Recently watched the bit on Dolly on Netflix. She said her songwriting was what she was most proud of out of all that she has done and the whole thing was idk, encouraging. Pretty brave to post original music, but you have been sharing your honest truths all along, so not surprised. I’m not a music critic, but that song had so much substance. I like your heartfelt honestness. It did seem like a poem that was needing some resolution at the end, a saving grace, and a hopeful ending, maybe thats just me. Your really fluid with your words, and I would say don’t stop. I actually took guitar lessons a few months in my thirties too.

Not bad change your chord progression. Maybe try different chord then B flat. Use a lot of conviction in your writing.
