Today we break down one of the IC's best tools, the Soymilk desync. Hope to do more guides like this in the future! Twitter: / imprez_ Twitch: / imprez_
This was really hard for me to get, but I finally got it after a few days of trying! The biggest tip I can give is to flick your stick to neutral BEFORE you slide to the opposite side, THEN flick to the opposite side and quickly press your attack input. Hope this helps some people! And thakns so much to Imprez for these guides!
I've received some questions asking for tips, and I'd say try to make yourself let go of the stick to reset it to neutral before you flick the stick and input. That's how you get skid and is definitely the hardest part of this tech, your brain will fight it.
I've watched so many videos on this and practiced it in all ways I could think of over the years, but I still can't land it consistently. However, I can do "much harder" desyncs in matches. I see many people like me in the comments of desync videos. Is soymilk hard for people like me possibly from the joystick I have? Is joystick snapback something you heard that causes problems with this tech?
@@ClintonChelak definitely, the controller I mainly use has snapback (stick flick) issue making soy milk nearly impossible to consistently. However switching to a new controller helped me get it significantly easier.
You're the freaking GOAT. This was literally impossible with letting go of the directional stick for me. Literally did it in a few tries with this advice. Thank you.
The infinite can be done on Jiggs, Paisy, G&W and Kirby too, but amazing video :) Also, I looove how you've included a variety of applications in the video ❤️
Good to know that my favorite characters are literally impossible to play for me at a level beyond the basics because I'm not some kind of alien with octopus hands.
@@Imprez2564 I have a hard time switching between attacking and shielding, let alone doing all this high APM stuff gated behind extreme experience/talent/both. I can do a few of the very simply desyncs very unreliably, and only in practice mode, never under any kind of pressure. Very demoralizing.
I figured it out. It's a lot more difficult than you think. To do a soymilk, you have to run, stop moving for a slit second, and THEN turn around and do an input. So you run forward, put the joystick in neutral, put the joystick backwards, and then do and input.
You have to run forward, put the stick in neutral, flick the stick backwards and then attack. What you're doing (and what I did for hours on end) is trying to attack during the turnaround animation of the run, when instead you should be running, stopping, turning around, and then attack.
NOTE: The infinite is also possible on Peach/Daisy, GnW, and Kirby!
And rats
Can’t be done on rats, but also works on Rosa
Wich one ? The normal one or the ice block one ?
@@asselax normal one
@@dagingerbreadman70 ok thanks

Oh my GOD that helped me, thank you so much
Not all heroes wear capes. Thank you so much!
WAIT WAIT WAIT SO YOU DO
run - return to neutral ?? - skid - move ?
@@Ice-do9ou nonono, you basically have to flick and get it to the neutral position REALLY fast so that it'll dsync

Don't give up! Took me a long time to get to this level man, I promise I was no Smash deity

Something of this quality definitely deserves more views
Much appreciated man, coming out with another desync tutorial VERY soon!
Greeeat stuff man. Think this is the best soymilk guide so far, like all the applications you included.
I wish there was a shortcut or an easier way to perform this. The inputs for soymilk are tight and leave a lot of possibility for error.
super informative and entertaining, def earned a sub. keep it up!
Awesome video excited for more!
Instructions unclear, set my hands on fire
How do you stop Nanna from dazh attacking?

Amazing
when i do it at the end of the skid animation nana does the uptilt but not popo xD
Whenever I desync nana dash attacks when I didn’t input one, any tips?

soymilk is the hardest desync
Smh i can do the nut but i cant do something as simple as this
I feel like the nut is easier
this is great stuff. how do you do button overlay? by hand?
Nope! It's a piece of hardware!
That's cool but what do you do to Pk fire?
Suffer
Have 2nd Climber block it with down special.
I cannot get this desync consistently no matter what I do
Keep practicing! It might be faster than you think. Make sure it's out of run!
h
I can’t do it help please
I have a secret technique to set them up. No tricky timing required!
@Toastytoad how secret?
it doesn't work at all
You have to run forward, put the stick in neutral, flick the stick backwards and then attack.
