Such a wonderful interview. Learning so much about the Leo Jaymz brand and seeing the genuine dedication and passion he has is very refreshing. I am so impressed with the openness to new ideas, but also a commitment to producing a quality product. This was just so enjoyable to view. Now I'm even more excited to own my first Leo Jaymz guitar. Wishes for continued growth and much success to Leo. 😁
When I picked up my Leo Jaymz guitar for the first time and played it, I was shocked! The $109 I spent gave me a guitar that played like a PRS or a Gibson! The electronics are certainly not the best, but the quality of the build is top notch! I can honestly say, it's one of the best guitars I own!
Likeable guy, and his aspirations are genuine (and realistic). Hope he keeps up the effort, and keeps bringing those affordable guitars and kits to players.
I can’t ever remember seeing a guitarist interview a guitar manufacturer owner/founder. I was on the fence whether to purchase one of the TS guitars…now I am not on that fence. This dude is humble, honest, and damnit he’s doing the best he can all while learning every day. I now support his efforts and will get one (or more). Labels be damned👊🏼
I just bought two Leo Jaymz double cut guitars and received them yesterday. I got the American flag and the cherry red. They looked really good except for the polishing on the bodies and necks of the guitars. there were a few dull buffing marks on both. If the quality control could get rid of those , the guitars would be outstanding!!! Thanks and keep making a great guitar. Please pass this on to Leo. Thanks!
Great interview, I'm very interested in Leo guitars, they are hitting a home run with their LPs,and the prices are insane for such quality builds, every review I've seen on UA-cam, are very positive towards the brand, and all of their guitars are fantastic, keep up the amazing guitar building, much respect to you and your company. 😊👍
Great interview. Thank you for remembering to ask for us lefties! You can tell he has a great passion for what he does and I don't think lefties are completely out of the question, I believe he wants to make them when it's the right time.
I had to admit, I didn't know what to expect from their guitars. The first one I've ever bought was actually from you, the blue Monsoon. And aside from needing a little bit more sanding on the back of the neck (no big deal), it's great. I don't even mind the reverse headstock or the 14" radius. It feels and plays great. These guys are doing good work.
This was awesome! It's great to see interviews like this. I've been blowing off the brand because I thought it was another fly by night cheapo company. But now I will look closer. 😊
I have a singlecut honeyburst and it's well made. The neck and frets are solid wood. Incredible value and I love the story behind his sons name should be Leo James...
Love Mine... got a nice Leo Jaymz 39” Electric Guitar Les Paul Style - Mahogany Body and Neck - Curved top Exquisite Flame Maple Veneer - Newly upgraded Alnico V Pickups, Powerful and Pure Nice Green and Yellow. sounds great running it thru my Positive Grid 40
Thanks for the review. I bought one of these( SC American Flag model) a month ago ($179 from Amazon). It arrived in perfect condition and well packed. I had read all of the pros and cons prior to buying it and decided to try one for good or bad. I don't regret it! I've been playing for over 60 years and several as a professional. I don't claim to be an authority on guitars but honestly...I love this guitar, as is , right out of the box. I tuned it up and it stays in tune, no microphonic feedback from the pickups, neck is straight, frets are polished and smooth and the action is perfect as is for me. I use a Marshall Code 50 amp which seems to be a good match. I found no cosmetic flaws and it is a beautiful guitar. Strings are OK but I may eventually change them to Elixirs. I'll put it up against my Gibson Les Paul Standard any day. This is a well built instrument in my opinion and underpriced for the overall quality and playability. I wouldn't hesitate to play it on stage. Different strokes for different folks but personally I don't think anyone would regret buying this guitar. I know I'll be buying another one soon.
Good interview and informative , I really hope he succeeds because he seems like he really cares about his customers. Especially after you gave him suggestions on how to improve his guitars , don't own any Leo guitars yet but the Monsoon will be the first on the list to try.✌️🤘
Just clicked on your pick link. Someone needs to bring back the homeplate pick! Noticed the musicians I like don't use the standard pick, nor do they use off the rack 10 or 9 sets - often custom sets - surprisingly with 8 as the base.
Hello i love ur guitars i own 15 so far and the teli honey burst on the way#16 so u tell me im not loyal, hell ya brother i have ur back 100% u to shredder
I treated myself to a white double cut (Read SG) model over the holiday season, and I just LOVE IT Sounds gnarly, well built, and won't break the bank. It's even cheaper than an Epiphone SG Jr. Special Model, and a lot cheaper. Makes a great beginner guitar as well as a home jamming, and open mic. guitar. HIghly recommended!
Great interview! Very interesting & informative. Thank you! One note: please be mindful of the audio when you're doing these interviews. This was a little light on the volume & made it difficult to understand Leo at times. Otherwise ...nicely done!
they really need to make both a white and a black explorer with no binding, dot inlays and no pickguard. it would be cool to see a single hum version too. they used to sell the kits (i own one) but it would be awesome if they sold a complete one. i also own one of the red LPs and the paintjob is perfect minus one weird spot on the back of the headstock but its the size of a pea. its like the clear coat is just floating on the surface or something in that tiny spot. cheap parts but i bought it to upgrade it. will be buying something else again in the future. probably one of the esp V shape, dime bag, or the bc rich kits. i love to build them and there affordable. just bought my second explorer kit but thru a different company because leo isn't selling any right now. maybe ill make a video comparing them.
Dude...my other UA-cam page was watching this video here...and I've been subscribed for a long time..but..I had to subscribe again....this is th like 3rd time I've subscribed to your channel..is youtube taking subscribers away sneaky like behind the scenes..cuz I should've been subscribed to your channel already on both of my channels.
Figured I'd run this past you and see if you've noticed anything odd like this as well.its happened to me on some other people I watch too.i had to resubscribe to a few others as well .very weird and not cool on UA-cams part.unless it's a mistake in theyr system.
There a lot of hype about this brand and it hear from the president and how he listens to customer feedback is amazing. It should be a wake up call to the established brands.
QUESTIONS: - How do you install string spacers on your telecaster replacement neck listed on Amazon?? The neck has the indentation at the top. -Why is your contact info not listed on the Amazon site?
A good question would’ve been wider guitar bodies in the future. but I think they make a good guitar for the price especially to budgeting musicians that want something better than a squire.
I have A Leo Jaymz Sg model in white It came out of the box needing a little setup but it was playable . It's been about two months now and I have no complaints. I do like the shirt where can I get one?
It just amazes me what killer budget guitars that they are coming out with now. These guys, West Creek and Grote are making exceptional instruments was higher quality and features comparable to Jackson and Ibanez for a fraction of the cost.
I have 2 Leo Jaymz guitars. 1 Monsoon, and 1 kit. I also have 2 necks that I will eventually put on a guitar, but I am not sure which body other than LJ bodies will be compatible.
I dont blame them for not using Floyd Rose bridges, they are a pain in the arse even for experienced guitarists and considering a large section of people buying their guitars will be novices they will have trouble with the Floyd Rose and so the Amazon returns will be larger. I would like to see them build some higher-specced guitars with high quality switches and full size pots, genuine hipshot bridges and high quality tuners and sell them from their own website
I def don't want a Floyd rose from a budget guitar company. Just keep doing what ya doing Leo jaymz. Keep bringing more guitars with those Alnico v pickups (or better) also package your guitars more secure. Love my lp single cut. Got my eye on your new tellie's ... bring us a better sg model!
Ok, just got my American flag Les Paul, just have to tell you, Gibson, SHAME ON YOU for pricing your guitars so far out of reach to the everyday musician. This Leo Jaymz Les Paul had very low action right out of the box, I don’t have to do anything to it, I will be putting on a set of Gibson 10’s because the strings suck, sorry but they just do. I bought this guitar for an American Flag wall hanger but never expected to really enjoy playin the darn thing lol. Great job guys.
Just put a set of Gibson 10’s on her and holy crap man, this guitar is fantastic, with very minute intonation adjustments, and I actually raised the action a hair, I can’t put this axe down.
Yes left handed would be real nice I have the middle finger on my left hand is missing the first knuckle, so playing right is out of the question. And besides I was born left handed, we are the only ones in the right side of the brain.
I really do not have to have a Floyd Actually installed. I just want it pre routed from the factory on a Good guitar like the Monsoon. Not on one of the Leo Jaymes DIY kits. I can easily install my own Floyd 1000. For that matter I can have it routed at a shop but thats Never as good as a true Factory route. I wish he would consider just selling some Monsoon bodies even ones with No pickups.. but with a Floyd Route
look love you to death bro and your my favorite channel but leo jaymz guitar kit i received the wood was different colors and was 5 pieces glued unevenly i sent them message they argued with me bout so im done ill never buy anything else from them i wanted to just stain guitar now having to get it smooth enough to paint or wrap😤
The Brand name is spreading well and we love you. Keep up the great work and thanks for listening to us all for feedback!
"Leo Jaymz is my son's name" that is cool.
Such a wonderful interview. Learning so much about the Leo Jaymz brand and seeing the genuine dedication and passion he has is very refreshing. Yeah you're right , some other manufacturers should take notes!
I absolutely LOVE Leo Jaymz instruments and now I love the company and the owner. Keep it up! We support you!
Good interview Richard. He seems like a really nice guy.

Great interview!!! I don’t own a Leo model yet but I totally like his passion
Is this new? Bed time stories with the Bald Shredder? 😂 cool interview! 🤘 Thanks Shredder 😊

Glad you like it. I think they really nailed it with the Monsoon.
Of all the budget brands, I’m considering the Leo Jaynz specifically because of the reverse headstock! It’s different and not in a bad way either.
Very interesting interview. Sounds very promising with the future of his company. This is something that you don't hear from the bigger companies
Great interview, Leo seems like a pretty solid dude.
Exellent interview. What a great guy Leo is. Full support here at Fulton Street Beats! Real and down to earth. 💯. Thanks to you both!
Great interview. Leo seems like a great humble guy.
Super nice guy.
Leo is a Cool Dude ! I hope he keeps the price affordable !
Awesome I like several of his guitars. I plan on buy one in the near future. Also love watching your channel. Keep it shredding.
Great interview, I know he mentioned towards the end about pickups and tuners I wish he would have said more about future ideas 💡
Excellent interview. I hope they succeed in their future goals. Thank you for sharing this Richard!
I love your channel.i would NEVER unsubscribe..

Very exciting looking at the lineup and price values of Leo Jaymz guitars!! I love some of the visuals!! Beautiful guitars!! 🤩
I just ordered the American flag les Paul after hearing great reviews . Hopefully it’s as good as advertised.
Humility is power. This guy is it.
Where to buy Leo Jaymz Scorpion?

Wow Richard this is such an awesome interview I love it. Shred on dude.😃👍❤️🔥⚡️🎶🎸
I want some Leo Jaymz swag!!!!
Great interview.
Well Leo seems like a pretty cool dude.
Good interview. I just did one of their kits this summer and it sounds great. Want to try one of their songle cuts soon.
Most guitar companies including boutique ones just make copies of standard models, this guy deserves credit for including his own designs.
😂😂😂😅😅

Not everyone can believe it, but Leo Jaymz makes great guitars. Now you know.
About to take delivery of a Leo Jaymz tele kit. Looking forward to a fun build!
this was very interesting. thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gonna have to get one😊
Great Video!
Leo, just ordered a Monsoon yesterday in Dec 2024, i hope its good
This was awesome dude! Also funny he mentioned bridgecraft. I've seen a lot of bridgecraft models over the years at work lol.
That's funny because I had no idea about Bridgecraft.

Ok I’m sold! I don’t even play but I’m going to… just ordered a Leo Jaymz single cut LP
Watched this to make sure they were a good brand. I now have 3 guitars in my cart ready to order😂

Yes. He had one at the NAMM Show.

How old is this interview? Haven't they had Floyd moels for a while?
Hello Richard, do you know can we buy leo jaymz guitars in Europe ? Thanks for your nice vidéos
He said in the interview he was working with a distributor in Germany for the Europe market. Not sure if they are available yet.
Here's an idea. Put binding around the headstock of your LP style Guitars again like you used to.
Too small to make lefties, eh? Lots of other brands do so I can't be a customer. cool interview, James!
I have a Leo James, Les Paul copy and I love it to death
The single cut catches my eye, with the U.S. flag.
I dont blame them for not using Floyd Rose bridges, they are a pain in the arse even for experienced guitarists and considering a large section of people buying their guitars will be novices they will have trouble with the Floyd Rose and so the Amazon returns will be larger.

They would make a ton of money if they did a take on the firebird.
Imagine the effect in the industry if they throw a FR1000 on one of their tempests and still sell it for much less than a name brand.... 😲
