【Jidori-yaki Toriya】 Michelin-listed exquisite yakitori restaurant/Shinjuku

  • This time we visited Jidori-yaki Toriya, a famous charcoal-grilled yakitori restaurant on Shinjuku Junisha-dori.
    This restaurant won a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2015 Michelin, but the location is not great, and the restaurant is located in the basement of a building.
    The bar-like restaurant has an impressive wood-grained counter, and with table seating and private rooms, it truly has the atmosphere of an adult's hideout.
    It is a relaxed space that could be used for a date or for important business entertainment.
    This time, we reserved a table at the counter.
    The counter seats at Toriya are close to the grill, so you can enjoy a realistic view of the cooking scene and the smoke from the charcoal fire as you watch the food being grilled.
    The counter is recommended for solo diners as well, as the distance between the staff and diners is moderate and comfortable.
    The ingredients are mainly Hinai Jidori chicken, and the chef actually talks with farmers and producers before deciding on the ingredients, and you can feel the attention to detail even in the case of a single egg.
    This time, we ordered a nine-course meal.
    The portions of each dish are not very large, so if you are a man or like Coco-san, and want to eat a variety of dishes, the 9-piece course is a good choice.
    There were not only yakitori, but also vegetables and chopstick rests, so I could enjoy it until the last meal.
    A few years ago, you could get in on the same day, but nowadays it is probably safer to make a reservation in advance.
    It is a popular restaurant with many regulars, but even first-time visitors do not feel uncomfortable.
    Also, the charcoal smoke will not make your clothes stink.
    This is probably because the grilling area is partitioned off by glass and is well air-conditioned.

    ここ最近の動画の中で一番そそられました‼️
    わたしの田舎にはこんなコースを出してくれるお店はない(^^;

      かなりタックさんは焼き鳥にお酒にと大満足だったようです😁
      私はというと、たまごに魅了されました。
      つくねの卵、親子丼の卵、たまご最高でしたよ😍
      それと、幸い夏やせも夏バテもしておりませんで今のところ健康にまるっとしております😚
      あの服が着やせしてたのかなー
