You've been a huge help in my learning process. Thanks for the videos! Excited to do my first 212 build, stage 1 on a doodlebug. Love your "budget build" video, especially explaining how you remove the governor and oil sensor. Very helpful. Keep up the good work and be safe.
Just put this carb in my coleman BTX200 this weekend. Works great at idle and low-mid speeds, but noticeably bogs down on the high end. Thinking it's the jetting? Thanks, love your videos!
Hi Black. Your videos got me from 19 to 38 MPH! Got a carb question. Carb jet couldnt be removed on my baja. Put carb bowl back on. That little bowl gasket kind of pinched. Cant line it up. Now its quitting & leaking a bit if gas. Can something that small shut me down?
My mini bike did 61mph with a mod 2 cam, billet rod/flywheel, 22lbs springs. 18t clutch & 75 rear sprocket.. Just looking for a good slide carb for my mini bike so the throttle is better too, i bought the omb throttle linkage for governor & sucks it didnt have a return spring it was 22 buck plus shipping. Now plug a small spring. I should of bought a slide carb, those have a spring in them.
I bought the same 24mm Nibbi carburetor for my daughter's ghost. I've been messing with the jetting I forgot which jet it came with I was wondering if you had a recommendation on a size jet. It is stuck with The Predator ghost exhaust. I was also wondering if you knew what pound valve springs that Ghost came with.
I threw a nibbi carb on a 1983 Honda xl250r because I thought the old carb was plugged up. It didn't start before and it doesn't start now. Do you think the carburetor is the problem or could it be something else? Everything seems in check but still won't start. (Exhaust gets hot but doesn't kick over)
@@Wulf805 I bought a new spark plug and set the gap, and was the same. But I would think if it has spark, fuel, and compression it should kick over.....but nope haha. Also thank you for the input
@@litnlarry okay I'll try that. I think I tried before but just backfired.... I adjusted the valves afterwards due to them being too tight. but I'll try again. Thanks
Just a bit of history on the bike. It was parked for quite a while because the kid said it was seized.... I got it to free up and move smoothly. It had oil in it and valves seem fine. It has compression and spark. The exhaust gets hot to the touch when trying to kick it over and pops out of the tail pipe sometimes.
I was hoping you made a video with an upgraded carburetor and here it is :) Yes valve springs would be in order I just hope the rod is decent and it's balanced. Top speed could have dropped due to rich jetting on top end. Shutting it off right at top speed and reading the plug would tell you a lot. With all those 4 stroke engines you should get a wideband like the AEM to know your a/f ratio so you can get the most out of the engine. Can you get stronger clutch springs to get a higher RPM off the line? That would help the 0-30 a lot since it sounds like the engine has plenty of power once the rpm's get up a bit..
