Thank you Naomi for your lovely comment. We are so glad you found the video enjoyable enough to want to visit such a lovely historic place. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year to you and yours 🥰🥂
What a lovely walking tour of Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top, the village of Near Sawrey, Moss Eccles pond, Wray Castle, Hawkshead and the BP Gallery. Amongst the 4,000 acres and 14 farms these are the most iconic places to really feel the careful preservation that Potter bestowed to the National Trust. The sheep that are black and gray with white faces are Herdwicks, the indigenous fell breed of the Lake District which Potter also was instrumental in protecting and breeding. Thanks for your filming - I felt like I had a nice visit again in Beatrix Potter’s World!
Thank you so much for the information on the sheep, they were not the usual type we see in Cornwall so we’re not sure of the breed. They were beautiful. Yes you really do get a great sense of Beatrix Potter and her life here and how she drew inspiration form such a wonderful area. We are members of the National Trust and love the work they do so we Can enjoy our history from the past for years to come. Thank you for watching our videos and would maybe consider watching the one we did of Wray castle. Enjoy 😊
Hello there, you are most welcome. We had an amazing time wondering around Beatrice Potters beautiful house. It has so much charm and a calming feel about it. Have you visited the Hill top house yourself? If not I would highly recommend it. Thank you for your kind comment.

Greetings from Maryland in the United States! So glad I found you on UA-cam since I’m presently pursuing any and all ideas about Beatrix. Thank you for sharing your visit with me ❤
The inspiration for Peter rabbit and Mr McGregor's garden was actual a property owned by relatives near Denbigh, North Wales. The property is still owned by her family and the garden and potting shed are still exactly as she illustrated them.
Studied Beatrix Potter for 2 years and was so disappointed to find out the National Trust sold off part of Beatrix's land in the Lake District to raise funds !
Quick question:- where do the terms 'puddleduck', 'cottontail', etc originate? You'll find that her 'genius' was in plagiarising folktales from the Black slave experience in the old American South. Has this been publicly acknowledged and credited by the Potter society and avid readers?
Sadly yes but she left us with such a great legacy that will entertain generations to come. We were lucky to have had her and great full to the National Trust for taking care of her memory and sharing it with us. Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you Georgia and Ian for your view, filming was so lovely. It will suffice for me until I can visit myself after Covid. Thank you for sharing.
