@@nophacetech last time i see on lenovo blog webpage ... the SteamOS only comes with z2go 16gb ram and 512gb storage at 499$ suddenly for you to say otherwise on lenovo's display pamphlet ... its kinda confusing lol
This kind of makes me wonder since Steam partners with Lenovo on the handheld side, will Steam be trying to move on the “Deckard”? It’s fun to see all these new things coming out
I had a steam deck, sold it to get the legion then sold that to get the ally and I just really miss my steam deck. I was going to buy it again but hearing that this will be steam OS ….. yeah baby!!!!
I'll be honest I was thinking about buying one if it would have come in white instead of the block. And I heard that you could put the steam OS on the Windows one if you wanted to but I'm not going to mess with it right now. Especially when you look at the performance it's really not much different than what I have.
@nophacetech yeah true but the other thing I know a lot of times companies go by how many units sold with the OS on it and if I buy the windows they would see that the windows sold more you know what I'm saying I definitely am trying to vote with my wallet and show them I would rather have steam OS the windows
Legion Go S Steam OS version just using RDNA2 GPU & Zen 3 CPU, not the latest RDNA3.5 & ZEN 5 inside Legion Go 2. I will choose Legion Go 2 with Bazzite OS anydays 👍
Maybe it's like this. Z2 Go/512/16 - $499 Z2 Go/1TB/32 - $729 Z1E/512/16 - $699 Z1E/1TB/32 - $829 Not sure if it makes sense. Z1E is a lot more powerful than the Z2 Go.
Dang yeah, the Legion Go with the Z1 Extreme might be the move. Not like the new one has a bigger battery or a nice OLED screen or anything. The only thing is not having the option for more than 16gb ram.
Could this page help answer questions such as if purchasing the legion go S models either windows or steamos version, can the legion go controllers (first gen or second gen) be usable by legion go s model as well. Personal preference of owning the light weight S model but still wanted to purchase controllers separately so that in any case there is the option to play with the detachable controllers and just docking the legion s on table/surface. I also found out that Lenovo is offering Lenovo Legion Go Charging Connector with Battery for Controllers on the official website, will this be available when legion go s model releases? Thanks for anyone helping to contribute, hope this is possible.
I'm not sure how to explain this but could i possibly play RS vietnam 2 on this device or will it be unplayable due to the steam OS. I think you could play on the regular legion go and ROG handheld since they don't have the steam OS. not sure how to explain again sorry.
If it doesn't play on the Steam Deck due to the Linux OS, you still won't be able to play it on the Legion Go's SteamOS version-you would need Windows.
@nophacetech debating if I should get the regular legion go or maybe the get the OS one. Don't get me wrong I love my steam deck but again I'm limited what games I could play with the anti cheat. Luckily I can play squad somewhat decent lol.
It’s funny that the moment we start receiving hands on previews of this device, lossless scaling 3.0 comes out with improved performance & ability to choose any level of frame gen that you desire, including 10x frame gen & even 20x frame gen. Of course steamOS/Linux cannot run lossless scaling. The chips are rebranded not new & you don’t have to speculate. They cannot sell that steamOS device for $500 with 32 gigs of RAM. It’s a literal impossibility. So it’s 16 gigs no frame gen & no faster chip. It’s a suckers bet to buy that device. It’s a trap.
That's right and with that new update with lossless 3.0 not PS4 emulation is amped up now it's hitting 1080 at 60fps + so that's going to make everything work smooth and look great on these new devices coming out
but not on SteamOS/Linux b/c lossless scaling doesn’t work on that OS. No universal frame gen app works on it. lool. Some games have frame gen tech built into the infrastructure of their games. Coded right in there by the devs. Mostly, it’s any game ported to pc by Sony. Those are the only games where you can utilize frame gen on SteamOS.
@@edwardlashley3572 yeah I don't use it much but I was thinking ended up testing it out on the PS4 emulation with the game bloodborne And that's where I got the higher FPS and it working on 1080p which was awesome And I don't use steam OS and all that much I mean I just have PC games and adjust all of that extra stuff in game settings and AMD app settings

april steamos can use all handheld, in 2025
Legion go s на steam os будет так же в версии процессора Z1 Extreme, вот это будет отличный вариант
Maybe it's like this.
Z2 Go/512/16 - $499
Z2 Go/1TB/32 - $729
Z1E/512/16 - $699
Z1E/1TB/32 - $829
Not sure if it makes sense. Z1E is a lot more powerful than the Z2 Go.
Steam verified games run better on steam OS than it won't be for your handhelds. That's a fact. better optimization.
Waiting for the legion go 2 specs, waiting to see if I would jump the upgrade from my steamdeck OLED
As long as they release one with steam os am definitely getting a legion go 2
Z2 extreme rDNA 3.5 gpu
i dont see these portable handhelds going above 100wh batteries if they do they wont be allowed on airplanes.
idk if buy this or the legion go 1 for 570 usd

Not very convinced about the z2 chips. Was hoping some improvements. Any info on rog ally x 2 Orr rog ally 2
Are they gonna have a legion go 2 with steam os or just windows?
We don't know yet, we don't ecen know the price of the Go 2 at this point, only the Go S.
They currently only showed an early version running windows nothing said about a SteamOS one.
So the steam os dont have windows?
huh?

What form factor ssd will they run with? 2280?
it comes installed with a short one like in the steam deck but they said you can install a full length regular one!
SteamOS version is violet, not black. It's subtle that's why it fools everyone.
Yeah, I think you’re right, but it looks basically like a black version.
This is the one I would have wanted but the LCD is a deal breaker. Gotta throw an OLED in there guys come on.
Legion Go 2 will have an 1600p 144Hz VRR OLED Display but that's gonna Expensive AF.

no OLED, no thanks
Not having a OLED will not stop people from buying it
They gotta keep some features held back so they can release a new version next year. Hahaha.
Z2 is better than z1 extreme
we will have to wait to see how the next gen chips stack up when people get them and can do testing.
