Always Yeju and Yifat confuse me but I love these. regions for a reason. One is anything Wolllo is my loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother come from among others. Besides I was born in Wollo and King Lalibela’s monolithic speciality the level of his faith and the Cross shaped Kidus Giorgis Church very admirable and I was born Holy Spirt. Maybe my mother being from Wollo now in California and among her mother and grandmother are resting in Geshen Marina therefore must be all Mariam spirit. Then if we return to Yifat which is close to Manz my father’s mother birthplace and she must be the Manz Mariam spirit and my father a soldier and a farmer serving Emperor Hailesilassie, a loyal soldier and Christian in the Spirit of St. Gabriel. I never heard from anyone else some things my father tells u, the most famous “aytom zim semtom zim” the Captain. One day a man was told like that when another man (morete) was having partly open coffin askeren on his table and having a feast alone. Then the one who was having a feast on the freshly dug askeren it was told said to the other visitor “aytom zim semtom zim” alew yebalal. Obviously the visitor left. My question was the visitor ever my own father then since he is the only one that says the famous saying by the feast table at his morete’s home ? The reason one other day when living in Afenegus Gibe at a very young age, a couple talking right at the door while our just born child was being cleaned and like gider sitfenetz or like tebot was looking at the kid the husband and wife all with their custom cloth including the husband wearing netela or kuta always. Then in no time our kid got sick, why because those couple must have been morete. Then the worst arrived, our child brother named Thomas passed. The worst of all I thought was Thomas was not old enough yet to be Christened therefore he can only be buried outside the Church gibe. Then what makes anyone not to think when at the burial the couple morete were there to see the location of the child’s grave and when it gets dark they take the fresh child and may have also visited by someone and had to also say “aytom zim semtom zim” folks? The best thing that happened was my father after a few years he had a military gun named Thomson where he chased the communist Girmame Neway out of the Emperor’s palace. Then years later living near Genet hotel in the south I personally without planning picked up the unloaded Thomson gun and chased dureyes from the area surprisingly very scared and never seen them again. That sure is a Thomson era. I hope you find this interesting. There is more story about my great grandmother who rests in Gishen Mariam.
