I absolutely loved the way you depicted your trip. I for one am a map guy and this hit a home run with me .

Great job on the video montage! Hopefully you stopped at Mt. Mitchell, highest point east of Mississippi River. I have traveled these roads many times since 2008, from Maine. In 2022 retired and moved to Asheville NC. Now I ride the Great Smokies and Blue Ridge Mtns 3-4 times a week. IMHO best two roads are Cherohala Skyway and NC 181 north of Marion. TOD is overrated.

TOD was fun and I really enjoyed the curves. I was not out for time just the technical enjoyment.
There are a number of other roads that I will be heading out on this year. I would love to do the Blue Ridge again....preferably without the rain.

I'm rolling through the at the end of the month. I'm headed to Nashville for a concert. And then done riding down south with my son. You bet that will be posted on here. 😁

Hi, did you upload the video to an editing program? Did you have to change the video format to an MP4? If so, how? I'm planning a road trip with my husband and would like to use Relive tracking. Thank you

Each segment of the trip was a separate Relive activity that I downloaded as an MP4. I then added them to a video editor that allowed me to add other images and sound. The sounds were all public domain clips. I then exported it as an MP4 and loaded here.

      @@brian_raymond thanks, got it

@@elbariveraantesdequememuer4650 the one thing I ran into was hoping that downloading my Google timeline for a day would work with Relive. Sadly, those gpx files do not contain timeframes, therefore Relive is unable to use them. I used a Garmin InReach to handle the GPS tracking.

    Hi Brian,
First off, man this is an amazing video! I’ve watched it a few times now and I’m planning my own trip to the tail of the dragon for next summer.
Would you by chance have a synopsis of your route the blue ridge pkwy to deals gap? I’m gonna be riding from Pittsburgh (a little west from where you started). But google maps keeps sending me to the interstates (64, 77, 81, and 40).

Sorry about the delay. Thanks for the complements on the video.
As for a synopsis, there are no interstates between Cherokee, NC, the southern most point of the Blue Ridge, to Deals Gap. I actually spent a few days in Robbinsville, NC, the rode up to Deals Gap from there.
      Good luck on your trip!

We had more fun riding all the side roads that branch off the blueridge then the blueridge itself, which is quite boring after a bit.
