I love how Rebecca and Billy saluted each other at the end. It showed her respect toward him as a soldier as well as a man, and his toward her strong virtue and determination. I hope they bring these two together in the future. They have great chemistry.
Yeah, that's silly. RE0 had the weakest plot among the classic-style games. Making a prequel was a risky move and they did it in the laziest way possible, story-wise. Actually, even as a game, it wasn't so great: it looked fantastic, but the mechanics felt really old: you still had to push the "interact" button to climb the stairs! The only new elements were the switching system (which got old very fast - and managing two characters simultaneously at times was just frustrating) and the molotov bombs, which were essentially another idea from RE 1.5 that got recycled in a later game - it's funny how they say the first version of RE2 was "not good" and yet they kept using ideas that were originally going to be featured there (upgradable costumes, hand grenades, shutters you could operate at will, characters holding guns with both hands while walking, monkey creatures and so on).
@@thermonuclearcollider4418 i call bullshit on some things you said, you dont have to puch the action button on any stairs in that game, its the exact same as re3, you just walk, however some stairs are loading scenes, unlike remake where all stairs are free to walk in, and never have any loadings, but yes the story kinda sucked, i hated that there was no item boxes, and no NPCs to interact with, the only NPCs was the dead edward, and you meet enrico, but that was just a cutscene, all the previous games had several NPCs to interact with on some places
Some people are saying she's out of character. I disagree. Rebecca is smart, and that's why she knows well enough to give Chris what little ammo she's got left and stay out of the way. Even if it makes her look bad, she's sharp enough to know she's in no condition to keep soldiering on by this point. By the time RE1 happens, she's been on her feet riding adrenaline for hours. She's been knocked around, beaten up, cut-open, deprived of sleep or even rest throughout a long-term period of sustained stress and trauma. Plus, there had to be a pretty bad breakdown once it became obvious she wasn't going to be linking up with the Bravos after all. She's a screw-up because she's messed up, exhausted, depressed, and probably a tiny bit crazy, all things considered. It also explains why she thinks to mess with the piano. She's done this crap before, she knows what's going on. Since she's covering for Billy, she can't explain the things she's been through prior to the mansion, so she has to play dumb and naive. It actually works pretty well. ...Unlike the other 80 percent of that game's plot.

Sure she had nightmares that took a long time to get over, but she got to have a normal job working at a university and didn't have to keep fighting monsters like the others did. Not until she got pulled back into it in Vendetta and Death Island. Unless of course anything else happened to her in between RE1 and Vendetta that hasn't yet been established

This is actually my favourite resi ending. It's so haunting and sorrowful but also hopeful. The chemistry between these two was really the best in the series. They salute. She walks away. Takes his tags. Billy gives her her thumbs up back. All surrounded by the idyllic but threatening raccoon forest. It's nice. A flawed but deeply underrated and overlooked resident evil.

Pedro Pardal She's coming out in the new CG movie Biohazard Vendetta they chose to keep her alive, and you can also let Billy die in re 1 but he's in Revelations 2. They kept them both alive.

Yeah unfortunately for Rebecca and the rest of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team, Kenneth, Forest, Richard and Enrico, they erroneously believed that the Spencer Mansion would be a safe place to hide out until the Alpha Team arrived, and when they got there and were attacked they probably were in no shape to put up a decent fight and just made a run for it, hiding out in different parts of the Mansion, it also explains why you find them in different areas in RE1
From that massive leaked information from capcom, about future games and projects , Revelations 3 is coming out this year, and it seems it would be starring Rebecca,let's just hope Billy is in as well! (Also, forgive My English;-;)
that's because RE1 has many different endings (3 for Chris and 3 for Jill to be exact) The best ending is a theorical one where all 4 (Jill, Chris, Barry and Rebbeca) survive. In the actual game that doesn't happen dying either Barry or Rebbeca depending on the player even if you get the good ending.

Great game. After this game i become a fan of the resident evil series, great survival horror franshise. the ending was beatiful and a good and nice ending. i have played almost every RE games now, only RE4 and 7 left. i loved both characters Rebecca and Billy and i hope we see Billy again in Another RE game. this game is a 8/10 game. took me 16 hours to beat the game and the story was great too. i cant wait to play re4 and 7 that will be awesome and re8 is coming next year!:)
I dont like to conpare resident evil zero's Rebecca to the RE(1996) one because i dont like how she is defenseless against the hunter when you have to save her. Cuz LOL dude she went thew way worse than that. PS. BILLY IS MORE BAD ASS THAN LEON LOL. I like them both just sayn

Running pass a Hunter with low ammo, Danger low health + the Hunter has seen you (trapped her in a corner) can be hard. 3. Maybe she panicked/behaved different thx to everything she experience in Zero, surviving Zero and RE1 at the... same day (it's same day... right?) can be hard. Chris, Jill and Barry where already more experienced then Rebecca before Zero/RE1 when it comes to combat (not zombie killing) i think, since Rebecca is a medic type(not sure about that tho), but she had to go through Zero, and RE1 a little with maybe less exp. So Rebecca panicking/getting crazy at some point ain't too strange i belive. Even Chris and Jill panicked or reacted strange during the very start of RE1

First rule to follow when you make a prequel is coherence, if you ask me... Rebecca wasn't the best choice for that kind of prequel, since every gamer has played Resi 1 knows her as "the harmless rookie" - and by the way, how it's possible if S.T.A.R.S members are supposed to be all veterans? A rookie like her can't join an elite task force! Capcom's logic is weird.
She goes on her own the entire game, even save Chris from danger, is ok that she can be saved from the hunter in re1/remake since she is only human, not a goddess.

Untitled Cubed Not really, that really depends on you. During multiple parts in Chris's story in Resident Evil remake you get the choice to save her or not. But in terms of the actual story Rebecca is still alive.

[sorry for my poor english, but...] why, why, WHY REBECCA is such a damsel in distress in Resident Evil 1, if just a few hours earlier she was pwning a lot of zombies? The mansion is a piece of cake confronted to what she have passed in RE zero! So? Amnesia?! WTF stupid Capcom.

First rule to follow when you make a prequel is coherence, if you ask me... Rebecca wasn't the best choice for that kind of prequel, since every gamer has played Resi 1 knows her as "the harmless rookie" - and by the way, how it's possible if S.T.A.R.S members are supposed to be all veterans? A rookie like her can't join an elite task force! Capcom's logic is weird.
She goes on her own the entire game, even save Chris from danger, is ok that she can be saved from the hunter in re1/remake since she is only human, not a goddess.

Untitled Cubed Not really, that really depends on you. During multiple parts in Chris's story in Resident Evil remake you get the choice to save her or not. But in terms of the actual story Rebecca is still alive.

How is she dead exactly? It's never explained at all even on the resident evil wiki it even says she is still alive.

Chris & Jill, Barry, Brad, Rebeca still alive after Blow up the mansion. but CAPCOM didn't made Sequel and her story. Anyway, she wasn't dead.
