    LiftOFF, first off thank you! I’m brand new to the DJ world and brand new to the Inpulse T7, and I’ve searched through plenty of videos trying to understand the basics….but you were the only one to explain the basics and functionality in basic understandable terms. Seriously, it’s appreciated. The frustration of trying to simply figure out how to get a track started and get output through the software was a battle in itself, but playing with the fx and not knowing how to turn them back off was a headache. This video helped a lot! 🤜🏾 you gained a sub.

    Hercules knocked it out of the park with this controller. The only gripe is that it doesn't unlock the pro version of Serato. For $700, I think Serato Pro should be unlocked.

    • @DJLiftOFF

      Yeaaa, it’d be nice for sure. I luckily bought serato way back in like 2016.

      If you were buying a £1000+ controller I would agree. However, Serato Pro is £250 which would effectively make the T7 £350 (convert $$$ if you're not in the UK).

      @@alicksasylum I agree with you somewhat but being that you can get the flx6 with serato pro that kinda defeats your argument. I'd even say that the t7 is a better controller.

    This looks quite dope, but I did watch another video of a complaint about the controller on how the platters are relatively stiff & wont let you backspin. Have you seen or had any issues with backspins or is there an backspin effect? Or just better off backspinning manually?

    One complain I hear about Hercules controllers all the time is that they don't last longer. I wonder if T7 is also the same or it's built to last longer. I really liked this controller but also scared to buy. And also I can't afford Rev 7 or Rane 1. But I like motorized platters.

    Hi iv'e discovered a bug with the T7 / Serato can anyone else confirm this.
    Switch off anti drift in serato dj software then load the same song in both decks my right deck's tempo become's way slower than the left & i have to increase the tempo to +5 percent to match the same song this doesn't happen in Virtual dj or Djuiced the fix is to leave anti drift on but then you encounter cue drift when you beat juggling iv'e created a ticket with the serato support team about this..

    For anyone having backspin issues, cut out a circle using wax paper. That really helps them spin better, not as good as on a Rane One but way better than stock.

      Welcome! It’s a tough decision because it truly depends on the DJ style. I love the Rane 4 for mixing, it’s really fun to use. Is the belt drive really a big issue that people are complaining about? Im a dj from the turntable era and was thinking about getting back into it just for small gigs and been doing my homework about ddj controllers, I was thinking about the rev 1 until i saw the Hercules t7 because of the old school look 👍🏽please give me your honest opinion about the Hercules t7

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  8 місяців тому

      If you backspin a lot and use it for transitioning heavily, the T7 might not be the “best” option. I really like the T7 because it has all the bells and whistles for a really affordable price and I enjoy scratching on it. I haven’t tested it out on a gig so I can’t comment on the audio output power, but as far as the controller, I like it. Of course there are more expensive controllers that provide a different feel, but there’s no way you’re getting a controller with such great features for anywhere near this price.

    • @ignoranceisnotatrend4669
      @ignoranceisnotatrend4669 Місяць тому

      What do you mean by transitioning? And how is it as far as mixing and blending 🎵 I don't mind being able to scratch in a song but at my age of 52 I value a good mix more than a scratch 😅 let me know your advice on this matter 👍🏽 and how superior is the t7 over the rev1 and is the t7 pretty much a affordable rane 1😅would love to hear your thoughts on my comment 😀

    How does platter movement compare to the rev7?

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  9 місяців тому +1

      A large part of that depends on the slip mats you decide to use but the Rev 7 feels less resistant and more free flowing. Almost a little too free flowing for me in the beginning but I got used to it. The thicker slipmat on the T7 actually feels really good and scratching with it is nice. There’s also an upgrade you can make with the crossfader which will make quick/precise scratching much better

    • @dinosauriojacinto
      @dinosauriojacinto 9 місяців тому

      the large part depend is that rev7 motor is direct drive, so more torque, less spin up time and less delay when you let go the disc from hand. Hercules is belt driven motor, so less torque and important delay for spin up.

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  9 місяців тому

      @@dinosauriojacinto 💯💯
      If you backspin a lot, the belt drive hinders that a tad. And absolutely correct on a tad longer start up time than a direct drive but the T7 starts up really quickly itself.
