Heart says Virtus while mind says Verna, I think Verna is more compelling as it has more features (ADAS etc..) and sits lower in price despite all the new features.
ADAS is useless in India, I own the Verna. Had to switch off front collision warning feature of ADAS. Motorcycle Wale aagey aatey hain to khud brake lga deti hai apne aap. Bohot problem hoti hai uske saath

Virtus was never a competition of verna if you’ve a good knowledge of cars… these germans are built different… some fanboys will bark that the quality has been downgraded on new model and I agree on that upto some extent… the window motors are of low quality and at some points the quality is not as per VW standards but still better than the so called competition.. just drive the germans and see the difference. You feel like you’re driving something well engineered machine
Wait Hyundai will launch nline Verna and then it will be better than virtus gt in terms of handling and stability as well.
And already the Verna is quicker than the virtus gt ignoring sone fake biased videos
U peoples only talk about performance
Where goes your reliability, resale value and horror service experience
Verna is clearly ahead interms of everything
And mind you hyundai and Volkswagen/skoda are the only car manufacturers which gives high standard premium materials under 30lakhs

Verna is not looking like competition of virtus, it looks like car of 2-3 segments above. Remove Hyundai logo, place all cars in segment at one place, no one will touch virtus. Not to mention it is defeating virtus in drags so badly too.

I don't have high regards for German engineering. I mean if verna wins in power, performance, comfort and features... German engineering simply means incompetent.

Soft touch points inside, front parking sensors, electronic parking brake, wireless charger (that actually works), much more comfortable seats, significantly cheaper to maintain and incredible resale value (2014 Verna vs Vento price difference in resale is almost 2 lakh), air purifier, better suspension (since no one needs stiffness unless you're above 150 kmph), much better interior, much better mileage and so on. German tech is great, in Germany. In India, I'd stick with Toyota, Maruti and Hyundai (in that order) and if I'm buying a car for enthusiastic driving, I'd get a second owned octavia rs (coming for 27-30) or newer models launching in late 2023

@@realrk95 virtus has second row headrest, height adjustable passanger seat, wireless android auto, it has soft touch too, air purifier's gimmick and most important 5 ⭐ safety, rear seats are better for 2 people on virtus while verna is better for 3, stiff suspension helps in highway cornering, driving dynamics is better on virtus. All in all virtus cover the basic feature, it's higher variant are better than verna due to better dynamics and chassis, verna thou has edge on lower variants that are too VFM (although for safety city has edge).
& Maintanence cost isn't that high Hyundai too charges a decent amount for turbo engine.

@@Ayush_552 still VW's has stable bodyshell while verna has unstable bodyshell, but a 5 star from verna really make it neck to neck in terms with VW, they need to introduce facelift next year as thier Sedans are more competitive in sales than their SUV's.
Ek taraf aap kehte ho ki agar apko safety chahiye toh virtus apke liye hain. Dusri taraf aap e keh rahe ho ki agar mujhe car leni ho me bhi chalata hu, mere papa bhi chalate ho, dada dadi bhi jate ho toh verna apke liye hain. Matlab yeh kya baat huyi??? Verdict would be -- Virtus anyday
Brother, he is saying if you want a car which is safe and in which you have to take your family out often then you should choose Verna. As it is has features, and is more comfortable than virtus.

Virtus is faster than Verna. Without any doubt. Verna fanboys stop crying. Virtus has a better engine refinement, Engine power delivery, If you want to tune the engine, There are endless possibilities for a VW in India. To add more points, Virtus has a better DCT (DSG) System, Its got a 5 star safety for Adult and child occupants and it also got the looks. Also, It has better driving feel and slightly higher ground clearance.

Already tested and proven Verna beat Virtus by good distance in 0-100 and even 20-100.. its heabreaking but have to accept it..
