That's how it should be for every one in any line of work. Years and years of grinding and doubt and crying and debt and pushing through until you're so sure of yourself and what you bring to the table that you can't be denied. Teddy did it the right way, which gives him even more credibility.
Damn is crazy how the music industry destroyed this type of music. Music that had soul in it. This is worth gold.
Auto tune, synths and drum machines are way easier to deal with than full bands of skilled musicians and great singers/song writers who want fair pay for their ability. It is shameful.

I am actually excited by music nowadays.. Sure it's harder for talent to get commercial play but there is more avenues to put out music then ever before. Back in the day you had 'a DJ' in 'a station' to help you break out... now days: you tube, Spotify, mix cloud ... the list is long. Celebrate what is, not what was. World is better when you look forward to it not dread it.

Really? I found this performance a little contrived tbh. Technically proficient sure, but like he knows it and is 'over-performing'. Would love to hear him sing a song that actually means something to him emotionally about a subject he has directly experienced on a deep and profound level. Perhaps that would tap into his 'soul', then maybe the emotion of the performance would take precedence over the showiness. Just my two cents..
