WE CREATED HURDLES FOR BARS NEAR SCHOOLS & SHRINES : CM, Dr. Pramod Sawant

CM Dr Pramod Sawant has clarified on the issue of allowing bars within 100 metres of schools and place of worship.
CM said: The opposition is unnecessarily raising the issue about bars within 100 Mts of schools and place of worship. Right from 1980s, this provision of allowing the bars exists and all the CMs have given permission. Many of the MLAs from opposition who are now raising false issue have moved notes asking for exemption.
What my government has done is that we have created hurdle for such bars by doubling the licence fees. If I had to cancel permissions of all such bars, then they would have gone to the court.
