I recently purchased a similar piece...the platinum Day-Date with the olive green Roman numeral dial. No diamonds on the bezel, like this one. The platinum goes really well with the olive green dial. A bit more understated, and more elegant, than the yellow and everose gold Day-Dates.
To you, but to me the yellow gold looks way more elegant.
@@goldpharaoh6976 Well, of course...it's obviously my opinion. I'm careful with my choice of the word elegant. I don't necessarily like it better. I also love my yellow and everose gold Day-Dates for different reasons. I like to wear them when I like a bit more pop. Depends on the outfit, the situation, how I'm feeling, etc.

I don’t mean to sound like a hater but I would have expected that by now you would know that “Western” numerals are also called Arabic. The ones specific to this watch are Eastern Arabic

I have sent an email to one of the Rolex agents in Singapore to ask the price of the 40mm in Platinum with diamonds set bazel. When they replied me back, i was disapointed to know that it cost $162,500. After that i changed my mind because it was too cheap for me. 🤭
I thought platinum was only available with the ice blue dials...never seen online pics of diff color dials online, this is the first time. Is there a platinum DD black dial?
tom brady was wearing that olive dial day date at french open but I don't think it had the diamond bezel.

If I had $300,000 to spend on a rare Rolex I would buy the yellow gold Date-Date with the rubie bezel and pave diamond dial. Thats a more rare piece than this platinum with the Arabic dail.
It’s too rare to even have a choice 😂
The Ruby is trading around $230,000, this around $340,000.
Also the Arabic Dial is rarer, as it is only originally sold through 1 Authorized Dealer in the Gulf.

Rolex really need to make watches without gold. I’ve got so many watches I want but they have gold. I’m Muslim and men can’t wear gold in Islam.

@@BasilNadeem nothing is available at Rolex Authorized Dealers. These days you have to buy from from Non-Authorized dealers at "market price".
haha.. the Islamic tradition of not wearing gold was to not show opulence, so instead, they made it in Platinum.

Theoretically in Dubai. But they will not sell it to someone with no purchase history with them.
