Shirley Ulmer was a friend of mine who showed me a 3/4 inch tape transfer of this incredible film. She even got the son of the star (Tom Neal Jr.) involved in a video short of mine. Arianné helped create the American Film Market and invited me to an early party. This shoestring budgeted film shows the true genius of innovative filmmakers. I love it.
love Eddie's noir alley on TCM .I wish he would branch into the neo noir of the60s through 90s. He loves restoring these noir films would be great he got into producing 2K neo noir. back to Detour 45. please dig up the 92 remake
Pésima película y pésimos actores, si la comparamos con las grandes películas que se rodaron en aquella epoca, el guion no esta mal sin embargo pero en general la película no resiste bien el paso del tiempo.

A film that makes you wonder if life has any meaning.
Thats what film noir is about my man.
I like Eddie , he tells it like it was or is & gives a background into what I would otherwise never know
I found Detour fantastic.

I liked TCM better years ago when they didn’t have these “ film experts “ explaining the movie to the viewers. Just show the movie. Thanks.
You might be thinking of AMC. TCM always had hosts and experts, starting with Robert Osborne in 1994.
I sort of agree, although I think Eddie is great.
