Yes you managed to make a video with this tool because I was curios about its performance. Now you have to make comparison with the VCX. All the best.

Sir i need your help. Im absolutely new in the „ECU Programming/Flashing area“ and i have a question to my problem.
My dad has a Peugeot 308 from 2007 1.6 HDi 109HP. The ECU from it has Corroded Pins which cause errorcodes like no connection to ABS-ECU and so on. I would like to buy an used donator ECU and Copy the Original ECU to the Donator one, so i can install it back and my dad can drive his car again.
My question is, what solution might be the cheapest? I was thinking about buying a KTAG clone for about 90€ and do the clonework with it. But i want to keep the donator ECU closed so it is originally sealed and 100% waterproof. Is there an option to do it as a bench? Like connecting the pins onto the spot where i took of the plug/cable from the ecu? Its a bosch edc16c34.
Thank you really much for showing so much information to the public! Be blessed for helping people this way 🌹

      Hi.
What I am about to write may not be what you want to hear, but it is what I think is the best thing to do. Rather than paying 90 euros for a clone to do a single cloning, it is better to go to a repair service or a service that does tuning and pay to do this operation, you are safe that you are not doing something wrong and you have no risk. To be able to read that ECU without being disassembled, the cheapest clone costs you 700 euros, and how much does that new ECU cost, you get closer to the value of your car. Now do you think it was worth doing this?

I was hoping for fc200 or ktag for 100€. The donatorecu did cost about 45€. I was hoping to learn something new and make experience 😅.
I totally understand your point! To better pay a little bit more to be sure it is made professionally. But i know there are a lot of black sheeps out there that did disappoint me because they lie. Let me give you an example… we had a vw sharan 2.0 tdi with the wonderful fault of adblue system. We went to a vw service point, a friend of a known friend did something special he didnt really want to tell me what he did.. but he said he want 200€ for it. So i was doing long research after that.. he just did a regeneration with vcds which takes a few minutes. He told me, that they needed to disassemble the nox sensor and repair it and clean it… but they did shit because i did it before bringing the car to him.. and it didnt help. And im sure that he did that regeneration thing, because i bought a year later a vcds and did it myself for our car after it got that problem again, and it went away. (At the end it was a faulty egr vent, which was worn out and everything got gunkt up with carbon).
These kind of people took my trust away, letting to something by „professionals“ who want the wage of a professional but do absolutely shit work. Not that everyone is like that but i see a lot of that kind of „professionals“ causing my trust issues.

And i wanted to ask, are there so many steps i could fail at? I did a lot of phonerepair, car repair, diagnostics and i did an apprenticeship as programmer. I think that i got at least a little bit of knowledge in some cases.
I would guess, that i have to read a chip (or more chips), and take a copy of it and overwrite the donor part. Before i do that, i would do a backup of both ECUs so if i did anything wrong, i have at least the backupfiles, to get that job done by a hopefully professional 😄.
Would you still adivse me to do it by a company, than learning it by myself? I love to learn something by myself, and getting help via UA-cam, forums and google :)!

Hi, I'm interested to buy a programmer for working only on BMW cars, which one do you recommend me? I'm between, VVDI BMW, CG PRO, CG 100... I need it for FRM repair, CAS, ACSM.... thanks! I know I might need all of them... but I want to choose the best out there for the beginning.
