Sorry for late reply. I have to ask my friend who usually make with 5/8" ribbon. She said we need about 6 yards each color to make 40"-42" lei. We've never made with 7/8", but I assume 6.5 yards will be sufficient. I hope this helps. Thank you very much.

Hello, for the pink lei 3" hot pink satin - 140 pieces 3" pink satin - 70 pieces 3" ivory satin -70 pieces 2.75" hot pink sheer - 56 pieces 3.125" (from point to point) green satin - 42/45 pieces 3.125" (from point to point) green ombre - 42/45 pieces Put 2 or 3 more green leaves at the beginning and at the end of the lei. This is for 14 purple sections and 15 green sections. Please start with green section first. If there are more ribbons left I think you can make another section. Usually the sheer ribbon called organza ribbon. I hope you can get it at Bangalore. The thread I used is upholstery thread. You can use thread for jeans also. They are stronger. Hello, hmm... there is no special trick, just make sure the petals facing up (the same direction) even they are left and right. Then, twist the stitches and place the petals clockwise. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

Do you mean 'why'? I sealed the edges so the ribbon is not running, so it looks more neat. I. hope I answered your question.

Just remember always sew from the bottom up, or if you put the red ribbon in the bottom, always sew the red ribbon and up. Then, make sure when the fold formed the green ribbon is up. I hope this helps. Merry Christmas !! Love from me 😘🌸🌼

I’ll make a video about this later. But you don’t have to worry about making the petals close, the purpose is to seal/burn the edges so the thread/ribbons not running, so it looks neat.
