Hey man, that’s me! :)
@@staffan.carlen nice track. You singing on it? The vox are really nice 😁👍🏼
Hello there! Yes, that’s me singing:) thanks for the nice words! 🙏
A walkthrough to your room treatment will be awesome. To see your approach and criteria on how improve your listening/mixing/mastering room.
A video about managing harshness in a mix or master session would be nice ! 🙏🏻
Keep those small tutorials coming and I can guarantee you that by end of 2021 you’ll be close to 100k!🚀✨
You asked, " Why do I keep doing it to myself?". It's called... being a perfectionist; a very coveted trait in a mastering engineer.
Yo streaky these type of referencing and setup vids are super informative mate!
Really dig the videos of you breaking down your gear, routing and all the extra gadgets on your desk. Cheers
I wanna see you try and mix a track vs a mixing engineer and then them master a track vs you and see each others take on the track. Lets go Streaky!
I actually want to see this as well ngl
Dude, this is an excellent idea!
Would love to see you possibly master a rock song all the way through please
Do his mastering course mate, U will following him alone mastering some tracks..I’ve done the course and it’s worth every penny
Hey! great content, I would like to see a mastering on a budget, all in the box , as we are usually not able to afford the analog stuff:)
Great idea!
Yeeah
Not sure if you have already talked about this, but your acoustic and room treatment would be a nice topic. 😉👍
This blue box looks terrific! Can't wait to hear more about it from you in your future video!
Hi Streaky, I’d love to see a more detailed vid on your room design. Sound proofing and acoustic treatment. Keep up the good work, Cheers
I would love to see an extensive studio design/build video!
Liking these longer videos, keep up the excellent work Streaky.
Oh and by the way I’m so glad your channel exists, so much incredible information. I’ll be in touch in due course for mastering.
Would definitely love to see you review more affordable Mixing and Mastering hardware pieces 👍🏾
A video where you master a track hybrid compared to the same track all in-the-box would be cool!
Got me sitting here looking at my studio thinking about ripping things apart lol. Great video streaky
I would actually like to see some mindset videos. How you get into your flow. And how often you take breaks etc
Would love to see a mastering video about more cinematic/ambient/dark ambient stuff, I know it's a loong shot but no one seems to consider doing tutorials about thise genres as we're left to translate mixing and mastering rock/electronic tutorials for our purposes
Love your work mate,
Would like to see a video on your room treatment.
Great to see a video on gear and DA/AD converter calibration in more detail. Great as ever!
Great video as always, would love to see video about how you built the traps and accoustic treatment in your room
Much prefer this type of video Streaky! This box is already next on my shopping list, just waiting for a second hand one to become available (just missed out on one from KMR!). Thanks again!
Def would love to see a video about tonal balance of a mix! Thanks for dropping so many other gems!
I'd like to see a video about how to treat a home studio for mastering. Great stuff!
I would dig seeing more videos about where/why/how to use a clipper for loud material. Love the channel!
I'd love to see you do a vid on how to space out elements of a track in the stereo field ( pretty please with sugar on top )
FUTURE VIDEO IDEAS:
1) What all GREAT mixes have in common
2) BEST Mastering Plugins 2021
Future video idea: easy steps/ways to deal with pressure from the mainstream music industry and how to get your songs to be popular without a major label behind it
or
collab/ video call with other "youtube" producers/engineers like Warren Huart, Glenn Fricker, etc
Great video, cheers!
In short... Marketing yourself and networking 😊😁
Warren asked what studios he should visit and I mentioned Streaky... He wrote back that they had actually reached out to him to do so but it didn’t happen, I forget the details/if Streaky didn’t respond or what.
I don’t know why but it would really blow my mind to see those paths cross, those personalities would be fantastic.
@@hauntedbytheliving1175 true. Both are amazing at what they do
Nice video! A video covering common mix problems that you see in tracks that you're sent for mastering would be great.
I would like to see the best things to start to do to become a mastering engineer when your a kid
Start Mastering anything you can for free, when you are full up start charging £20 a track then when you are full start charging £40 etc etc...I’m £80 so still more room to go for me! 🤦♂️
@@Streaky_com thanks man I’ll try to build up some clients. Really hope I can win this giveaway
Protect that hearing is my best advice, and secondly listen, listen, listen!
I much prefer these kinds of videos to the short salesy tips and tricks that don't really do that much to anyone.
What a giveaway! I’d love to see a show giving mixing tips. Keep up the great work Streaky 👍
Really enjoying your videos. Keep up the good work. I want that Maselec badly :D
Tegeler are brilliant! love their stuff.
Would love more house music tips and tricks
Loving the videos always helps me I currently study at ACM Music production who are partnered with Metropolis studious and I’ve learnt so much from you thanks!
I dont know if its giving away too many secrets, but i would like to see the full process of mastering by Streaky. Kinda like these videos by Tom Framton from Mastering The Mix, but those videos are so rare...
by the way I neeeeeeed this Maselec
would love to see you mastering diferrent styles of music and comparing the chains
I'd like to see your skills and process as a mastering engineer working on EDM (Maybe something a bit less commercial - Claptone or Patrick Topping perhaps). Take us through your process using just plugins, and then again just outboard and finally your ideal workflow (Using both). I'd be happy to donate a track for you to use.
Up vote for that!
keep on! all great vids and good mindset!
Would love to see some more indepth videos on stereo width and phase relationships!
As a faithful watcher of Streaky's videos and a subscriber and one who is developing an an affinity for hardware gear l must say that l am drawn in by this video in particular😊💯💯
A stream of your mastering process would be pretty cool!
Nice vid this is a great window into your space in a working context! That’s a helpful point about balancing workflow and sound. Also I second that request for a rock song mastered from start to finish! I read a famous mixer describe how before he and other newbies were allowed to learn mixing, they had to spend months learning with the mastering engineers, to learn what they were aiming for. Thanks for all the knowledge you’re putting out 🙏🏼
Love ya your videos Bro! I appreciate the info & knowledge you be sharing. Two THumbs up
Would love to see a strategy for checking bass in a small room where full range speakers don't work.
would love more of the quick tip videos! Great stuff!
Dang fingers crossed on winning that unit! Thanks for the opportunity.
It'll be cool to see you master a song from start to end
Would love to see you going over quick tips to get a certain sound per genre. For example these are the best tips for mixing/mastering hip hop, best tips for reggae, edm etc.
Always fantastic information Streaky love your channel. Getting closer to 50k buddy. Would be good to see some videos on gain staging out of the daw and what your workflow is in you’re hybrid setup
You should do a video on entry-level outboard gear. Been starting my collection of rack units and would love to know what gear you think is best to first get for the common engineer/producer
Cool to actually see the studio a bit better nice space I like the cloud arrangement:) keep streaking mate oh and you can send me the masalec btw.. would love to add some analog spice to my digital only mastering work flow.. cheers! Haha
Would love to see more on AD/DA conversion in mastering. Great channel.
Idea: Room treatment comparison and where to put it in an average room. And why you don't want a completely dead room.
Just found your channel , I’m liking your videos a lot since I am learning how to master .
Love the mastering chats! I’d love to see you discuss intricate ins and outs of your mastering chain and how everything is rooted and how you access it through your software! Keep up the good work! 💯
Love your studio!
Would love some more mastering gear reviews
Hi. I would like to see an in depth video about room calibration. Types of equipment, in different price ranges. Also, can you do it manually? Playing pink noise to a measurement mic, and EQ the speakers until the mic "sees" a flat line on a frequency meter.
Always love your videos Streaky and my gosh that reference track has really grown on me!! I’d like to see more vlog style videos in between the reviews and tutorials, not only would this boost the frequency of content for us to see but it would be super interesting to see more day-in-the-life kinda stuff!!
One final thing, obviously can appreciate ad revenue is important but I can’t stand how UA-cam ruined the reference track I’m listening to with an ad in between. Is there any way to tweak when that advert comes maybe? Failing that just stick to pre/post roll imho.
Cheers, Trevor
Loving the quick tutorials and looking at how to set up your studio!
Great vid Streaky. Would love to see a video on a track that can't be mastered. In other words can every mix be mastered no matter how bad its mixed or is there a breakthrough moment when one can say ya its ready now lets send it to Streaky.
When I was younger I got to work with Adam Ayan at Gateway... I definitely sent him stuff that “couldn’t be mastered” and it was incredible what he was able to do, even if there were still some issues. He was amazing and I learned so much in our discussions.
Mastering engineers are the greatest surgeons of the audio industry.
As an avid Streaky watcher, I have to say this was one of the best videos on the channel.
Nice! Subbed , and Interested in a video about wiring your rack mounted gear, or how you made your acoustic cloud
I'd like to see a video where you talk about your listening process. What do you listen for first? What kind of reactions make you reach for different gear, maybe in or out of the box.
Love the videos mate! Would love to see some more on room acoustics.
A complete mastering tutorial from a to z. Also recommendations for mastering at home :)
How ‘bout an episode dealing with mastering an analog instrument based project and how you would approach that vs a project that was created in the box with virtual instruments.
I would love to see tutorials on creating different styles of music from start to finish 👌
Also a tutorial video on reading manuals would be rather awesome! LMAO!!!
Thanks Streaky! Loving the content.
I love gear reviews so I wouldn’t mind seeing more of those!
You've got to be a bit mad that Allesandro hasn't got his Adams angled in. Backed right into the wall as well
YESS ! the maselec is still getting given away 💃🏻🎉
I'm a subscriber and I love these vlogs you do. It reminds me of the original streaky videos from nearly 10 years ago 😆
:) have a great weekend mate
I would love some videos about your whole mixing and mastering process
I’d love to see a video from start to finish of you mastering a song while being hybrid!
I’d love to see a video on use of a diode bridge compressor on the main buss 👀
Would love to see a video where you master a whole track !
Some ear training/tips videos would be cool to see in the future
Would love to see a video about 500 series mastering equipment!
Would just love to see more hardware vs software gear comparisons, to help us justify the extra expense of hardware, which is getting more and more difficult to do lately.
Do it because you love it. Thats it. Yes financially it may get to a point where it doesn't make sense but most of the time love doesn't either.
Streaky!! nice video.. would love to see a video of your routing setup.
Like the sound of that compressor almost sounds like an exciter!
Would love to learn how you use the Dangerous 2 Bus plus. Awesome vids btw.
Would like to see you do tutorial series on mastering from beginning to the end, with tips, tricks and a full breakdown of eqing the track, aswell as how to get the best mix using anlog/digital gear and how to get your low end to sound right in the mix, and how to grain stage right so that your instruments well mix in your track..
Sounds like you need my course as that would take a lot of videos 👍
@@Streaky_com is your course free, as I dont earn alot as I'm student, studying music engineering in college. And a UA-cam short video tutorials would help me alot..
Love to see some more content on signal chain and what you do what it comes back into the daw.
Would love to see some hardware vs equivalent plug-in comparison videos. Thanks as always Streaky!
Would love to just be a fly on the walk & watch you work
I would like to see more gear stuff and how they sounds like please .... love your vlogs 👍🏻
I’d like a few tips on tracking please Streaky, the pre-remastering stage, EQ considerations for different instrument types, BUS compression etc. Thanks, keep up the great work.
How about a video about your final export process. Or a video of how you like to receive files out of mix. Show us your preferred output process for files you’re about to receive. Like how to get it the right output level for you.
Nice! I would love to see a video where you compare the different eras of sound mastering, in other words what was typical in the 60s, 70s, 80s and so on... keep up the good work. (+I'd like the Maselec please lol)
I'd love to see a video on your room setup, monitors and acoustics.
Future video idea: Reviews of mastered tracks of the past!
Possibly a video on analog summing like the Neve 5057 Orbit. Frankie C NY , Producer / Remixer/Mastering
