Jody, my husband and I have had a husky for 8 years. I've never had a dog like her, so smart! When she was young, she went to the door and asked to go out in the middle of the night, my husband got up to put on his robe and she jumped in bed and stole his spot- she didn't have to go outside at all! She still does it from time to time among other tricks, she's very clever in so many ways.

Cat, dog, ferret, raccoon, wolf, (yes, I've had faithful companions of all those types) ALL just erupt in a happy explosion when they see you again even if it was just a short time apart. That simple joy in being with each other again is astounding, and brings such a wonderful sense of connectedness. Sadly that level of happiness isn't something humans seem to share, but our furry friends understand it all too well. Every video of you and Key, or Jamie and Sherpa makes me remember and miss my friend Tasha as a kid. She was a malamute who loved winter as much as me, and aside from my best friend Shasta who was a wolf, was a staunch companion til she died. All the best to you, Biscuit Lady, and Key, I hope your house hunting comes to an end and finds you in a home as amazing as Jamie and Sherpie have found!
