I have an Alde flexible hose that broke at the connection on the radiator. It's because the flexible hose got a bulge. It's a short hose from the tank to the radiator. What kind and size flexible hose do I need. I want to order a new piece. Thank you for your help and video. This was a huge help to me for knowing I can fix my issue myself. :-)
Yes I think you'll be OK for DIY repair. Those scissor clamps will be important and have a few rags or towell and different size/height containers to catch any extra liquid. Not sure on the spec of the hose sorry
@@caravanwise One thing I noticed is that the bulge in the hose right before the clamp on the connector to the radiator, is a build up of sludge. I'm thinking of cutting back, both hoses that go on that side, which includes the split one, cleaning the sludge off and re-connecting. Should I need to completely drain the Aldi system or just clamp off the hoses, fill up and then bleed the system? I'm thinking it may be nice if I don't have to drain the entire system, but I've never completely replaced the fluid. Thanks so much for your replies. You've been very helpful!
@@BeatleTracks Firstly I'm not a professional... Your approach sounds like a good on. In terms of your question - from what i've read like in the alde manual the fluid is meant to be changed each 5 years. This is because the coolant provides lubrication (e.g. lubrication for the pump) as well as thermo capabilities. That said when I rang Alde New Zealand they said noone does a fluid change that they're aware of. The fliud is like $100 or less so not a biggie but up to you if you think the benefit is there. I found theres a couple of litres in the heater/pump area so a fair bit spilled out that didn't drain from the drain port hence having containers of difference sizes handy (and a bundle of rags) before you start to avoid any mess. Unfortunately I didn't anticipate this and had some fluid running across the floor. Hope this helps you make your decision.

What did you use to fill the system back up?
