I used to drive tow truck and I hated bar closing time. This one guy phoned me to come unlock his vehicle. I had just pulled up and another tow company pulled up behind me. So I go talk to the other tow truck driver. I was kind of stalling for time because there is one other tow company where i live. As I was talking to the one tow truck driver here comes the third company. He was waiting for the first driver to unlock his vehicle so he could get home and screw 2 other drivers. Well now I am pissed off as well as the other 2 drivers. So i told the half drunk guy if he wanted his vehicle unlocked he had to pay the other 2 drivers that showed up behind me first and once he paid them the cost of the unlock of the unlock I would unlock his vehicle and he had to pay me. Plus I charged him a ass hole fee on top of the unlock cost. The guy was really pissed off at me and I told him these trucks do not run on air. I also told him you screw other tow operator and I show up to the call first the same thing is going to happen but the cost will increase for the other drivers as well. I told him I have a very good memory so you better think about that before pulling the same stunt again. And by the way the drunk guy had a sober driver to take him home.
Everyone thinks the "XL" was a Galaxie in those years as before but in 1969 and '70 (the last 2 years for the XL) it was made into a model all by itself. It was just called the Ford XL. You should not see any Galaxie emblems on this vehicle. Approximately 7000 Convertibles with the 429 had been made 1969 - 1970 I believe for the 1970 model XL, Most cars were fitted with a small block, but some received Ford’s big 429. Of the cars that were equipped this way, only 137 were convertibles!
A while back I sold a car on Craigslist for $800. I agreed to deliver it (50 miles) in the price. Cash on delivery. When I got there the buyer said he was short of cash and only had $700. While loading it back up, he discovered the other $100. Won't do that again.
Had the same thing happen. I borrowed a truck and got a friend to go with me , drove 40 miles one way only to arrive at the meeting location and a text comes through saying , sorry just sold the car and i see it drive away! Curious if the van will run and love the Ford , Moms friend had a white one just like it .
Hate it. I drove 2 hours one time to go pick up a car, same deal, person sold the car 2 minutes before I got there. Like, dude never said he had someone else coming. I was sooooooo upset.

Agreed, Magnum 500s would set the car off. The steelies look terrible, unless you black them out and dig dish them like your four door.
I like how the '69 Galaxie convertible looks almost exactly like a larger '69 Torino convertible. It's a cool car.
Yeah they really do don't they.
I am a new subscriber… love this channel
I agree with you about the seller. He could of least changed the ad to Pending Sale.

Had a guy show up tonight for a wheel. He was an hour late, then tried to lowball me on it after we agreed on the price beforehand.
