You make it look so easy!!! I’ve got 3 of your DIY leis and another coming. I’ll be working on them soon. 1 for my son’s graduation and 3 for my dad’s funeral. TY for making these leis simple to make.
Oh... Helloooo... I remember you... any time if you have questions, just email or message me. I'll be happy to help. I hope you received your ribbons soon.
Yes, you can. But the order needs to be the same. One row always 5 petals, and the order of the color is always color 1, 2 and 3. I hope you understand. But, yes you can. You'll make a beautiful lei. Thank you for watching.
Hi. This lei is very beautiful. I am trying to make it. However I cannot find the ombre ribbon anywhere. Is there anything you can recommend to replace it?
I think if you change with 1/4" green satin with gold edge, it will be pretty, too. Try to choose a little bit darker green than the petals. You'll make a beautiful lei. Thank you for watching. 🌸🌼
The thread I use is from Coats & Clark, upholstery thread, so it's stronger. Please watch my other video 'how to get started' ua-cam.com/video/sxBdP_fH99Y/v-deo.html
This is such a beautiful lei. You make it looks so easy and smooth. I’m trying to make this but my swirls aren’t defined, I think I’ve gone wrong somewhere.
Hello Aunty! I love your videos and love the quality. My leis always unravel and never keep the same spiral effect. Is there any tip you can give to help combat this? Maybe it is my thread or the way I prepare my petals. Mahalo!
Oh yes... it is like that! While making this kind of lei, we always have to arrange the petals again and again. Don't worry too much while making it, until the end then we arrange the petals once again, make sure they are tight and then lock stitch, and it will stay, we just need to roll the lei a little bit to the right/left. Sometimes, pssttt... this is a trick, I glue gun it at few parts of the lei 🥴. Have a wonderful day and thank you for watching.
@momslittlethings8910 ahh, no wonder mine too. Never seems to line up right. And my ribbons don't stick together after I burn the ends. Your lei are so beautiful.
This one is a tough one. I can say maybe about 12 hours. It took me 3-4 days during my relax time to make this one. But it's so pretty, and actually simple to make, just one fold, same fold all petals. 🌸🌼😍
For this lei I used the yellow ribbon double faced, and the green is single faced. I actually used what I have that time, but I think single faced ribbon is pretty, because the different tone shades makes the lei pretty. Thank you for watching. Let me know if you have questions, ok 🌸🌼.
I finally just finished one, it took me over 2 weeks, several hours per day...this one took sooo long! Definitely a labor of love. How long does this one take you?
I'm glad you finished it!! I also do my lei little by little. Like the new one (purple plumeria with kukui nuts), I did one section at a time. It took me 3-4 days. For this yellow Calla Lily maybe take me 1 week. Ahh... I hope you enjoy making the lei. Love from me 🌼🌸

Can you do three different main colors for the flowers with this technique?
Yes, you can. But the order needs to be the same. One row always 5 petals, and the order of the color is always color 1, 2 and 3. I hope you understand. But, yes you can. You'll make a beautiful lei. Thank you for watching.
How do you add the ribbon and bead to the end you started with?

Your lei are beautiful! I'm attempting this for my fiancé's upcoming birthday. Where do you get your ombre green ribbon?
Hello, I got my green ombre from uimauamau.com/collections/weavon.
Choose 3/16" size. Let me know if you need help making the lie, ok.
