Hello! This type of increase can be used in most places you can use standard increase stitches (like m1R or m1L, lifted increases, or kfb). We use it in our Ancient Stitch Scarf pattern (www.purlsoho.com/create/2015/09/11/ancient-stitch-scarf/)!

Question please: Where would you use this type of increase? If I'm working on a yoke pullover in the round, could I use this increase?

Hello! This type of increase can be used in most places you can use standard increase stitches (like m1R or m1L, lifted increases, or kfb). You can absolutely use this type of increase in the yoke of a pullover knit in the round.
