This is ultimate! The final word on how to get your CPL license from abroad!
Becoming a pilot is no easy task. The process is complicated, time consuming and burns a lot of money. So, I thought why not make your lives a little simple by giving you the steps you need to follow to get to that cockpit seat.
I hope this video will clear up a lot of your doubts and give you a lot of clarity on the how and why of becoming a pilot in India.

Some things to add on this: MAKE SURE your choice of aircraft you do your training in abroad, is available in India. If you did your entire flying in an aircraft not available in India (eg DA20 or a selected few Piper aircraft etc), you cannot convert that in India.
Also, the aircraft you gave CPL check in abroad, has to be the same when giving your checks in India (eg if you're type rated for Cessna 152 and 172, and you gave your foreign CPL check on a 172, your Indian check will be on a 172.
And, you don't have to give technical specific in India IF you're only converting one single engine aircraft and one multi engine aircraft. If you want additional type ratings than those 2, you have to give technical specific.
What is technical specific?

Technical general is basically all technical stuff which is common (eg wings, engine etc). Technical specific is technical stuff related to a specific aircraft (eg a Cessna 172)

Mukund Singh there is a checklist in the CPL application form, it's mostly that. And a whole lot of random docs that even I can't comprehend. Your best bet is to ask a flying school who has experience with foreign conversion students.

@@sumvnt The loan will be held up to us. The rest the bank knows when we get the job. So the the money of the loan has nothing to do with the checks. The schemes that we choose gives the the money and that we use for the checks

channel 35 depends on the school you go to. Could be less than a year, could be 3 years. So there is no exact answer.
Minimum 1.5 years igrua and chimes maximum 4 yrs in bfc....

@@tanishathakur533 flight plan is basically a plan that you make before going somewhere like which airspace you're going to pass. Which ATCs to contact while in the flight etc

@@joker-dh7so there are many such as Brampton and Miami flying school etc , the choice of your school really depends on you.
The reason its cheaper outside is because that , fuel in india is expensive, hence every flight you fly makes it cost more than what will cost you in countries with cheaper fuel ,
Currently best countries for cpl are USA , Canada, Australia , new Zealand , south Africa , uk ,
There are many cheap flight jn Thailand and Philippines as well but they are mostly scam and dgca does not support them,

Don't Take Money To Single Point, That's The Main Reasons Why Only Very Few Indians Are Able To Succeed, Nobody Have Taken The Opportunity From you. Be Deserving And You'll Get A Job.
One very important thing that capt tapesh here missed is you can do your FAA ( USA) , CASA ( aus ) , Nz etc medicals here in india .
Indian doctors some of them are licensed to carry out medicals of other countries so u can check that off your list before u land up there and also be on the safer side.

I'd really like to know what's the difference between training in India and abroad and why we should choose one over the other.
Rounak Bhauka quality of training is way better abroad, and flying is usually faster.
Cost of living is lower (ie overall less expensive) and documentation is easier if flying in India

@@priyomb6381 If you're just out of 12th, best is to get into some degree program now because the Aviation industry is down. Clear your DGCA papers in the last year and join some flying school after that.
If you've done your bachelor's degree, go get some job and wait for 1-1.5 years and watch the industry comeback. And then enter into some flying club.
@@priyomb6381 And if the decesion of joining a flying school is final, then join Skyhawk Aviation in South Africa. Whole CPL in 26-27Lacs.
