No affiliation, but two places on the video I frequent on a regular basis are Suma Resto and Spicy Tattoo Bali. Suma has great food and service, and unlike most tattoo studios in Bali, Spicy only ever work with one customer at any given time, so you are the only focus. Very talented artist, and a spotless studio.

Interesting you say about Suma. It's not one that's ever mentioned on any Facebook pages. Im going to try when im there in Aug. I did notice it wasn't as cheap as others and also has 17% tax

Hi Gary we have watched you for a very long time now.
we have been coming to Bali for over 35yrs but sanur is new for us.
we come in August for 8 nights staying 4 in the swiss bel and 4 nights in the puri satrian could you recommend a few restaraunts for each location for us to visit please
Tapah on the beach not to far from puri santrian is good and also has live music every evening but best to walk down to duyung beach area from puri santrian one of my favorite in sanur at duyung beach is lilla pantai, coco bistro in same area also very good, la playa is also very popular at duyung beach. Patio coffee & eatery is on on jalan cemara not to far from puri santrian serves nice food. Also try daily baguette on jalan danau tamblingan & sala bistro. Swiss bel has now changed to a different hotel, on the beach here i would go to sindhu beach area and soul on the beach & kayumanis are 2 great places. I have not really ate at to many places around the ex swiss bel resort area, oh my thai & mozza appear to be popular in that area.

Hi Gary. Could you advise where I can pick up anlocal sim from in Sanur. Wont have time whilst at the airport as having a transfer included taxi pickup and may take a longtime waiting for the sim.
It does not take so long at the airport. There is a telkomsel shop opposite artasedana supermarket in central sanur, wiana cell on jalan danau tamblingan near sindhu area, i also think there are places inside artasedana selling sim cards. But be very careful from buying from anywhere on the street as they are usually split data packages. I buy my top-up data package online or from indomaret but you need to buy sim card with registration as a tourist. I show the telkomsel opposite artasedana in this video

Gary, Why are you hestitant about the atm’s?
I speak from experience on this i have had my card skimmed here in Bali before when using atm machines located in individual booths now i only ever use atm machines attached to my bank and I have never had a problem. Lot's of card skimming takes place in Bali.
