Hello Coppell, Love the work that you are doing, however I do have a question regarding my Odyssey Neo G9 49in monitor ( LS49AG952NNXZA ). I got this monitor second hand and for a very good deal, in the deal it was said that about 2 inches of the left side of the screen flickers; is this a panel issue or a problem with the power board in the monitor ?
I did it. I damaged the "gold tape". Not with a screwdriver but a tiny drill bit. That connector goes to the screen side. I assume it can't be fixed but some guys will amaze you. Is it repairable? I didn't really need an excuse to get the 57 inch model but I have one coming. I'd save the 49 inch it if I could. Paid $1100 for it. I'm local in HEB.
I am afraid I do not know any service center in the US that offers COF replacement (that's the name of this plastic "cable"). Theoretically it is definitely possible with the right equipment, but it's a project that requires working on the LCD screen itself, which implies shipping in both directions and that alone would have already made it too risky and expensive. I am afraid what you'll end up doing is just selling the main board and possibly - though not very likely - the power board on eBay. And did you just donate $20 to the channel?! Boy that would definitely make you the first ever!!!
@@coppelltvrepair I just thought it would get attention and you'd answer. I replaced it with the 57" Samsung. It still works but has a thin vertical line just left of center.🙁Appreciate the answer. Hank
@@coppelltvrepair Does the cable run across the entire screen? I thought there would be individual 'tabs' behind the bezel. I'm trying to find a video showing those tabs and with the front bezel removed - I'll need to do a repair on mine :(
Thanks for the howto - it worked great!
Hey i have a first gen q9 amd the backlight appears to no longer be working. Do you know what part has the backlight power?
Thanks!
Thank you very much, nobody has every given us super thanks before!

May be LCD panel COF or may be LED strip section about to go out, but no way it can be a bad power supply.
