    Wow, modern horns are real different than vintage. When I work on my saxophones, it’s a mess, because most of the convenient stuff you take for granted hadn’t been invented yet.

    Amazing workmanship. Is this video intended for enabling people to do this work themselves? I've never tried anything except for neck cork replacement and gluing on pieces of cork here and there😊I don't have any saxophone repair shops where I live, so I'd love being able to do my own work. Not sure if I have the necessary skills and confidence though😊

      Thank you! Yes this is intended for you to be able to work on the instrument yourself! Please consider subscribing to the channel, there is lots of free information posted weekly. With our repair kit you'll be able to get started working on your own instrument. We have been around long enough that some professional repair technicians started with our repair kit, and gone on to do the work full time.

      One of the basic skills we teach is how to take apart and put an instrument back together. It is a lengthy process to teach, but not one to learn. We do have in person courses where we take the isntrument completely apart and put it back together.
