I just recently got a 1983 Aria Pro II ZZ Deluxe myself. So she just turned 40 this year!! Mine has the original case for it and was all original until I got it. I did some upgrades to mine like a 500k Push/Pull pot for the tone, Gold and Black LP style witch hat knobs, Guitarheads Mega Metal blue pick ups, and Guyker Locking Tuners in Gold. The finish on mine is a color they called "Blue Black Sunburst". She looks blue in pictures but when you get up close and personal with her, she shows she has some green in her. So I would more call her finish a "Teal Sunburst". Absolutely love her to death and as long as I'm breathing, she's going to be by my side. 😎
I bought one of those back in '88 when I was in a band. It had an Act 3 tremolo and locking nuts. Gorgeous guitar. Wish I'd kept it damn worth a mint now!
Regrets... I know that one badly I saved this one from my friend and I always wanted again Aria when I let go on my ZZ back in days... This one is quite insane fun and piece of Finnish rock history
I've got one with an alder body in Candy Apple Red, pale maple neck, gold fittings. All original. I paid £100 for it 2nd hand in 198... something. I couldn't play a note! Taught myself over the years. They're great to learn on. Easy action & the shape lets it just sit on your leg. Doesn't slip off! Great for practicing sitting down...
I had one some 10 years ago. It was horrible to play, but very beautiful. I even thought for a moment to let a luthier make a similar looking, high quality instrument for me. But, as you know...
My first guitar. Did not play well, could not tune, sounded awfully. Put in some Seymour Duncan heavy metal actives, and that helped, but still not good at all
Hi there! I have that guitar and the blue and black one. Got them when I was 17. I’ll pull one out every once in a while and play it at a show. I always get some conversation out of them!! Thanks for the vid.
