      You can train at the gym where he trains and you can meet him everyday. Im pretty sure you can even pay him for a private training session.

    rod tang is so dominant in muay thai bc just like guys such as rico or alex pereira, he implements techniques from boxing and makes it effective. such as footwork and you can see in this clip not to mention his punches are thrown very crisp

      @@nile7999 if you watch most muay thai or kickboxing fights they usually plod and walk guys down, not to mention boxers skip rope and do ladders a lot more than other styles. regardless, my hat still goes off to anyone who fights

      @@markmessi9020 ​ I agree boxing footwork is most complicated and boxers use footwork the most bc they don’t have to worry abt kicks but I think what he meant to say is that footwork techniques are not exclusive to just boxing, if you use pure boxing footwork in Muay Thai, kickboxing, mma your gna stand heavy on the lead leg and it’s gna be rly rly hard to check kicks and your gna get your legs absolutely destroyed, you have to combine footwork techniques from boxing, Muay Thai/kickboxing which is rly difficult tbh

      He has seen the same pattern with many beginners so dont need to see full sequence of mistakes, he probably guessed it after seeing other half he might have good intution as a bonus everything is pattern recognition he is a legend

    Its called rhythm step, terrible mistake from boxers and kickboxers, muay thai doesn't have that problem since you're always bouncing and shifting weights between front and back foot.

      depends on the situation, if you’re looking to counter it’s ok to stay heavy on your back foot, if you’re looking to move then you’re right: you stay on your toes to move around

      depends how boxers use it. There’s a boxer named Willie pep, and he used to put his feet together to change angles. It’s called a V step. It’s pretty cool honestly

    Holy shit, I just realized almost everyone at my gym does this in sparring. This video just blew my mind, that explains why I can read head kicks so well from most people. I guess my instincts noticed it before my brain. Genuinely, thank you.

      @@ehernandez08 Even some elite fighters telegraph, they just get away with it because they can compensate with other traits (i.e. power or iron chin). If you don't address these type of minor details early in the beginning, it's VERY hard to get rid of them later in your combat sports journey, in particular, if you got away with them most of the time.

    Rodtang (The Iron Man), Its literally the biggest tank in Muay Thai, he literally gets multiple punches to the head without any reaction. And literally tanks a MUAY THAI KICK TO THE GROIN😭

    Always good to film yourself and then watch back at half speed . You'll pick up all sorts of things. Also practice everything slow at first . If you can't do it slow there's a good chance you're off balance and using speed to cover it . Bad habits come easy but can be very hard to get rid of.

      Exactly brother! I danced for years (hip hop, salsa, etc) and I use my dancing footwork in MMA and Boxing every day!!! It may not be by the book but it's my style and martial arts is, art! Having such unusual footwork allows me incredible balance and power from all angles, and it allows for a ton of set-ups, traps and improvisation!!! Bruce Lee: RARA

    what I like most about the Thais isn't the brutality that wow'ed me when I was younger. It's how at the top level there's this emphasis on efficiency and economy of movement thats graceful at times.
