  • I've been trying out the JENNYCHEM products on a reasonably dirty Mitsubishi L200.
    I tried the snowfoam and the snowstorm products 50/50, as well as a wheel cleaner, shampoo, and spray wax.
    A few other products were used in the mix such as another brand tar remover, fallout remover, glass cleaner, tyre dressing, and drying aid.
    You can buy most branded products here (but not JennyChem) at in2detailing:

    I used the snow storm yesterday on my neighbours filthy old fiesta. It was amazing, the dirt just foamed out of all the crevices. I think it might be too caustic to use on a decent car. Might risk tarnishing the chrome etc. The wheel cleaner is my go to. I’ve been using it for years. I use it through an IK foamer. Amazing products

      @@challinor02 I havent compared side by side, on the same car, but I'd say BH is slightly better cutting than the cherry foam. But that's expected as the cherry foam is PH Neutral. How does the Snowstorm TFR fare when it comes to black plastics and rubbers on cars? Will it damage them by turning them grey? As I'm after a non costic TFR like the Powermaxed TFR u reviewed, what would u suggest is better to use on cars, not trucks like I think Jenny Chems main aim is at.

    Aren’t decon products meant to be used after the wash stage. As some contamination can be trapped under dirt and traffic film, as well as a some of the contamination will come off in the wash, meaning you’re wasting product on contamination that would’ve been removed in the wash
    Aswell, were the ph readings taken from neat product or from the Lance. The tfr measured incredibly high neat but probably won’t be that high once it’s been mixed with water in the bottle and once it’s come out the Lance

    • @DetailingandtheBeast
      @DetailingandtheBeast  3 роки тому

      Usually yeah, but given the amount of the surface muck and film that snowstorm TFR foam removed it's a mute point. Coupled with this being a quick wash as a favour (for free!), I hadn't got all the time in the world.
      Yeah they were readings when in the lance, not at panel. It's still alkaline after panel dilution. I can get it measured if it's of interest? (Just let me know). Its a really really strong TFR, I'd place it on par with PM TFR but I'm currently testing them together this winter to clarify that statement.

      Still think autofoam has the edge at at 4% PIR. It's very very watery though, Jennychem is a bit thicker and lasts longer on the panel. Both are about the same in price for 5ltr (around 16quid).
      You already know it wont be 100% clean after either, but both are very very capable. Another reason I'd choose autofoam if I was you, weve recently found Jennychem have two versions of this foam and one is utter shite, the other is awesome. Ah, I think it's just called Non- Caustic Snowstorm tfr maxi mousse. 😁 No mention of bubblegum scent though so maybe they removed that from the description after watching this video? 😏

      @@gingerphil probably. This vid seems to have give JC a bit of a push in the right direction. It had already steered them to produce a samples kit, and I havent seen as many silly product claims via adverts. They seem to have been very receptive to the feedback I gave, am I'm actually impressed by their reaction to improve rather than having a hissy fit! 👍

    Waiting for a response now from Jennychem. I bought their snowstorm non caustic to quickly blitz my cars and bikes at the weekend.
    Does a fair job, good review.
    Their FB ads are a little.... constant 😁

    Diluted the snowfoam too much.
    Try 1 -2 inches then top up with water.

    • @DetailingandtheBeast
      @DetailingandtheBeast  4 роки тому

      That would be LESS than I did! At 08:35 you hear me say 1:4 dilution that's a 20% product in that bottle, much more than "1-2 inch". As I state, the products are used as per bottle instructions. 👍

      No problem Andy. Its VERY important to me that I use things as advised by the manufacturer, as that's what we (as consumers) will do.
      I understand that we can all play around with dilution and concentration, bit if I did that on videos we'd be watching videos a week long! 🤪

      Always do mate, personally not that bothered about community stuff as its always... sorry mostly about peoples ego's. On the detailing side of things its always informative, enjoyable and learning new things. Respect and appreciation to yourself and the others for being honest. I do know that behind the scene you hide behind the door (cracking one off 😅😅🤣 ) when they hear the notification bell going off to another comment or sub!! On a serious note mate, enjoying all your videos so please keep up the content and humour. 🌈🌈🌈

      I didn't get chance to test any longevity, but I'd agree it's likely more of a "short term" product. Spray and wipes waxes have never really been known for their longevity.
      It smelt lovely though! And actually lingered long after I'd finished. 🍊🍊🍊
