this was one of their "not best days". but i disagree with other people saying dinah was the most consistent member of the group. she was a hot mess on 7/27 promotion and tour.
yesss, i love her and she's amazing but dinah was not consistent. her breath control during the reflection and 7/27 eras... we harmonizers even created a whole ass narrative saying she had asthma to kind of justify it lmao
@@sobaito in terms of agility, I must say Dinah is the most consistent. but performances in general, Camila takes the cake with her breath control and amazing stage presence.
I have to disagree here. She was very off during their promotional stuff especially earlier in 2016 but she NAILED the 7/27 tour every single show. Breath control was great, energy great, and the only member to not lip sync a single note. I think because she seemed to get nervous and breathy on most of their television performances that year (BGT, BBMAs, Kelly & Michael, etc) that people remember her as constantly struggling, but when I go back and watch the tour videos she was actually killing it.
@@sobaito she does have asthma. There are literally videos of her saying she had to leave to go use her inhaler and then using said inhaler. Nobody made that up. Some of the other girls’ fans just started randomly saying it was a lie bc they didn’t like how people praised her voice over the others because as much as ppl think 5H hated each other, their fans were the ones that actually did lol. What people don’t remember is she was instructed to change how she sings by their label during the 7/27 recording if she didn’t want to get left off most of their songs. That’s why she sounded lighter and thinner for the next few years. If you followed her post-5H, she’s talked about it and having to learn how to sing with her old voice all over again, among other lowkey horror stories from when she was in the group.
@@iosashes2087 I'm not in any way against Dinah, in fact I agree she's the best vocalist in the group and she's definetely one of the best performers. Yes, she delivered great vocals on the tour and showcased an insane growth from her reflection and better together performances, but during tv promotion she was constantly stuggling with her breath (which is normal considering the tight schedule the girls have with almost no rest). That's why I said she was off during the 7/27 era, because although she was great on tour, on the broadcasted performances and the award shows ones she wasn't at her best. I also know the producers told Dinah to "baby up" her voice because it was too soulful, which ended up in her not singing in Boss and Sledgehammer (and half of Reflection), and the many other horrible experiences that she and the girls had to go through when they were in 5h. About the inhaler I've also believed it was from when she got bronchitis back in the day (which caused her to have breath control issues at that time), but everyone started to say she had asthma and I sort of run with it, but I never knew if it was actually true or a made up story from that. I LOVE DINAH, and I still support her to this day, I'm hoping she drops some new music soon because I love her entire repertoire, my faves being Heard it all before, 1501 and Missed a spot. Anyways this wasn't intended to be a hate comment in anyway, I love and support the 5 of them and it's undeniable that Dinah was the one who slayed this performance (and many more)
He shows us the kpop girl groups like we were supposed to be impressed like most of them except mamamoo had legit speak sing and still was pitchy like little mix and mamamoo are the standard
One thing that annoyed me when fifth harmony would do live performances is the little runs Camila would do idk why but it just irked me. Don't get me wrong tho in some songs it fit the tone and sounded good but in others it was needed at all. The one that I dislike the most for some random reason is the note the she would do in the beginning of 'Like Mariah' whenever they would perform it.
@@tajsimms8976 not true. Most people who didn’t follow the group very closely have not seen the majority of their performances. People cherry-picking videos that highlight them in a negative way isn’t actually a reflection of the group as a whole.

Mamamoo and Red Velvet weren't lip syncing in that video the same applies to Dream Catcher. Not all Kpop groups lip sync all the time. Especially at concerts (the RV clip was from a concert)

Been a little heavy handed on the 5H criticism lately but you gave Dinah her flowers so I’ll allow it lol. One thing I’ll say about Fifth Harmony was that you had to be following them closely to really appreciate them as a concept. Those girls’ main goal was for their fans to have FUN (and we did). Comparing them to K-pop groups, Little Mix, DC, etc doesn’t really work because that’s not what they were and not what they tried to be, and that’s why a lot of the criticism is odd and overly harsh. I often think about what Simon Cowell said almost everytime someone asked him to describe the girls and the main thing he always said was they were very “excitable”. And I think that’s reflected in a lot of their performances especially when they were younger (most of them are 17-18 here). They’d get very excited during bigger performances and sometimes that was good and sometimes it wasn’t. Overall for this performance, I think Ally and Lauren sound fine/good in general, but not their personal best. Camila has a lot of ease and creativity, but she’d sound better if she knew when to dial it down. Self awareness is key.
@@ndndndbdndnd3318 I never said they shouldn’t be. The only issue with 5H is people tend to only highlight their worst vocal moments while highlighting other groups’ best. If we’re comparing good to good and bad to bad, that’s a different story.
@@ndndndbdndnd3318 ok but this man brought up groups like itzy nmixx and dream catcher and red velvet when the 5h girls are clearing every single girl in all those groups minus Wendy and maybe Lily plus if we can it's not hard to find bad vocal clips of RV and itzy especially.

Was that Kpop compersion really necessary tho? I know your a big Kpop stan but you should know that western Boygroups and Girlgroups have been doing great Singing while Dancing since Decades now long before Kpop. And Fifth Harmony have been know for being pretty bad performers for quiet a time to.
@@jesusgarcia5197 not really, when doing complex choreos you’re going to sound breathy, shallow, or shouty it’d be impossible not to. Sure some groups aren’t the best vocally but there’s literally hundreds of Kpop groups out there.

And don't say little mix is better until you see 5h real potential on vocals
Dinah is and will always be the main slayer.
I mean you're indirectly saying 5h is worst vocal group ever.always down taking them
Love the shameless plug for kpop haha nice singing in the end btw
this was one of their "not best days". but i disagree with other people saying dinah was the most consistent member of the group. she was a hot mess on 7/27 promotion and tour.
yesss, i love her and she's amazing but dinah was not consistent. her breath control during the reflection and 7/27 eras... we harmonizers even created a whole ass narrative saying she had asthma to kind of justify it lmao
Anyways this wasn't intended to be a hate comment in anyway, I love and support the 5 of them and it's undeniable that Dinah was the one who slayed this performance (and many more)
Each one of them tried to do their own thing. But...they might as well have done...nothing. 😬
He shows us the kpop girl groups like we were supposed to be impressed like most of them except mamamoo had legit speak sing and still was pitchy like little mix and mamamoo are the standard
What are your thoughts on their Silent Night Shazam Session Performance?
The only good Christmas performance they did was when they sung Sleigh Ride at Disney after Camila left
Camilla could've saved that baby goat voice to her self. No hate just criticism.
The SLAY at the end though 😍
Oh wow, thank you!😇
One thing that annoyed me when fifth harmony would do live performances is the little runs Camila would do idk why but it just irked me. Don't get me wrong tho in some songs it fit the tone and sounded good but in others it was needed at all. The one that I dislike the most for some random reason is the note the she would do in the beginning of 'Like Mariah' whenever they would perform it.
It like you only highligh bad fifth harmony vocals.
Because they're not the strongest live vocalist
@@daytonsouthall1137 they literally have tons of examples of strong live vocals. People just choose the messier performances to highlight.
@@iosashes2087 they have very few
@@tajsimms8976 not true. Most people who didn’t follow the group very closely have not seen the majority of their performances. People cherry-picking videos that highlight them in a negative way isn’t actually a reflection of the group as a whole.
@@iosashes2087 if you have to follow them super close then they don’t have many videos
It’s just hard to take your critiques seriously when you constantly make comparisons to k pop groups who lip sync aloooooott as you can see in the videos you shared
I will never understand the comparisons lol. Especially when it comes to live vocals
Mamamoo and Red Velvet weren't lip syncing in that video the same applies to Dream Catcher. Not all Kpop groups lip sync all the time. Especially at concerts (the RV clip was from a concert)
@@xylypotatohead3947 but they do use backtrack a lot .only mamamoo and Wendy comes toe to toe against 5h dreamcatcher don't stand a chance
Why is he always dragging 5H. They have so many amazing performances
*"i love camila's old voice"*
camila's old voice:
Compare this to their Disney world Christmas performance pls 😭
I mean Mamamoo kills it everytime
Camila didn't even do bad, she was the second best in this performance but you seem to be anti Camila and too into Dinah's ass lol.
Can you like appreciate 5h vocals for once although this is not their best vocal moments but you heavily criticizing and comparing 5h to kpop groups who use back track to hide their breathe and shakyness and lipsyncs somuch.
We would take 5h natural shaky voice than kpop back track noise.and would you criticize if it was little mix or other grps ? You never gave 5h their flowers for their amazing vocals you always highlighting their worst vocal moments when their are ton of great 5h vocal moments why didn't you make videos about them and appreciate them.5h is amazing vocal grp Ally is proficient vocalist while no one in little mix is proficient.dinah and ally are above average while only perrie is above average in little mix .
Little Mix had wayyyyy better vocals than Fifth Harmony ever did.. yes they did have good performances but they weren’t a good group and their vocals were highly inconsistent. Vocally as a whole 5H wasn’t good unless they weren’t moving around a lot even then that was questionable. I agree with the Kpop statement although alot of them are regarded as some of the greatest vocalist there are right now. These girls had hella potential and could have been one of the greatest groups Ever but sadly they were mismanaged and underwhelming/inconsistent performers and singers. They all should have been soloists
@@krisrose6329 as a group little mix had amazing vocals with great harmonisation but 5h as a group never blended well with harmonies and also this bias creditor highlights 5h bad vocals and never appreciated 5h vocals even little mix had many vocals fails but he never highlighted them according to their vocal techniques 5h is better than little mix because there vocal ranking are
Ally ( proficient)
Dinah / perrie ( above average)
Lauren ( average to above average)
Jade ( average)
Leigh Anne ( average)
Jesy / camilla ( average)
Normani ( weak )
Ally has best mix and techniques out of all the girls in little mix and 5h.have well developed head voice and consistent resonance
Perrie regressed and lost sense of resonance and stability
Dinah improved her Lows have developed head voice best agility among
All of little mix and 5h girls and carry resonance
Jade has no head voice support and strains too much In 5th octave and don't carry any resonance even lauren is one tier above her .

@@anjalitamang6511 and I think for the time that they were both groups LITTLE MIX was better but they’ve all improved and declined over the years so that’s not the case anymore
may you do a video focusing on Dinah Jane?
But they’re singers so obviously bad vocals are critiqued
@@ndndndbdndnd3318 I never said they shouldn’t be. The only issue with 5H is people tend to only highlight their worst vocal moments while highlighting other groups’ best. If we’re comparing good to good and bad to bad, that’s a different story.
@@ndndndbdndnd3318 ok but this man brought up groups like itzy nmixx and dream catcher and red velvet when the 5h girls are clearing every single girl in all those groups minus Wendy and maybe Lily plus if we can it's not hard to find bad vocal clips of RV and itzy especially.
Also kpop groups are extremely manufactured and inorganic they practically have to perform how they do because it's so competitive
@@RichRichification Ally and Dinah are better than lily the only would be Wendy, and both Ally and Dinah are equal to her.
all of their performances were chaotic, confusing and awkward. let's state the truth
3:51 they're barely singing along with a super loud backtrack though. it's realy not comparable to raw live vocals sorry
There will ever be a video showing love to these ladies? It's been like 7 years since they don't even exist anymore, I don't understand the point. Nice video tho
when it's a group project but the grading is individual:
Ig just stan little mix!!!!!!
oh wow, this is a Mess mess
3:37 oh thank you!
Dinah reminds me of Leona, Ally reminds me of Nicole, Lauren reminds me of Ariana (esp in tone), Even Normani here reminds me of another singer but I can't put my finger on it. This was so messy as a whole haha mostly on Camilla's part.
I always felt like they were constantly trying to out sing and dance each other and it shows on stage they always looked like they were soloist collaborating instead of a group performing

It's Christmas. Let's go home.

Can you react to the Girl Group of sisters named Cimorelli. They have unreal Harmonies. It’s mind blowing. You should react to their acapella covers from back in the days
3:17 I'd take those "shaky" vocals over any k pop singer any day.
You’re racism is showing hun
And Kpop singers train since birth
@@DeeDeeDeeeee Nah they just suck at singing live for the most part.
@@jesusgarcia5197 not really, when doing complex choreos you’re going to sound breathy, shallow, or shouty it’d be impossible not to. Sure some groups aren’t the best vocally but there’s literally hundreds of Kpop groups out there.
@@DeeDeeDeeeee There are only a handful of kpop groups out there that are displaying actually difficult choreography that would be excusable for having mid vocals live. Fifth Harmony did pretty good here overall for actually singing live without a playback. Not to mention it's extremely difficult to open up a song Acapella.
Listen I've enjoyed fifth harmony's music but when they perform I cringe of embarrassment. Seriously Camila is the worst person to be in a group with, she wanted her moments each and every time with her messy riffs and runs and annoying chipmunk voice. They all didn't sing well live most times but Dinah and Ally were pretty decent. They had no business being in a group together... zero chemistry.
each of them is great in their own way, but in this performance it feels like they’re all just trying to out-sing each other.

One of my biggest gripes with Camilla is her vowel placement. Camilla is 100% a stylistic singer which is fine but damn those vowels are not helping her voice
