    Smuggling illegal goods across the border is quite a risky endeavor, which, however, could make the perpetrators very rich.
    Smugglers come up with all kinds of tricks to fool the customs officers - sometimes these tricks might seem insane, sometimes brilliant, and sometimes outright ridiculous, but they all are definitely worth seeing.
    Today, we will tell you about the most ingenious ideas the smugglers came up with to get their illegal haul across the border. *** / @incredible-qq2zi SLICED ► goo.su/v3QLR

      yes that family with the cash stashed in the double thickness firewall had to have been grassed up.
      a ploy sometimes used by gangsters on European ferries is to get a patsy to smuggle something, only there are two cars, one a family with a huge haul and a patsy with a well stashed "token jesture" then as they are about to arrive they "grass up" the patsy, being a ferry they can only stop and search a small amount of vehicles, and tend to concentrate on lorries and vans , so half the teams are searching lorries the rest are tied up with the "patsy" and the "family" drive off the ferry scott free, this "bait and switch" smuggle can work on euro coaches too.

    Back in 2008, my father wanted to buy a car. There was this deal he saw on a billboard. It was a ford fusion for 17,800$. My father went to said location, and it was the manager of a resraurant he wanted to buy it from. He took a test drive, and noticed that the back seats were hard, there was no sponge. He asked him about it and he said, "look, i was a smuggler, i used to smuggle weapons, so i made my backseat a trunk for the weapons." Me and my father looked at each other. What irony.

      The catch being that people become overconfident after a while and forget that they have two enemies as smugglers. Customs being the more obvious (who look at behavior, body language, itineraries, etc. for secondary screening (as well as people who just pack bags full of cheap goods that they try to import without declaring because they don't realize that bags get x-ray scans which detect such goods)), and the person you are working for who might decide that you're no longer worth having around and just rat you out, especially in countries where they get financial rewards for reporting you, such as Nepal where you get a third of the value of the goods seized. xD

      the dealer/farmer points out one of his buyers every now and then. cops let him stay in business as a return favour, even give him half his gear back. they can show results to their bosses without any danger, work or stress. makes life safe and easy for them and the dealer need not fear the law. Too bad for the smuggler though - he can sit in his cell wondering how did the customs know. While the diplomats keep shifting volume and only the little guys get caught.

    Funny story about a drone, I was deployed and I was on guard duty with an airman who had a drone. This is back in 2011 so personal drones were still very new, well he had it controlled with his iPad, and he flew it too high, it caught a signal over the air and it shot off like a bullet over the hescos and was gone forever😂

    • @siggyretburns7523

      I bought a sharper image DX2 drone. I was at work on my break flying it around. Suddenly the bitch just took off faster than the controls I had could make it go. It wasnt stopping niether. Like a dog that never been out of a yard.
      So, I bought another but different type. You could say I went through several different types and sizes. Time had past and I saw DX2s on sale. I started thinking," I had one of those before", but couldnt remember what happened to it. So here I was, at the park flying it around...whoosh. then I remembered. Lol
      I have a theory what happened. Both places had an airport not far away. They must have caught a signal because they both took off towards the airport.

    Why have a title of the smartest and genius smugglers when your thumbnail is having a smuggler getting caught

  • @InuKun2008
    @InuKun2008 5 років тому +2

    As far as the gold, had it been Nepal, then it would likely have been the person who hired them to smuggle the gold, who ratted them to Customs, as Nepal has a policy of sharing seizures with the person who reported it, if there is no challenge by the defendants to the court within a specified period.
    So the ring leader will frequently tell the smuggler (typically a foreigner) to just sit tight in jail and not say anything to the authorities, as they are working on their release, all while actually just biding their time. Once the challenge period has expired, the ring leader claims the reward, and leaves the smugglers to rot in jail.
