Lamugine or ZomKom is a popular local drink native to the northern part of Ghana. It is made from Millet and other other spices. It is one of the most healthy drinks made here in Ghana. In this video, Rubabatu a small business owner who makes and sells this spicy millet drink for a living shows us the recipe for making it.

It's sooo tasty, I am also doing it here in Nigeria, more strength to bring more
I like the fact that u give the a step by step process of ur cooking/ food videos. From meeting the the women to the ingredients etc. You are the best 👌🏾
❤️🤗
In Zongo we have Lamunji and we have Hausa Beer. The ginger drink is the Hausa Beer I think, it’s been ages since I had some
I love this healthy yet tasty drink. I learnt rice can also be used as substitute. Thanks for sharing Jas!
please how do u use the rice

❤️❤️
Jasmine you're the first Ghanaian UA-cam I ever watch and I'm at the point of having my own UA-cam channel keep up the good work
Oh then Ajalah Jasmine haha. Interesting to learn things from sellers... Now what did I learn? I learnt when you are done you leave it down for it to settle down and throw the surface away. I thought it's been consumed immediately after straining.
1st stop when I make it to Ghana. Thanks for sharing! 🦄👸🏽
Wohoo
1THING I LOVE ABOUT YOU, U STICK WITH THE PROCESS, MAKES IT INTERESTING 💯👏👏
❤️❤️
That drink looks tasty. Great video! 🤗
It was delicious
Nice 👍🏿 thanks you are the best, J A
This is same way we prepare millet pap in Nigeria but no sugar added unless after making the pap with hot water. If you add hot water into that millet,it will be thick and turn to pap . I never knew that you can drink it raw 😀😀Eweeeehhh........
You can. It also tastes like kunun zaki from northern Nigeria
Wow a lot of work goes into this, may customers locate her all the time cos it's not easy and God bless you too sis Jasmine always going in all for us ❤

The chaff is healthy ooo... despite the spices, you can add some to banku ooo😜👍🏽. Surely don't waste it.
Can be used for so many things...

Ama you do well paa with all what you show us, but my concerns always is the cleaning around where the lady is preparing the drink is okay but where she went to grind the mellet is my trouble, they have to clean and wash the machine please advise them some times. Thanks.
This really looks yummy
It was 🥰
I bought some on campus that one was containing apple
wow great video hun!
Thanks so much
Pls I tried it yesterday and it went bad the next day.
It turned slippery. What could be the cause?
Thanks
Please what is the name of the drink?❤
Can I use blender instead of taking it to the mill
I am sure u can 🥰
The only difference with zonkom n koko is that , with the koko u will mix with hot water , but zonkom u will just add your sweetener straight away. Lamugi drink is made up of fermented rice instead of the millet u use rice for lamugi
So how is the Lamugi drink done please
How many painter of millet did she use?
Well done sis
But you should have carry to the meal for the woman cos you are learning 😊
Do it taste like shake I from America never heard of this?
Don’t know what shake is so not sure x
@@JasmineAmaa a shake is like ice cream in a cup that is drink able
@@cplpcl8565 if u are referring to a milkshake type thing then no it doesn’t 🤗

Nice
Mallet drink: it seems like a lot of work.
How many bottles does she make for a day?
Not sure xx
Did she boil it?
No, she just let it ferment a little
Dari indonesia
Good video
But from the knowledge I have staying in New town since childhood, Lamugine is not made from millet but rather sour tamarind.
However people now make Lamugine with millet rather than sour tamarind
They’ve got three types
Sour tamarind
Rice
Millet
Lol majority use the millet
@@larrysq8937 yes and it is not to be called Lamugine
Definitely a mix of names
Lamujin is made from millet. The drink from sour tamarind is called “Samia”. Lol
@@edithofori8972 The TAMARIND IS THE ENGLISH NAME FOR SAMIA.
👌🙏
So they dont boil it
Nope
🔥🤱👨👩👧👧SUBHANA ALLAAAAA HU ☝🐫
