I’m glad I’m not the only idiot who rips his shorts on the 1120 & 1140! Glass windscreen over the poly is a game changer. Easily pulls a 7cubic meter manure spreader.
Yes, even if I try not to hook my shorts it still happens. After a few years I still love this damn vehicle. Just purchased a L3301 with loader. Gets delivered today - Just adding to my Kubota collection . Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Agree with all you say. Best machine I've had on the farm in 50 years. But our RTV 900 has one very well known and documented weakness. It's gutless up hills, especially with a load. So gutless it can be dangerous. My son stalled on a steep hill and started to slip backwards! He turned into the side of the track and was lucky not to turn the RTV over.
Yes, I love it - is your 900 a gas or diesel? I didn’t get the 900 gas burner for the exact reason you have mentioned. I wanted the power and torque of the diesel. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great week
I just purchased the 2024 RTV-X with the same features as yours, no doors but with LED headlights. They changed the parking break lever. The price has definitely gone up. Thanks for the walk through.
you are very welcome. really happy you purchased one - I promise you will love it. Keep me updated if you have any questions as you go along. Have a great week.
I got the x1140 the 2-4 seater one we love it! We can haul everyone around and work
I love this ride. Will always have one on the farm
When it comes standard with a large raccoon tail I'm buying one!
Hopefully that will be in the next year or two................. Have a great week.
Great Video!! Agree about the headlights
Many, many thanks. I love this machine.
While I agree the LED headlights should be OEM, I took delivery of my X1140 in January and the first thing I did before it even hit the garage was replace the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs. Best $30 accessory possible. Significantly brighter. I got mine off Amazon. I believe they are 880 bulbs. Great review!
Thanks for the feedback. Do you have a link to those bulbs? I would love to order some.
Just wait till you have to plow snow I the dark...they'll cover over and you won't see crap
@@ethansnyder7488 While this is absolutely true I would use a light bar or proper work lights for plowing regardless of OEM or LED headlights. All the snow removal companies around us have extra lighting on their snow rigs. Since snow is only a small fraction of the year the LED headlights are great the other 10 months where we live.
That’s bad ass bro.
Thank you.
6:15. Yes.... I work in shorts a lot too. I lost count how many times I got hung up on the diff lock button. Very disruptive to workflow. Cruising along, in the zone, getting things done, and then snag (and maybe riiiiiip). Mostly a lot of !@$#$%!!!!
Like you, I own the responsibility to be aware of that hazard when dismounting, but at the same time, I do blame the design engineers just a little bit on that one.
Great to know I am not the only one with this problem - ha. lots of ripped shorts. All part of having a farm.. thank you for feedback.
Could you fit a split tennis ball over that?
Or..... Kubota RTV 1100c. Fully enclosed, heat AC, love mine!
I couldn’t afford the fully enclosed. Not cold enough where I am to justify one. I hear they are nice.
@@StewartFarmApiary I can't really afford it either. But we live in Way north. In fact our town is known as the snowiest town in the lower 48. We get a very quick 3-4 months of fantastic weather before it turns freezing *ss cold again. If I was still in Tennessee I may have gotten the Mule (a fantastic option) with no cab and have saved $10k.
Hey! I like camo!! 😡
My RTV is orange. 😁
Good video!
Im not an anti camo guy - just would really have to like it to pay more for it. thanks for the feedback.
I am deciding between a Polaris Ranger 1000 and the Kubota 1120x. I want a workhorse not a recreational vehicle. The latter seems to be the workhouse? Any comments on Polaris?
I looked at all of them. Polaris makes good stuff, but I had to look at long term reliable equipment. The kubota I have is basically a tractor motor and drivetrain. My children will be driving it if I take care of it (which I will ) just like guys that are still using their grandfathers tractors. I don't see a Polaris Ranger around in twenty years - I could be wrong - but I do see lots of kubota around. Im a huge fan of this vehicle. As I said in the video, if it dies tomorrow, I will immediately be getting another one. Be sure to get vents on your windshield. Plastic top is nice also.
What is the red thing in the cab that you snag your shorts on?
Differential lock. As I said, its not a Kubota issue, but more of just me. I wear longer shorts here in the south and they get me everytime.
Thank you for the feedback.
The noise doesn't bother me. How much vibration from the diesel engine do you feel while sitting on the seat? Because of my back, that may be a deciding factor.
Honestly there is not a lot of vibration in my opinion. The seats are extremely nice also and very comfortable. I have a friend that helps on the farm that has back issues and he has never mentioned the vibrations being an issue. Hope this helps
@@StewartFarmApiary Thank you very much for your rapid reply.
I'm looking now and wondering what price are all you buying these for?
They are a lot more now - sadly. But I would still pay the price. Yes, it’s worth it
I have a question if it breaks down and won't start how do you tow get back to the garage in other words is there a true neutral thanks for your video
Great question. Yes, there is a true neutral. I’ve never had a single issue with mine.
@@StewartFarmApiary please tell me how you find true neutral just so I know in case my needs Towing
@@chuckb9867 The machine has a low/high. forward and reverse and neutral. when in neutral is is true. I have not towed my machine - you might want to check with Kubota USA about this if my answer is not the level you are looking for.
@@StewartFarmApiary thank you for the reply I will try calling Kubota and finding out
Whatever you do, don't go with the Sidekick 850. Mine has a defective engine and been in the. Shop 6 weeks without much help from Kubota. Guess it's not their engine design so they don't know how to fix it. Kubota doesn't care.
What is the acceleration like? Is it real slow compared to a ranger? Absolutely agree on the LEDs...my 2022 SVL has halogen?????
On flat land she speeds up rather quickly. You will see a decline in speed on a significant incline but it speeds right back up when you even out. She is basically a small kubota tractor frame with a top and some seats. As I mentioned, I love this thing. Wouldn’t trade it for anything else. When it slows down you can really feel the difference in the power of the torque. Shows just how powerful it really is.
hi there tail gat fix may work for you . if interested ua-cam.com/video/OaAJHWtbQ_c/v-deo.html hope it helps john oh o forgot here i have the need to carry long things like 16 foot fence boards or 12 foot ladder its hard to do . working on side caring racks . john
