Xinyi and his health maintaining exercises are in my opinion the most effective ones - they are very close related to the yi Jin jing and therefore perfect to keep a healthy condition. We also don’t want to forget that some pure shaolin systems like the tiger and crane boxing have some excellent Qigong Forms ( Wai Dan Qigong) - that shows masters of that style reached already an age over 90 - fact is that every style that incorporate the principles of shaolin yi Jin jing and xi sui jing can only found in the pure martialart Systems. Thank you very much for your instruction. I have been reading/ studying Xing Yi Quan Xue (Sun Lu Tang) since high school. Coming from a Traditional Okinawan system of Karate this was a mind blowing book. It continues to be as I read and understand more. It is deep. San Ti Shi is an amazing practice that I intend on devoting exclusive time to. I deeply want to get back to the roots of this art, as it was practiced 150 years ago. Not a short order I am sure. I have been reading Sun Lu Tang's Internal Practices' for the same purpose. No direct teacher means slow going, but it is worth digging. Please post more on Xing Yi Quan when you feel moved! Many thanks from Sacramento, Ca.
Thanks to digital media for reconnecting me to this master/sifu whom I met 35 years ago while he was visiting my principal teacher Kuo Lien Ying in SF - overcoming the curse of ego that causes one to forget that is what valuable in favor of trivia !
GREAT video!!! Pretty Please, make a good 20ish minute QiGone set and another video explaining the moves of that workout. Your energy flow is EXACTLY what works for me. Thank you
Very interresting! Espacially your points on Taiji and longevity. It's also my observation that many Taiji Masters only get around 70 years old. Yang Chengfu and Yang Banhou only mid 50ies!!! Also the appearence of Taiji masters in their 70ies is weak and collapsed. Youn can find some videos of external masters in their 80ies or even 90ies who still have more radiance. Maybe Bagua is the most Yin/Yang balanced art. The longevity from Taiji is maybe more a myth. Maybe that Liang also did Tang Lang later is one point that he get over 100? Do you know how much he did train Tang Lang? The whole topic longevity/Taiji would be worth to make a video about.
Ummm...Wu Style Taijiquan masters Ma Yuehliang and his wife Wu Ying-hua lived into their 90's, Wu Tunan lived to be a bit over 100, wang Peisheng lived to his mid 80s William CC Chen is in his mid 80s and still alive, Huang Sheng Shyan lived into his mid 80s...but honestly doing tai chi or martial arts in general aren't guarantees to make someone live late into life. It does not make you immune to poor diet, pandemics or just overall bad genetics...to name a few. It can help for sure, but I know smokers and drinkers who have lived into their 80s and 90s defying all logic.
1 hr on the left 1 hr on the right santi, this will be enough for most people watch the change coming.!! Bruces teaching is top notch👌

awesome video Bruce
I could watch this video 10 times and still not absorb fully what Bruce is saying here.
Thank you for the knowledge....
Thank you so much for this lecture
Your water method is beautiful thing
Thanks Bruce & EA- I think a little standing before the warmups would be better. I had been warming up first.
What Tai chi posture is good for building yang chi?
Any posture. It depends more on your intention than the posture since every posture in Tai Ji is both yin and yang at the same time.
'play guitar'
