-suspension trail eMTB is still an EV, right? The level of assistance is the same and with the lockout the efficiency is there, and this is a prime example of buying for the more extreme use - mountain biking. However, Cube do have some 120mm travel models as well which could be a better fit.

    • @dajoda79
      @dajoda79 10 місяців тому +1

      Excellent. Thanks for the reply! Think I'll opt for the Cube Reaction Race hardtail 750 eMBT as part of my concern was the additional maintenance of the full sus. I can still throw the hardtail about at the weekend as well as ride with the kids. Great video incidentally. Thanks again
