The bee movie was actually a reboot. The director of this film RoTB have stated multiple times it's a reboot. I watched the film today, might be one of my favorite transformers films- they got Optimus Prime right! I love that they got his character right, loved the human cast it was actually surprisingly easy to like them, Pete Davidson was pretty good as mirage and it felt like I was a kid again- I'd give it a nine out of ten, that ranking could change with however I reflect on the film though

I do think it’s weirdly important for humans to be part of a live action movie. If it weren’t for humans “reacting” to the transformers or being wowed by the experience then it don’t think the movies would land as well as they do. On another note, I wish the robots were a bit more complex in their designs. I get a bit distracted by the faces (such as RC or wheeljack) because… what car part makes those weirdly rounded features? I couldn’t tell you how RC makes herself so “smooth” and human-like

I went into this movie expecting nothing really, but I came out absolutely blown the fuck away. Yeah, it's flawed, it's not perfect, but holy fuck did it wipe the Bay films in my opinion. This movie made the five year old in me who watched the first Bayverse with my dad and wanted more robot screentime very happy. Absolutely my favorite transformers live action movie.
I used to love those movies ( not the second one I hated that devastator didn’t even fight prime at all when he was combined with jet fire( well was supposed to be combined but in movie that was different) I like 1 3 and bumblebee but this is absolutely my favorite after watching a second time it flies by
I just came from seeing the movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I wished it were longer and I also wish the other Maximals (Cheetor and Rhinox mainly) had more personality and speaking parts. I really enjoyed Scourge, to me, he is what Megatron should have been and I wish they didn't waste Galvatron's appearance in the Bayverse. Overall, I walked out of theatre excited, even my 76 year old mother enjoyed the movie as well. I hated the feeling I had walking out of The Last Knight! Mirage and Scourge were my favorites!
I’m glad they did the fake-outs because it gives them more time to flesh out those characters in the sequels and if they ever decide to kill them off, we as an audience would be more attached therefore the death hitting harder.
i loved it when Noa totally threatened Mirage that he was gonna kick his ass if he didn't protect and bring his brother back to him....i loved that scene
Aside from the action and the characters another thing to praise is the soundtrack. Like it’s a whole vibe and just makes you feel like you’re in the 90s if you feel me?
Loved Airazor, followed by Primal, particularly. Fun to watch on the whole as it exhibits a grand potpourri of various film genres here and there, particularly the archaeological, tactical and sci-fi aspects. It's definitely worth a second watch! Stay rad, bro! 😊
Technically it's not in Bayverse because even if this movie and the next 2 can be in the same timeline, TLK doesn't exist; it'll be wise not to have Bay return to direct. Idk what the second end credits scene is except for an issue cause now anyone who doesn't watch all the credits won't know... Though with how fans are divided....

As a kid who grew up watching the G1 cartoon and comics I really loved the movie as a whole. I didn't like Pablo aka Wheeljack. He looked nothing like Wheeljack nor did he act like Wheeljack. I thought since he appeared in Bumblebee and looked great, they should've kept him looking like that. I loved the plot and Scourge and the Terrorcons were great and the Maximals were amazing especially Optimus Primal. This was the best rendition of Arcee I've ever seen in the movies. I wish Rhinox had more dialogue. I thought the human characters were way better than those in the Michael Bay era. They felt more real and relatable. The little boy Chris has a lot of heart and should be a huge part of the next movie. I really hope they do justice when they tie in the GI Joe & Transformers crossover movie.
This movie was freaking amazing and enjoyed every second of it, I was so happy to actually be excited by a Transformers movie again. Also, just seeing my boy Optimus Primal and the maximals on the big screen in all their glory was just awesome
Saw this last night. I liked it but… 5 years just for a 6/10 film is disappointing Granted I will agree with people saying that this is the best transformers movie, but others use that praise SO passionately it makes me question if the standard for a “good” transformers movie is that low? So what do I think? Good story, good ideas, solid action BUT The story felt RUSHED they didn’t give fights enough time to have any significant impact. The Transformers dialogue while great to see, especially when they’re having a heart to heart with each other is ended quickly. Cinematography is ASS compared to travis Kinght and Micheal Bay. Steven Caple Jr has made some solid films but he LACKS creative vision. There were so many shots that felt so lazy and BLAND. One thing I also noticed is that this film STILL follows the same formula that the Bay films follow, which is “there is an important artefact that we must acquire before it falls into the wrong hands” it’s something I noticed but it doesn’t ruin the film fundamentally. So going back to my score 6/10 might be me being too harsh so my “generous” score would be 7/10 or 6.5/10. Good film but IT NEEDED MORE TIME TO COOK!!

I really enjoyed this movie where it is probably my favorite transformer movie. only real issue i had is that the maximals werent in there robot mode alot and cheetor and rhinox arent really focused on. The human characters are actually really enjoyable. I do hope we see megatron soon and maybe a better live action galvatron and nemesis prime

@@michaelkelly1732 well I just saw an interview with the producer saying the GI Joe characters will be in the movie but it will still be a transformers movie, the transformers as the main center of attention and they will be giving the maximals more spotlight in this one, the GI joe characters wont steal the spotlight or anything apparently they will be more so adding firepower to the next threat which would probably be megatron, Im fine with that if they can do it right. If rise of the beasts does good then we will get the same vibe as the marvel movies, all these movies will apparently lead up to an endgame type movie with unicron fighting primus which im hype for

I definitely enjoyed this film very much. The cinematography is so good, action packed on the last scene. Would want the MC to do more unexpected shouting if saw new transformer, for example the scene where Primal came out of nowhere in the jungle and Diaz didn't even get scared or anything. Felt like he knew about it... The first fight is really great as Diaz was in character with the screaming and stuff. Anyway the film is must watch! Enjoyed it!
Watched it 3 weeks ago. 8/10 I didn’t have much of an issue with the first 5 movies being 2hrs~ long, but it was definitely refreshing to see a shorter concise film.
Just saying…, *spoilers* and like a rag tag group of autobots trying to hunt down decepticons would be so cool. Exactly what I wanted from NEST if it was written correctly.

The only problems I have is the pacing I wish it was a tad bit slower I loved it over all just wanted more from the maxamals and arcee and others Loved the G1 visuals hoping to see a bigger story with the bots Mirages alt mode should have been different only one bot has that one aka jazz but just a minor complaint

Ayoooo.... That joint was 🔥🔥🔥 90's soundtrack was Dope. A couple of corny lines towards the end, however a Very Solid come Back for the Transformers 8.0 for me.
I’m still hyped for the movie, but now I’m more hyped because there In Fortnite so I can’t wait to see the movie, the only downside is I will be out of town for two weeks 🙂
You got that right bro, all the human characters from the previous Bay films were retarted. But in ROTB, the flow was pretty good. The human and robot interactions were well balanced. No garbage one-liners.
(SPOILER) They didn't need to change Wheeljack's design. They design him as a nerd/tech guy but all he did was saying some goofy line, getting in a couple of fight/pointing guns, running, and driving. He didn't even made that gadget for Noah, it was Mirage. He better off being a lonely warrior that later gets reunited with the autobot. But still a fun overall movie with great action scene and tracks/scoring. 7.5/10 for me.

The 2 problems I have with this movie is the 1st mid credit scene and the Optimus design, I’d much rather have the dark of the moon design for Optimus, kinda like how Bee looks like he did at the start of Transformers 2007
It was good I enjoyed it it was a good summer blockbuster and I think it's a good start to something new. I must say I'm not too happy with a Transformers crossover with GI Joe though I want to get away from humans not add to it. We had enough military with the Bay movies and have not been too impressed with the recent GI Joe movies so I'm a little worried but that's just me I'm sure some want a cross over, see what happens

So I kinda do question if Charlie, and Noah are ok because the movies focuse on G1, like you feel like Cade wasn't a liget abi investor vs Noah's knowledge? Also is the balance between transformers and humans there. I am looking forward to figuring out what has humans as "ok" in this movie. Everyone will have a different idea of this, but more people are saying humans are ok. Prob a simple no military which while I like, I understand how it got old. I feel like most TF is the same even on TV. So I think it's something else that'll vary by fan. I have found out my fear is confirmed; 16 transformers not including Unicron, do not much character development, personality and lines. 6 seems like the good number. From what I know & reviews, I feel like this says fans want a new director and all silver enemies isn't great ( duh) now add the disgusting debates. Just wish Hasbro/ Paramount did better to give more fans what they want. How many times are you going to watch the movie? Oh I forgot to add how I think critics just hate TF. I know there's BB, but many fans say it's like E.T. meets Iron Giant and then look at the other TF movies..... Ok I'm done.
I dont blame this film is a 7/10 for me and they rushed throughout every scene without giving lore, history, or even continuity since now (spoiler alert) they're making a collab with gi joe like WTF 😂 So technically this film is neither a prequel or a rebooted franchise but a crossover film that shares no connection which the studios didn't put much effort into the films plot and character's development. But hopefully they create an extended or director cut that make film have more purpose and meaning.

More like this and a chance for Rhinox to get to shine. I still headcanon that Pablo is some other bot "trying to keep Wheeljack's name alive" like Minimus Ambus did in the comics for Magnus, but over all it was a solid sequel to Bee, I felt. And I agree, the humans were solid and interesting, unlike the sandpaper that was the human companions of films past pre-Bee.
i liked this movie, but i wish they didn’t kill scourge off. i think it would have been better if he somehow escaped back to Unicron. (if this were to happen) i think Unicron would have probably trapped him or imprisoned him within himself. & In the next movie, scourge would somehow escape his imprisonment, and gain his soul back. But eventually die probably mid movie of the next transformers movie as a secondary antagonist. But an antagonist on his own. Kind of like how Age of Extinction was set up as the 2 main enemy transformers were Galvatron and Lockdown.
I liked this movie, but I would've liked if the whole entire movie featured the maximals vs the terracons. That opening scene set it up perfectly, and I felt like they completely fumbled it and missed that opportunity. They only converted to robot form once, (minus Airazor unfortunately), and we barely got a good look at them. Than they were back in beast mode again 😂. The ending post credits scene could've been the predacons coming to earth setting up Transformers: Beast Wars!! Liked it, but overall disappointed
I dunno, Optimus just... Didn't feel right to me in this movie. Its the whole premeditation on Killing scurge thing that bothers me a lot. Instead wanting to stop scurge and the terricons from destroying the planet, and his family, he specifically wants to KILL them, and says so multiple times. Usually, Optimus just does what needs to be done. And if killing someone is the only way, then he'll do it. He doesn't take joy or pride in it, it was just what he had to do. So yeah, a lot of those throw away lines really bothered me, ESPECIALLY the "He was mine" after primal kills battletrap. Its just not the "strong enough to he gentle" hero I know.
... Oh yeah, I couldn't (for the life of me) understand why Cade was out of breath & breathing heavily in every other scene... Drives me crazy every time I watch them. 😅

This version of Wheeljack should have just been Beachcomber really, his personality is far closer to Beachcomber's.

I liked it but…
5 years just for a 6/10 film is disappointing
Granted I will agree with people saying that this is the best transformers movie, but others use that praise SO passionately it makes me question if the standard for a “good” transformers movie is that low?
So what do I think?
Good story, good ideas, solid action
BUT
The story felt RUSHED they didn’t give fights enough time to have any significant impact. The Transformers dialogue while great to see, especially when they’re having a heart to heart with each other is ended quickly.
Cinematography is ASS compared to travis Kinght and Micheal Bay. Steven Caple Jr has made some solid films but he LACKS creative vision. There were so many shots that felt so lazy and BLAND. One thing I also noticed is that this film STILL follows the same formula that the Bay films follow, which is “there is an important artefact that we must acquire before it falls into the wrong hands” it’s something I noticed but it doesn’t ruin the film fundamentally.
So going back to my score 6/10 might be me being too harsh so my “generous” score would be 7/10 or 6.5/10. Good film but IT NEEDED MORE TIME TO COOK!!
Finally someone giving an accurate review. People are acting like this movie is the second coming of christ.

It’s just that I know paramount can do way better. Granted I did say I liked the movie but it’s FAR from a 10/10. Unlike most people I can dissect films without hype blinding me.
I really enjoyed this movie where it is probably my favorite transformer movie. only real issue i had is that the maximals werent in there robot mode alot and cheetor and rhinox arent really focused on. The human characters are actually really enjoyable. I do hope we see megatron soon and maybe a better live action galvatron and nemesis prime
forreal it has so much potential I loved this movie the good definitely outweighed the bad, honestly Im kinda mad abt the
GI-Joe thing though, maybe later on they couldve done a multiverse crossover but it feels so forced/too early and we want a movie about the transformers not them. The whole autobots teaming up with human military is so ugh to me, steven caple wanted this to be a unicron trilogy, but the producers have money on mind mainly..I hope they scratch the GI Joe garbage completely after this next cybertron film and don’t mess this up.
@Goziah i completely agree as a transformers fan we finally got transformers movie about transformers and the human charscters we got were actually likeable. The GI-JOE thing is a bit new to me ive heard of them before but dont know much. But i do know there a human strike team but if unicron is going to be the the big bad for the next 2 films we should only be dealing with cons from now on until we get unicorn to transform
@@michaelkelly1732 well I just saw an interview with the producer saying the GI Joe characters will be in the movie but it will still be a transformers movie, the transformers as the main center of attention and they will be giving the maximals more spotlight in this one, the GI joe characters wont steal the spotlight or anything apparently they will be more so adding firepower to the next threat which would probably be megatron, Im fine with that if they can do it right. If rise of the beasts does good then we will get the same vibe as the marvel movies, all these movies will apparently lead up to an endgame type movie with unicron fighting primus which im hype for

I actually on second viewing appreciate the buildup to the robot modes of the maximals
I definitely enjoyed this film very much. The cinematography is so good, action packed on the last scene. Would want the MC to do more unexpected shouting if saw new transformer, for example the scene where Primal came out of nowhere in the jungle and Diaz didn't even get scared or anything. Felt like he knew about it... The first fight is really great as Diaz was in character with the screaming and stuff. Anyway the film is must watch! Enjoyed it!
Not everybody reacts to something crazy with screams, he’d already seen the other robots so it makes sense he didn’t just start screaming

I didn’t have much of an issue with the first 5 movies being 2hrs~ long, but it was definitely refreshing to see a shorter concise film.
Just saying…, *spoilers* and like a rag tag group of autobots trying to hunt down decepticons would be so cool. Exactly what I wanted from NEST if it was written correctly.
At the very least I love the "less is more" as far as the bot designs

I just watched it, wasn't really what I wanted but it's cool. Humans were great, Terrorcons were great, Autobots were lacking aside from Mirage.
Yeah, i was kinda disapointed and very confused at some points in the movie, like mirage just turning into random things or battletrap being extremely forgetable

The only problems I have is the pacing I wish it was a tad bit slower
I loved it over all just wanted more from the maxamals and arcee and others
Loved the G1 visuals hoping to see a bigger story with the bots
Mirages alt mode should have been different only one bot has that one aka jazz but just a minor complaint
I watched and I cried like a kid and enjoy like a best time of my life and on and on and on ❤❤❤❤ 10/10

Bro I just came back from watching this movie and I am in love with this film, best movie of they year so far and maybe of the year it’s that good, I finally got satisfied with a transformers movie

You got that right bro, all the human characters from the previous Bay films were retarted. But in ROTB, the flow was pretty good. The human and robot interactions were well balanced. No garbage one-liners.

They didn't need to change Wheeljack's design. They design him as a nerd/tech guy but all he did was saying some goofy line, getting in a couple of fight/pointing guns, running, and driving. He didn't even made that gadget for Noah, it was Mirage. He better off being a lonely warrior that later gets reunited with the autobot. But still a fun overall movie with great action scene and tracks/scoring. 7.5/10 for me.

screw the critics and rotten tomatoes. im a huge transformers geek and i cannot wait to see this movie. Unicron looks fucking incredible. i still think scourge should've been nemesis prime lol. had to edit my comment: saw it today and loved it. the opening scene was epic. i like how Unicron was a threat throughout the entire movie and not just a one-off sub plot in the story. still a dope movie 8/10 for me
My favorite part was how the Maximals were in it for like 10 seconds (I don't think Rhinox even had a single line, Cheetor spoke maybe 3 times).

I’m biased because i was hyped for the movie and wanted it to succeed but the _whole_ theater seemed to enjoy it and the energy of people after just seemed excited
The 2 problems I have with this movie is the 1st mid credit scene and the Optimus design, I’d much rather have the dark of the moon design for Optimus, kinda like how Bee looks like he did at the start of Transformers 2007

It was good I enjoyed it it was a good summer blockbuster and I think it's a good start to something new. I must say I'm not too happy with a Transformers crossover with GI Joe though I want to get away from humans not add to it. We had enough military with the Bay movies and have not been too impressed with the recent GI Joe movies so I'm a little worried but that's just me I'm sure some want a cross over, see what happens

Micheal bay & Steven Spielberg are credited as producers for this film.. thus 200 million dollar budget. The writers did due diligence of making of canon. The GI joe set-up🤌🏾... the autobots sacrifice for one another🥹.

So at this point I feel like I better wait until the movie is on demand. I was hyped at first, a little displeased timeline 1 ( Bayverse for 1-5) is dead, but all the comments & arguing from fans ruined the joy. Ok I'll just sit on the sidelines....er mostly as I'm still commenting on this video 😆.
I hate how suddenly ( like ts2,3?) Fans are like humans with the Autobots is a brand new concept. So I kinda do question if Charlie, and Noah are ok because the movies focuse on G1, like you feel like Cade wasn't a liget abi investor vs Noah's knowledge? Also is the balance between transformers and humans there. I am looking forward to figuring out what has humans as "ok" in this movie. Everyone will have a different idea of this, but more people are saying humans are ok. Prob a simple no military which while I like, I understand how it got old.
I feel like most TF is the same even on TV. So I think it's something else that'll vary by fan. I have found out my fear is confirmed; 16 transformers not including Unicron, do not much character development, personality and lines. 6 seems like the good number.
From what I know & reviews, I feel like this says fans want a new director and all silver enemies isn't great ( duh) now add the disgusting debates. Just wish Hasbro/ Paramount did better to give more fans what they want. How many times are you going to watch the movie?
Oh I forgot to add how I think critics just hate TF. I know there's BB, but many fans say it's like E.T. meets Iron Giant and then look at the other TF movies..... Ok I'm done.

I dont blame this film is a 7/10 for me and they rushed throughout every scene without giving lore, history, or even continuity since now (spoiler alert) they're making a collab with gi joe like WTF 😂
So technically this film is neither a prequel or a rebooted franchise but a crossover film that shares no connection which the studios didn't put much effort into the films plot and character's development.
But hopefully they create an extended or director cut that make film have more purpose and meaning.
@@reptilo7099 I don't know much about G.I. Joe but from what I know, they pretty much did a collab with the N.E.S.T. idea except no one was like a character in G.I. Joe. The (possible) only difference would be adding a villain from G.I. Joe and specific characters 🤔 IDK and I'm at the point of not caring. All I see is nonstop arguing and debating.

I still headcanon that Pablo is some other bot "trying to keep Wheeljack's name alive" like Minimus Ambus did in the comics for Magnus, but over all it was a solid sequel to Bee, I felt.
And I agree, the humans were solid and interesting, unlike the sandpaper that was the human companions of films past pre-Bee.

i think it would have been better if he somehow escaped back to Unicron.

i think Unicron would have probably trapped him or imprisoned him within himself.
& In the next movie, scourge would somehow escape his imprisonment, and gain his soul back. But eventually die probably mid movie of the next transformers movie as a secondary antagonist. But an antagonist on his own. Kind of like how Age of Extinction was set up as the 2 main enemy transformers were Galvatron and Lockdown.
It was great loved it. Can’t wait to see what they going to do after this.
I bet this movie is gonna be better than Revenge of the Fallen, Age of Extinction, and The Last Knight.

I liked this movie, but I would've liked if the whole entire movie featured the maximals vs the terracons. That opening scene set it up perfectly, and I felt like they completely fumbled it and missed that opportunity. They only converted to robot form once, (minus Airazor unfortunately), and we barely got a good look at them. Than they were back in beast mode again 😂. The ending post credits scene could've been the predacons coming to earth setting up Transformers: Beast Wars!! Liked it, but overall disappointed

My expectations were too high
I came back from seeing the film yesterday. Besides a few action sequences and Scourge, there's something off about this movie
I dunno, Optimus just... Didn't feel right to me in this movie. Its the whole premeditation on Killing scurge thing that bothers me a lot. Instead wanting to stop scurge and the terricons from destroying the planet, and his family, he specifically wants to KILL them, and says so multiple times.
Usually, Optimus just does what needs to be done. And if killing someone is the only way, then he'll do it. He doesn't take joy or pride in it, it was just what he had to do.
So yeah, a lot of those throw away lines really bothered me, ESPECIALLY the "He was mine" after primal kills battletrap. Its just not the "strong enough to he gentle" hero I know.
I was just disappointed when Bumblebee didn’t get his voice back :(

It's a new universe. I kinda want to see Megatron get his own movie or heavy story. Kinda like how magneto was done in first class
and how the F would those Trees handle the weight of Optimus Primal Swingging around it like OK!
... Oh yeah, I couldn't (for the life of me) understand why Cade was out of breath & breathing heavily in every other scene... Drives me crazy every time I watch them. 😅
