Very enjoyable video, many thanks! It took two years for me to get this watch the way I wanted it and everything is made specific. I can only apologise about shipping costs, we find DHL the most cost effective and reliable but at the minute we are subsidising shipping due to the fuel surcharges applied.
Bought the TS about a year ago. Love it. Perfect size. Good movement and has become my daily driver. Rate them super high!! Great communication with Paul Scurfield as well. I thought about sending you mine,Jodi, but the shipping cost from canada is ridiculous 😮
Just wanted to say thank you. I bought the San Martin 1950s rolex style diver from your video about 2 years and have worn it 24/7 for over a year. Stunning piece, absolutely beautiful, catches the light so well and still looks new!
I’ve had a D1 200m for years I absolutely love it , the customer service from Paul is excellent as is the watch, these really are excellent value for money, I’m thinking of picking up one of the new Top Side Crew models that are out later this month.
One of the nicest watches I've seen you review. The honeycomb dial is awesome. It's not too cluttered either and very clear. The bezel maybe could be slightly wider with a 1mm smaller dial for my diver ocd liking. Case is great and varied in design and texture finishes. The minute hand maybe could be beefier but it's not a disaster by any stretch. Knurling on the bezel is acceptable, seeing as its a hybrid diver / everyday. Turned down lugs are sublime, so can just see the comfort. Bracelet is good and well finished. Clasp looks quality too. Overall a 8/10 for me, really like it.
I love my Scurfa Diver 1. Solid piece, great daily. Love the case on this treasure seeker, would love to see that with a different dial/hand sets. Keep up the good work Scurfa (and Jody!)
I have the yellow dial, on a yellow fkm strap. It's a real eye-catcher. After having it for a while I just had to get the D1-500 quartz with light blue dial. Awesome watches and set to stay with me in my collection. Great that you've given a worthy company an added boost 😁
Thanks for the review Jody. I've had a D1 titanium proto dial for about 4 months, a bloody good watch for sure, well made and keeps excellent time. The postage costs are definitely high but less than 400 Aussie bucks delivered is great I reckon.
I think the wait for this watch is well worth it. l have been looking for a watch with all these features and will be ordering a similar one when it becomes available.
I have a black dial treasure sealer and it is my pick as a daily wearer. Great watch and great quality. The rubber strap is one of the most comfortable I’ve tried
Nice review. I saw a blue Diver One no date on eBay Germany a couple of years ago and fell in love. I missed that one and Scurfa were sold out. I had to wait for a new batch and it was worth the wait! The bezel, the dial, the hands, the drilled lugs and oh boy the lume. Pin and collar not so much but you only set that once. And legit 500m and helium escape valve. I’m happy and one day I might even go diving……. Cheers.
Nice review Jody, I was wondering about this watch. By coincidence I have my MS18 in rotation today as I watched this and I would have liked a few things carried over to this watch. A bezel with fantastic grip as well as an insert with minute markers all the way around, a nicer domed crystal and some wider more prominent hands as you mentioned. I'm glad the BGW9 killer lume application is still present.
If Just got my Scurfa Topsider. This is one find watch. I love the domed crystal. That’s why I purchased it. I also just purchased the orange Treasure Seeker diver from Paul, however I originally wanted the Omega Seamaster Orange because of its dome but these Scurfa’s will take care of that itch for a while as I just purchased an Omega Speedmaster. Keep up the good work Jody. You’re the best, and only, 😉 Aussie I know.
Jody, thanks for the introduction to this watch brand! The Orange and yellow are cool but I love the white dial version which is out of stock but almost perfectly fits my search for s different white dial diver. I would love it more at 40mm but 41 is fine. Thanks again mate!
Scurfa has been on my radar for a while and now they do mechanical watches I’ve had one on the shopping basket for a while. I really, really love the case design on this one but the only thing holding me back is that hexagonal pattern on the dial and, mostly, the branding - font and printing - they need a logo or another font. Yellow all the way!
Seems like a good seed in the next edition of LumeWars. I have an older (quartz) Scurfa that I picked up hears back - it's a great-fitting watch. I'm delighted that they didn't do an HEV.
Love Scurfa, and have two in my collection. - Bullet proof watches. Re shipping I sent sold a watch to a guy in Hong Kong recently, £69 including insurance worth £1300.. 😮
Great video as usual my friend. A beautiful piece, but that butterfly clasp YUK! I recently purchased a JDM Seiko divers and had to pay £44.50 international shipping.
Apologies, I thought I saw a butterfly clasp. No. The milled clasp is great but could do with more micro adjustment. Yes, these international charges are getting worse. But if you want the watch you have to pay ☹️.
I have a Seestern and an Islander and I spent my life in machine shops, and although very different watches, I was thinking the other day the cases look like they came out of the same factory.
Regrettably, I purchased the Scurfa Men's Top Side Crew Stainless Steel Turquoise Dial. The Scurfa Top Side Crew Watch is junk. I held it in my hand for less than 15 seconds before I emailed Scurfa asking for their return address. I have bands that weigh more than the Scrufa Top Side Crew watch. It looks and feels like a toy watch. I recommend a Swatch watch over the Scrufa Top Side Crew watch. I just want to save you the headache of my mistake. Now I have to pay $40 to return a crappy $285 watch back to England.
Lovely watch, managed to pickup one of their limited editions this year. With the black plastic box you were on the right tracks - they are the same as the boxes used to machine parts to the oil rigs (where Paul works).
Great review, nice watch, I agree orange is a great colour for a dive watch, I have an orange Seiko 5 SRPD59K1. Jody have you looked at the UK watch brand NITE? I have been looking at them for a while because they look really nice and have trinium, like the Alpha in green. Would you do a review of one?
Can we start seeing dive watches in situ? Many divers look great at the desk, but how are they at the beach? In the water? Snorkeling/diving? On a HALO jump into downtown Sydney?
Looking at Crown specs, Diver One has 7mm screw down crown with 4 gaskets and the D1 logo. Treasure seeker only has 7mm regulator style crown with deep etched TS logo. TS face does not say "DIVER".
Nearly bought a Diver One but talked myself out of it (way too many divers!). This is really nice though and seen as I live in the UK, shipping would not be a problem for once. 😄
The website explains the packaging - “Watch supplied in our German manufactured twist box the same type of box used to supply a range of spare parts to the diving and offshore industry only made on a larger scale for Scurfa Watches”
Thanks Jody for a good couple of years! Really enjoyed the content you have consistently put out. Unfortunately I have sadly fallen out of love with watch collecting. Cheers for everything!
Coincidentally I got a Diver-1 this week. After Liz fixed the British economy the dollar was so strong it was a great deal on a watch I've been looking at for a couple of years. An honest tool watch at an honest price. Huzzah! Cheers from sunny Florida!
This is a brand that always seems to come very close to what I like, but just falls short due to a single design element. On the Diver 1, it's the clown proportions of the hand set and on the Treasure Seeker, it's the bulge in the case at 9 position. I really like the dial on this watch though.
Diver One are designed for ... diving. Those large lumed hands make for an easy read under water. Sometimes watches are designed for function rather than style.
Hello watch experts, maybe one of you has the time to give me some advice: Three bad watches but offered with a big discount, I know they are cheaply made, but the deals are cheap too, is any of them a good deal at that price or are they still a waste of money? Boccia Royce 3590-01 - titanium case, sapphire crystal - € 40 Frederic Graff Makalu FBV-2520 - € 24 Frederic Graff Silver Monch FBC-B004S - sapphire crystal - € 45 Thanks for your advice!
Serious Doxa vibes. Sub 200 look with Sub 300T capability 👍. I might have to check out one of the hardcore Scurfa’s for work….or should I just get a Casio Royal😉
There used to be a dive shop in Charing Cross road, thats the only other place I've ever seen these. As far as I remember they were quartz then. It reminds me a little of the Aquaracer but better looking. Hows the hols?
Just received my Scurfa quartz 500m (in orange - I believe I got the last one) and said yellow packaged box is sitting in front of me waiting to be unwrapped.
Hahaha, while other reviewers complain about every superfluous piece of plastic ending up as microplastic waste in the oceans, you celebrate peeling them off! 😆Nice watch, the minute and second hand are a touch short. I do like the case shape, the honeycomp pattern on the dial and the bezel design.
Now that I've changed the horrible two tone bezel insert on my orange Samurai for a ceramic black one I don't feel the lust for any other orange watches now.
Very enjoyable video, many thanks! It took two years for me to get this watch the way I wanted it and everything is made specific. 👏 good on you. Love my diver one and looking forward to my next Scurfa, can't wait to see what's up next
Just received my OG Diver-1 this week. I must've gotten one of the last ones. Thank you for a great watch. It is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for watching Mr Scurfa! Nice watch.
At last a Paul Scurfa watch, he lives just up the road from me in Sunderland, a true 'in house' company! Great watches!
I’ve got a D1 titanium and I bloody love it! Easily my favourite diver!
Bought the TS about a year ago. Love it. Perfect size. Good movement and has become my daily driver. Rate them super high!! Great communication with Paul Scurfield as well. I thought about sending you mine,Jodi, but the shipping cost from canada is ridiculous 😮

Love Scufa Divers. The titanium Diver Ones are exceptional

I really like the “hydra hat blue” nice looking watch.
I'm a sucker for an orange dial and this one doesn't disappoint so great selection Josh! Great review Jody 👍
Thanks mate!
I have the D1-titanium blue quartz. Love it. And I loved Scurfas custom service…which is the wife I believe.
I’m surprised! I’ve never come across this brand before - thanks for putting it on my radar Jody!

I have a D1 in titanium. It’s fantastic!
I'd love to see an episode on factories!
That profile reminds me of the light catcher case from Christopher Ward!
I love this piece. Why do I think "Certina" when I look at it? Maybe it's the bracelet, I don't know! Great watch

Scurfa! My yellow D1 is one of my most worn watches and I just picked up a titanium version. Great watches for the price.
Can you share your wrist size - I am at 6.5” and want to get one. Thanks
@@HamishCarpenter A little under 6.5", so you should be fine.
Jody, thanks for the introduction to this watch brand! The Orange and yellow are cool but I love the white dial version which is out of stock but almost perfectly fits my search for s different white dial diver. I would love it more at 40mm but 41 is fine. Thanks again mate!
I have a 6.5” Wrist - any issues with the 41.5 size or does it wear smaller? Thank you
That is how you do a dial and handset! Call it McDonalds because I’m lovin it!
that blue one @ 0:44 is stunning... never heard of these before either..!
I like these watches and that’s a good strong deep orange.
Scurfa has been on my radar for a while and now they do mechanical watches I’ve had one on the shopping basket for a while.

Hi Jody, A great looking watch, Thabk you for this review I will be keeping an eye on Scurfa watch now
Just in time for Halloween 🎃
Nice. Love drilled lugs as I have over 100 straps and bracelets. Bezel and dial looks really nice. Hands size are fine too me
Love the yellow one! 💛
Good looking watch!
The best micro brand bar none, excellent quality,as good as the Swiss
I agree I would estimate that came out of more than likely the same factory that the Kronos in the San Martin's come out of
I'm not sure why the shipping was so high. I had mine sent to Alaska and it was 15 or 20 dollars.
That looks fantastic. I want one! 🤗
The orange dial really pops
Seems like a good seed in the next edition of LumeWars. I have an older (quartz) Scurfa that I picked up hears back - it's a great-fitting watch. I'm delighted that they didn't do an HEV.
Nice haircut Jody!

Ooftie! It's getting pricey eh?
Apologies, I thought I saw a butterfly clasp. No. The milled clasp is great but could do with more micro adjustment.
Yes, these international charges are getting worse. But if you want the watch you have to pay ☹️.
It’s a great looking watch with a great dial but at that price it’s got plenty of stiff competition!
The bezel insert looks like the one from the Helm Komodo.
You need to get your hands on the dan henry skin diver, really competitive with all the other low end divers.
I'll add it to the list mate, for sure!
Or the zelos aurora.
I have a Seestern and an Islander and I spent my life in machine shops, and although very different watches, I was thinking the other day the cases look like they came out of the same factory.

Sent some stuff (15kg) from UK by DPD to Australia a couple of days ago and it was £29. Can recommend.
Lovely watch, managed to pickup one of their limited editions this year. With the black plastic box you were on the right tracks - they are the same as the boxes used to machine parts to the oil rigs (where Paul works).
Ah! Thought it might have been a roughneck reference that went straight over my smooth neck.
@@JustOneMoreWatch Yeah we get lathe and mill heads in those type of screw together plastic container
Scurfa are awesome! 🔥

Jodie, any chance of naming your favourite three watch manufacturing/assembly companies in the Far East - as refenced in your review?
I could maybe do a video on it?
definitely worthy of a video, Jodie.
@@JustOneMoreWatch That would be great!
Very nice looking watch is out of my price range

Nice watch that. Case looks almost identical to my Geckota GMT.
Nearly bought a Diver One but talked myself out of it (way too many divers!). This is really nice though and seen as I live in the UK, shipping would not be a problem for once. 😄
Shipping has become insane!!!! Definitely halting my watch collecting.
I’m liking this !
The black and red matches my Minelab Equinox but out of stock and I can't get ahold of one!
looks a bit like the phoibos voyager v3 so I'm guessing they are both made in the same factory.
The website explains the packaging - “Watch supplied in our German manufactured twist box the same type of box used to supply a range of spare parts to the diving and offshore industry only made on a larger scale for Scurfa Watches”
My experience with both of my Scurfa watches is that the rubber straps are really good, definitely next level from standard.
@@mike891204 yeah he totally missed the great rubber strap that I wear with all my dive watches.
Great watch, I really enjoy my yellow dial. Spot on review. Hope to see a version 2 in the future.
I have the yellow one as well and like it very much. I think it's the best of the bunch and fits perfectly with the honeycomb dial.
Thanks Jody for a good couple of years! Really enjoyed the content you have consistently put out. Unfortunately I have sadly fallen out of love with watch collecting. Cheers for everything!
It's post-Boris that killed the pound. 💸
Not a brand I had previously come across, but a decent effort, good movement for the price, the hands are a little plain Jane
nice watch good value go Britain 🇬🇧

I really want this exact colour. Sp upset they're all sold out. Was looking at them a while ago. Should have pulled the trigger
Once the helium has escaped how does it get back in?
Have you broken your timegrapher Jodie? Always enjoyed seeing a spot inspection of accuracy
If this watch had larger hands and a 6 o'clock date window, it would be just about perfect imo.
It would be very interesting to know what other brands come from this china factory?
Just received my Scurfa quartz 500m (in orange - I believe I got the last one) and said yellow packaged box is sitting in front of me waiting to be unwrapped.
It reminds me of a a Nautilus with those wings and handset.
Nice dial but is other diver in market, noticing special. The most interesting colours are out of stock just as usual.
Morning Jody, that one is a bit of a looker alright. BTW the scammers are about again, I politely told them to go way!
Would love to see your take on a watch by Mr Jones. You like quirky watches and I think you would like them.
That is a sexy watch for a good price. £200 and you get an automatic movement. 😍
